[8.0] "An entertaining and manic bloodbath that they've since ran back every year and tediously Flanderized into something you can't take seriously. Some of the seeds for that are admittedly already planted here in the form of Jericho, as ever, being too twee and hamming for laughs at points, but it isn't much of a problem in the end. Wild Thing playing through the opening stages of the match was memorable and boosts a walk-and-brawl that was fine and bloody but nothing terribly dynamic; it's when the music has stopped for some time and they're still hammering away on each other at relentless pace that it starts to properly win you over. Absurd but never plain silly from that point, the animosity driving everything. It wisely doesn't just end on some blur of action either but rather with the tension on the babyface side boiling over in a spat that throws their win away while Bryan makes a compelling rally to the end. It's a shame no flaming table spot or anything comes of the awesome image of zombie Eddie with the gasoline, though. Still, kind of lightning-in-a-bottle stuff in terms of achieving what this match promised in quite strong fashion. [****1/4]"

[5.0] "It was just a regular fight with minimal wrestling. There weren't even any funny moments, although the type of match probably didn't fit the bill. The action in the ring wasn't any better when Jake Hager was present. The ending was strange, as Aubrey seemed to make the decision while Danielson was still conscious. The fight between Kingston and Danielson looked strange to me too, Eddie went crazy and brought a canister, Bryan didn't like it, so he didn't think much and started beating his own people. Lol. **1/2"

[10.0] "If you go into any dictionary in the world and search for "anarchy, " you'll find a image of the matchcard from that match. Truly amazing experience to watch that everytime I give to this a try. It's somehow always a surprise and always entertaining, twenty minutes that you don't see passing on your screen, and it was not necessary a Ospreay or Omega or any GOAT from our generation to make that happen. Just 10 stiff wrestlers that coincidentally are good at throwing punches, even the bad fighter Jake Hager, after all he's still a fighter in the end of the day, and wondrously an essential key for that match happen and be incredible. I know that this is exactly the type of match that people have mixed feelings with, some treat this as the most beautiful masterpiece AEW ever produced, some treat this as a pure bullshit and blame his own eyes for watching this, I get it, that type of match is not for everyone, and that's the most beautiful thing about, because this can be not your stuff, and it'll not be my problem, because this is for me. One of the best matches that AEW ever did and probably the most creative and unique one ever, praised also for being the last time Chris Jericho did something great in his career. There's no more words to describe the good experience of seeing Eddie fully covered in blood, mustard and ketchup walking into the ring with the intention of KILLING Jericho, brawling with his own partner and forever enemy Bryan during that process. This is a FUCKING five stars match for me and for sure it's the best match of a lot of those wrestlers' careers, except Bryan Danielson and maybe Moxley."

Also, that shot was Eddie walking towards the ring like a zombie was insane and a shocking visual on what he was about to do to Jericho. Also Eddie attacking Bryan was so fucking stupid. That why I hate Eddie sometimes, he does stupid things cause of his personal beef with people. I still like the chaos that was mostly focused on"

All of the various pairings work and make sense as everyone has an issue with each other, and the match itself serves to create, further or blow off these various different feuds while allowing you to revel in the glorious violence on display. The image of Kingston covered in blood carrying a gas can is one of the greatest in all of pro wrestling."

Although this is not my favorite style, it's impossible to deny that they accomplished the goal and fully respected the stipulation, it was truly an anarchy. The beginning with Moxley's theme playing non-stop was sensational, and we had action all the time and several spots, but in my opinion too many things were missed here, the match gave us crazy action the whole time but not really those moments where we pop really hard, the best part was Eddie Kingston coming to the ring with a gas can, the guy was looking scary as hell. The final moments saw a nearfall for each team and a quick ending - {****}"

[10.0] "[4.75*] Fucking phenomenal match, one of the best in AEW history. This is the match that got the most out of the gimmick name EVER. It was literally an Anarchy In The Arena, something I have never seen before. The unique touch of Wild Thing playing until Jericho turned it off was incredible, when it started playing for the third straight time the crowd popped so much I busted myself laughing. Incomparable vibes on this one, a true Pop Machine match. Santana and Ortiz carried the table bumps in some insane spots, Bryan with the Street Fight look doing some crazy brawling, Mox and Jericho fighting and Mox using a fucking camera machine as a weapon, the classic Eddie walk looking like a zombie covered in blood and mustard this match was just IT, man. 20 minutes of pure dirty brawling, very entertaining from start to finish and with a brutal ending stretch, with Bryan and Eddie losing the match for their team as they fought each-other and JAS used it as their advantage by throwing Mox on the Barbed Wire Table, taking out Eddie and put Bryan to sleep with a double submission with a belt after hitting his leg with a baseball bat. This is the coolest JAS has ever looked and it was just insane. I fucking love this match, bro. Literally a wild thing."

[8.0] "This was a hell of a brawl. I usually hate walk-and-brawl matches but since there were 10 guys here that meant something was always happening and I never felt bored. The music still playing when the match started gave the whole thing a chaotic feel. Matt Menard and others bleeding everywhere was a fantastic visual. The concession spots were really fun. Kingston was an absolute riot here. The MVP of the whole thing was probably Bryan Danielson (no surprise there) because his final stand against Jericho and Hager was AWESOME. Kingston walking to ring soaked in blood trying to light people on fire might be the best visual of the year, I'm not sure. I can't agree with the 5 star rating because there wasn't enough wrasslin' here for such high praise, but this was a brawl that will be remembered. ****1/4"

Anyone saying this was carried by Eddie or Bryan was not paying attention to how much greatness was happening all at once. To top it off, the finish is incredibly well-booked and only ages like wine. Even though the sequels are great fun, they'll never recapture the magic from this match."

Never like food being involved in a match so points are lost for the mustard and ketchup spot, the gasoline spot was totally ridiculous Dungeon of Doom level BS and I couldn't figure out why Jericho and Hager would spend so much time working over Danielson at the end when Kingston was out cold on the apron beside them. Why not just pin him? That sums this match up, entertaining in parts but didn't really make sense and too many things took me out of it. The anarchy in the arena match at Wembley was much better, though not without its problems either (Penta)."

I love a good chaotic multi-men brawl with no rules but I think this one is very overrated. It's not bad, it's overrated. It's a great match but not as good as people say. The final part in the ring was awesome, best part of the match. Also Eddie Kingston coming out bloodied with gasoline in his hands was a fantastic moment. My biggest issue with this match is the song "Wild Things", that played for most of the first part of the match and it was distracting and horrible even if I love that song. 8/10 - 4*/5*"

You could feel the hatred that Santana, Ortiz, and King had for the JAS for their betrayal, you had Mox there to help his friend Eddie, and Bryan was there simply because he had Moxs back and just wanted to fight. Wild spots, blood, and that visual of a bloody Eddie Kingston walking back to the ring with a container of gas ready to commit literal murder is an incredibly awesome moment that unfortunately was what led to his teams downfall since he and Bryan couldn't co-exist due to prior animosity. This match fucking rules and if youre looking for a mindless brawl between 2 teams who absolutely LOATH each other, this is for you. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars and more."

[9.0] "Pretty much bell to bell madness and I loved it. The first 15 or so minutes is literally just people brawling in the crowd and backstage while Moxley's theme song plays with the occasional table spot, but the match really picks up when Eddie Kingston comes back out after brawling with Daniel Garcia backstage, covered in blood and holding a gas can looking to set Chris Jericho on FIRE in what is probably one of the best visuals in a wrestling match ever. The rest of the match takes place in the ring, with some actually great near falls, until the match ends when Moxley is sent through barbed wire on the outside of the ring, allowing Hager and Jericho to beat down Danielson, eventually choking him out with the ring rope. Such an incredibly bonkers match that, while not perfect imo, is probably one of entertaining matches out there. ****3/4"

[9.0] ""Wtf did I just watch? ! ...but it was good" This would be enough to describe my thoughts after watching this match, but I think I should say something else. This match was PURE CHAOS, it literally never had a moment of pause and I just can't imagine something that hasn't happened here: piledrivers, ladder spots, barbed wire, fire estinguishers, the ring broken in half (more or less), blood (lots of blood, actually), gasoline, mayonnaise and so much more. But besides being PURE CHAOS, it also was pure entertainment. I honestly never felt bored or uninterested, because of all the stuff that was happening. I've had so much fun watching this crazy war, and I think that was the objective of the match, entertain with some good chaotic chaos. Therefore I'm fully satisfied. Only one question: why did they keep playing Jon Moxley's Wild Thing in the first part? Who knows"

The fundamental flaw of most matches with 6+ participants is the eventual loss of structural integrity and disjointed & choppy action. That was not the case here, as things gelled reasonably well, and I was able to keep track of key plot points without too much difficulty. I thought Jericho was the undisputed star here with his heel charisma, but everyone was on point. Great storytelling coupled with the violent, chaotic brawling and big bumps. ***3/4"

I decided to rewatch it today before leaving an unfair rating, but man, I still feel the same. I'm sure audience inside the stadium had a blast, but this kind of massive brawl just aren't enjoyable viewing experiences on broadcast, I had no idea what was going on with the frequent camera switches (which missed lots of stuffs as well). The way they lumped every single element of hardcore wrestling inside this match, it just felt so forced and rushed, unorganized spots one after the other, just made me felt like nothing made sense. My only problem is - this match was the middle of the story and not the end. I thought the match was building to Eddie fighting his way from backstage to come confront Jericho... but we never got to that moment. Also, PNP, Garcia, and 2.0 sort of just disappeared before the finish and a lot of the finishing stretch with Bryan vs Hager & Jericho felt weird coz it went on too long and they didn't do a good enough job eliminating everyone.
