[4.0] "A poor man's Bray Wyatt vs John Cena, a very poor one. Horrible feud with a bad character and a bad match. It sucks cause Bron is a good wrestler and good character when done well, but man it has been a bad start for him"

[4.0] "It is a rough two bad feuds in a row for Breakker, the DZ one and then this, clearly giving him the worst one of each big event is a not a great fit as a popular champion like he seems to be. Very lackluster action with some few good moment."

[4.0] "Joe Gacy has had maybe the worst gimmick of any NXT wrestler since the days of Hacker Sami Callahan and his matches have been consistently poor. This one was not fitting of a PPV main event on any show, but it went on last. Breakker has flourished since it at least."

[8.0] "I think this match is massively underrated. This match had a lot of fantastic storytelling and psychology and even some big spots that NXT main events were built on. Gacy really worked his ass off here doing some really sick moves and playing mind games to try and bait Bron into getting himself disqualified and Bron played into it well with a few moments where it was entirely possible he was going to snap. Gacy doing the Eddie Guerrero chair shot trick spot was super cool and I love how another referee came to the rescue to keep the DQ from happening. I also thought Gacys fall through the table looked amazing. The ending was clean as well with Bron taking out his anger on one of Gacys henchmen instead of him. Just a really well done match and one of the better performances by both guys up to now."

[7.0] "A solid match that had a slow start but had a very hot final few minutes starting with Gacy's tribute spot to Eddie Guerrero, playing possum and acting like he got hit by the steel chair all the way through to the finish. My personal favorite spot was the Spear Gacy took through the announce table, that looked brutal. This could have been better and could have been worse. 3 stars at least."

[7.0] "This was a very good psychological battle for the champion against a dark, weird enigma & it was so better than their previous bout. The stipulation played very well with the flow of the match where there are several instances showing Bron ticking off almost and costing the title. Initially, I feared of the stipulation, but it was a grand success. The druids were another weird inclusion as interferers but didn't take anything away from the match. 3.5 out of 5 stars!"

[7.0] "Much better showing than their previous match. The crowd was pretty into it, a lot of credit for that goes to Gacy, he's the one who really made this match go, digging deep into the bag of heel tricks and also showing a lot of toughness, particularly when the spear sent him through the table, that looked nasty. Good pacing and good psychology throughout. I thought Gacy winning would've been the more interesting result going forward, but Breakker going over still played well."

[5.0] "Kudos to Bron Breakker for getting a glimmer of decency out of Joe Gacey and his stupid spooky gimmick. The booking of Bron lately has been concerning. They are really flirting with killing all of his momentum"
TurboMan wrote on 06.06.2022:
[4.0] "I mean I know it's the WWE style but I couldn't believe just how much offense the heel got and how little Rex did in the match. Extremely slow, babyface was made to look like a fool for most of the match. I think Gacey is a fine enough wrestler but either have a much shorter match or let the babyface get more offense in so it doesn't feel like torment for the viewer to watch. two stars"

[6.0] "The story has remained unsolved, who is under the druids' armbands? What did you want to awaken in Bron Joe Gacy? Why did Bron Breakker overcome all fears and complexes so easily? There are questions, but there is no disclosure. And the fight itself was weak in quality, little action, a lot of slow dominance of the sectarian. All the charm of Joe's image has disappeared and now he is just a beta version of the Wyatt Family. Also, Bron is not happy, he just does what is required, but there are no emotions, as well as the desire to root for him. In general, as for me, this is a failed plot with a weak ending in the face of an average match."

[7.0] "This was a really entertaining main event. They played on the stipulation where if Breakker lost by DQ he lost the NXT Championship, as Gacy on multiple occasions tried to DQ Breakker. I loved Gacy's heel role here, was near perfect. Breakker was great here as well, he is really protected! Kicked out of a low blow, too. Breakker was really good by the way, his moves feel really impactful, and he has one of my favorite Spears to look at. The table bumps were cool, even some minor blood was shed. Pretty solid match, good main event. [*** 3/4]"

[7.0] "They took their time getting going in this match, but when it did it was a banger, making good use of the title changing on a DQ stipulation, and Gacy going all out to make Breakker look better than he is - and he's already very good despite his inexperience."

[6.0] "The previous encounter between these two was an absolute stinker, so I was expecting the worst, but thankfully it was certainly much better this time around, although not a main event calibre match by any stretch of the imagination. They worked a decent pace and told a coherent story with some good spots thrown in, the table spot, for example, was great and one thing I've never criticized Breakker on is his spear, despite his many deficiencies he never fails to make his spear look incredible. Repeating the exact same spot from the previous match not 20 minutes prior, this time with Breakker handing over a weapon to the referee instead of using it, was a strange booking choice."

At first I didn't really care, I'm not buying Joe Gacy as a psycho and I think that his character work is pretty weak but the stipulation of the match added some much needed drama and lifted the performence of both guys. It was a good title defense for Breakker but I hope this is the end of their feud."

[7.0] "Wayyyyy better than their first match at Spring Breakin'. I really thought the DQ stipulation would hurt this match (along with the seeming lack of chemistry they showed in the first match) but they worked well around it to craft a simple but compelling story throughout the match. Also, Gacy bumped his butt off to make Bron look as good as possible. This match was good enough to make it worth it to suffer through the horrible f build that this feud had, but PLEASE let it end here."

[6.0] "This was better than I expected, but I only got invested in the latter half of the match. The first half was very bland, with rest holds galore and very boring action. The last few minutes were awesome though, with some great false finishes for Joe Gacy, as well as surprising table bump that looked great. Bron's spear looked awesome too. Second half would have been at least ***1/4, but the first half drags it down a bit. [***]"
