[8.0] "This was a great match. The King of the Mountain match was once a staple for Slammiversary shows. Convoluted as the match may have been in conception, there have been several high quality KOTM matches as it's basically a multi man ladder match with a couple of rules thrown in. For the 20th anniversary of Impact Wrestling, they brought it back, this time for the Knockouts division, calling it Queen of the Mountain. Tasha Steelz would defend the Knockouts Championship against women who were all former champions. If I had to pick one, I'd say Mia Yim was the MVP of the match, but everyone played their part well. Mickie James was the special enforcer, similar to Kevin Nash during the KOTM match at Slammiversary 2008. Similar to that match, Mickie did get involved when she was attacked by Chelsea Green during the match. There several high spots during the match, most involving Mia Yim. Of course the big one was Chelsea Green and Deonna Purrazzo having the ladder tipped over and falling through two tables. Jordynne Grace would end up winning the match and would pretty much help carry the division for the next couple of years as it's top star. There were a couple of awkward moments, but it was still a fun match up. ****"
[10.0] "IT WAS PERFECT! I love this stipulation, it might be hard to understand at first but when you will watch a few of those matches you will fall in love. All those 5 Knockouts (+ Mickie and Savannah outside the ring) did amazing job. The match was filled with amazing spots such as cutter from the top rope, dropkick from the penalty box, huge fall from the ladder and many jumps to the outside. Everything just clicked here also Mickie as special enforcer was perfect choice because she had history with most of the participants which was executed very well during the match. The winner was Jordynne Grace, at that time the most unexpected winner but we can tell it was perfect choice. *****"
[8.0] "The knockouts made sure the first Queen of the Mountain was memorable. Some smart use of the rules to remove people from the match. The final few spots looked rough to take, kudos to Purrazo and Green for that fall."
[8.0] "A mess of a match but tons of fun throughout. They do a good job keeping the action nonstop and relatively easy to follow. Mickie James is a factor, although she does some unfair stuff to Chelsea Green. The table spot at the end is pretty great."
[7.0] "The King/Queen of the Mountain stipulation is quite a mess. It cut a lot of good sequences just because someone gained a pin. It is basically a ladder match with pinfalls and submissions, yeah, but the first part of the fight was really messed up. Mickie Jame's presence added really something. The second part was cool. The girls took a lot of risks, like Purrazzo and Green who took a fucking nasty bump on those tables. The finish was pretty interesting, though."
[8.0] "First time matches in Impact mostly become a hit and this was no different - a historic and wild match having five talented knockouts showing their best in the tank. Mia was the MVP of the match bringing her expertise in ladder matches while Deonna & Green earned a lot of respect if they haven't for the craziest spot they took. Tasha thrived in huge environments again as usual while the crowning of Grace back to the upper echelon was done in a massive way. Mickie James as the special enforcer added nice layers of bad blood between her and some combatants. I'm glad that Grace got her rewarding title win even though my pick was Mia. 4 out of 5 stars!"
[9.0] "Kind of liked that match a lot. Along with Moose-Callihan, I guess I'm just in a mood for some stipulation matches. Not everything was smooth and safe but a great showing from everyone."
[7.0] "A tribute to an old TNA staple but also a first-ever match for the women's division. KotM/QotM matches are really convoluted conceptually but in essence they're just ladder matches with pinfalls & submissions and this was worked very well around that. Jordynne & Deonna were the obvious standouts, I loved the submission around the ladder's leg to get Deonna's fall. Deonna & Chelsea's bump near the end was insane too, one of the wildest bumps I've ever seen in a women's match. Jordynne was the right winner here, she's been putting in a lot of work at Impact lately so I'm glad to see her rewarded. Tasha's scrappiness to try and keep her title reign safe was solid too, as the glue that held the match together. ***1/4+"
[7.0] "Oh, how hard Chelsea Green and Deonna Purrazzo flew into the tables, exactly the main moment of the match. In general, an ambiguous spectacle, although the rules are extremely clear, but they did not add intrigue, while somehow I could not put what I saw into one composition, somehow the girls worked together neutrally with each other. There were bright moments, but they did not reach a higher rating, as for me. I am happy for the new champion Jordynne and really well done. Tasha Steelz tried to look confident in the role of champion, but I will only praise her for her work in the ring. Mickie James as a judge even managed to conquer me with her beauty."
[8.0] "The work of all the fighters who took part in this fight is to be applauded. The stipulation is complicated and leaves some moments of emptiness or some confusion, but the fast pace of some spots and the chemistry that was seen between all of them, added to the role played by Mickie James, resulted in a very high level bout. Special mention to Mia Yim, whose experience in ladder matches was reflected in the ring. Chelsea Green shined with the most complicated spots, Deonna looked superb, Tasha finally gave the big match she needed in her career and Jordynne had the coronation we all asked for."
[7.0] "Weird match. Maybe it's that the stipulation confuses me beyond belief - you have to pin someone in order to become "eligible" to climb a ladder? Meh, Impact gonna Impact. Tasha getting pinned four times and submitted once just screamed "oh yeah by the way she's losing the title, let's make it obvious." but the girls did the best with what they could. ***1/4"
[7.0] "Weird pause after the first fall aside, this was great. Fun spots, Mickie being a biased bitch of an enforcer was great, and the winner was a surprise but not an unwelcome one. I know some people will be down on Tasha not retaining but her reign was pretty mediocre and ending it was likely the right call. Maybe I would've gone Yim, but Slamovich eventually going over Grace in a banger is probably the best call long-term so I get it. Yim was the MVP but special shoutout to Purrazzo and Green for that big ass drop off the ladder. Great stuff."
[7.0] "First part was awkward with the strange lull after the first fall - maybe they were trying to sell that the King of the Mountain rules are really weird - but the rest was fire. Deonna and Chelsea dying to tables is obviously a fun spot, and Mia Yim is the natural star of the match. Good to see Jordynne getting her due after two years without the title."
[6.0] "King of the Mountain stipulation (well, Queen of the Mountain in this case) is definitely not for everyone, I personally enjoy such matches because it's pretty creative (although it depends on the action here). All respect to the women here, but the match wasn't anything spectacular though. Agreed that Mia was the star of the match. ***1/4"
[8.0] "Jordynne Grace may have won the title, but for me, the MVP of this match was Mia Yim for producing two callbacks, the first being the run up the ladder to emulate her fierce IRL rival Shelton Benjamin, the second being a reference to her big ladder bump on NXT when Kay Lee Ray pushed her off the ladder through tables, this time she exacted the move for the spot of the match, with both Chelsea Green and Deonna Purrazzo plunging to their doom. King/Queen of the Mountain is always a bit silly, infamously producing several pages of rules that were often mocked, but this was a well executed rendition of the match."
