[5.0] "This is post coconut shot and Snuka wants revenge. Total brawl and the crowd loves seeing Piper get his ass kicked but somehow Piper outmaneuvers Snuka and wins by a count out to survive. Snuka's not done with him yet!"
[7.0] "The feud between these two is in full swing. the match was played in a rather aggressive active manner from the start, the crowd was ecstatic. Snuka even used Roddy's finisher against him, after which the brawl moved outside the ring and Piper's head started to bleed. Roddy managed to catch Jimmy and counterattack by throwing him outside the ring. Roddy's character was very protected at the time and to support the image of the hated heel and to protect him from clean defeats, most of his matches ended by disqualification or, as in this case, by count out. This meant the feud wasn't over and Jimmy was hungry for revenge further down the line."
[7.0] "I thought that was a pretty good match. The storytelling of Piper resulting to either dirty tactics or running away was solid. Piper overselling Snuka's moves was pretty funny, although I'm sure it wasn't intended to be taken as such. There were a couple botches that were recovered really well also. 7/10"
[7.0] "It? s really ominous that Snuka had a cold death stare on him. He stared daggers at Piper during the ring introductions. Piper eggs Snuka on the apron and milks the heat that the MSG crowd is giving him. Piper walks down the aisle and returns because of the strict sanctions that occur by walking out. The match really begins when Piper screams and runs at Snuka, who is ready and strikes the sternum. Piper continues with the punches, then a headbutt which is obviously unsuccessful but a classic eye poke does the trick. The crowd does nuts for Snuka? s chops to the throat which serve as a good precursor to the sleeper hold that follows. They transition to the outside where Piper gets bloody via the ring post. Piper sells being groggy and tries to get DQ? d but Snuka stops him in his tracks. Snuka hits some bad punches to the forehead but nails a wicked diving headbutt. Piper is able to reverse the cross body to drop him on the ropes to draw the count out win. Piper attacks and turns into an animal with the chair. His screams are super effective to make him come across as a maniac. Great angle. The match was short but I thought it was pretty good as well. The matches between these two are virtually never talked about but this was worth talking about. ***1/2"
