Dave Finlay & Jerry Flynn vs. Kazuyuki Fujita & Kendo Kashin

[5.0] "Finlay is awesome, Flynn is....not so. That said, for a short match this was fairly decent. Finlay stiffs Fujita and co with uppercuts and lariats, Kashin gets his usual stuff in fine enough (through he works some German Catch stuff with Finlay which was a fun nod) and Fujita looks solid as a mat-based submission worker. Flynn botches the one spot he has on the apron (namely kicking someone coming off the ropes so Finlay can lariat them) and Kashin doesn't sell his kick (I doubt he even knew it was coming given Flynn is nowhere near the mark) and they have to repeat the spot, only with Fujita. Flynn comes in for about a minute here, namely to land a savate kick and knee drop for a random pin attempt. Fujita sells well for the two as they hone in on him with strikes and some dirty work, the highlight being Flynn hitting a pair of corner flying spin kicks, which I'll admit for a big 6'6 guy was done about as smoothly as could be. The foreigners eventually lose after Kashin and co throw Finlay and Flynn into each other and they hit dual cross armbreakers on the two guys for the tap out win. Fairly decent house-show bout but nothing that interesting ultimately, through the Finlay work was fun for what it was. Everyone pulls out a standard performance and I'll give Flynn credit, he looked fine for the minute or so he was in and nailed all of his spots. Fujita wasn't remarkable here but he's getting better with his strikes and timing."
