[8.0] "Great stuff here from the older lucha vault. Atlantis really impressed me here as all of his offense looked spectacular. El Satanico did a great job being the rugged and grimey rudo with his closed fist punches, slamming Atlantis's head on the the apron sponsor, and using every dirty trick to counter Atlantis's holds. I liked how El Satanico did like a double underhook pin in the second fall which reminded me both of Kurt Angle's chicken wing pin, and Saki Kashima's Revival. The third fall was my favorite because of the blood and how Atlantis went down to Santanico's level (Hell, I suppose). And I love how nearly the whole time it was in black and white because of a transmission error. Four Stars out of Five."

The crowd is shocked after a quick first fall from Atlantis, but what follows is a struggle from both men to get the overall win and El Satanico struggles way more than he thought he would against the newbie."

[10.0] "I watched this match on a grainy copy ln YouTube and I was still utterly enthralled by it. Atlantis is one of the greatest luchadores of all time (he's second to only El Hijo del Santo in my book; still have to watch some matches from El Santo himself) and he has an amazing opponent in El Satanico."

[9.0] "Atlantis is a name some would recognise at least from his modern matches against Villano III, Ultimo Guerrero or La Sombra. Here, he is a young rising superstar looking to continue his rise to stardom against one of the top rudos (heels) in Mexico at the time, El Santanico. The name screams rudo instantly. El Satanico was arguably at the time of his game as a main eventer in the mid 80s and would stay in the main events for years to come. Match starts out rockin with Atlantis hitting some arm drags and starts to begin attacking the back of Satanico by throwing him into the corner and a camel clutch and makes short work of El Satanico with a row boat type submission for the win. Satanico sells his back really well during the fall, just stumbling around slowly and falling to the fall after the bumps in the corner. More of the same in the 2nd fall with Atlantis attacking the back but Satanico using his cheating tactics to gain control and viciously attacks Atlantis and taunts the crowd before rolling him up for the 2nd fall win. He begins ripping the mask before and during the 3rd falls, really playing up the hate the crowd is diving him. Atlantis bumps and sells super hard, all while he starts bleeding through his mask. It makes for a great visual too.. Atlantis makes his comeback and slams Satanico? s heads in the turnbuckle as the fans go crazy for him. The two start exchanging some strikes, mixed in with some great brawling. Satanico gets busted open, both are bleeding buckets, the crowd are going mental and the selling is fantastic which makes it all the better. The finishing stretch is awesome too with El Satanico getting the submission win after reversing an abdominal stretch. This is truly a fantastic match, well worth watching. ****1/2"

[8.0] "Yeah, I'll gladly recommend this match. This is like an old camp horror movie that you would throw on your bedroom wall with a stolen school projector with a couple buddies to revel in how "real" they made all the gore look. Except with the glorious medium of pro wrestling, the gore is all real. At one point the footage turns black & white on accident due to filming and that pretty much sends this match into a heavenly territory that few other matches can reach. El Satanico takes Atlantis to town and it is great. The only good Lucha match to ever exist."
