Masahiro Chono vs. Yoji Anjo

[7.0] "Even while this hardly pretends to be a shoot style match, I can't lie and say this didn't rule because god damn this ruled. Anjo jumps Chono before the match with a head kick which is UNHEARD OF in this great sport and he mimics his own 10 count that the crowd count along for which is funny as hell. Chono is pissed and lunges straight at Anjo to start the match and the atmosphere is just awesome. Chono gets kicked to the floor early and starts flipping tables, it's really not in the vain of UWFI at all as they're doing very pro-wrestling lockups, forearm strikes and Anjo starts stomping on Chono's foot at one point. They even do a goofy test of strength challenge that neither man bites on and both of them land low blows, it's a total mess of a match but it's just a ton of fun and Anjo even scores what I'd consider an upset with a figure four only for Tenzan to run in post-match and start booting Anjo while still tied up. Shades of Anjo/Tenryu with this one but the little shit gets the win in the end, incredibly fun and an all-time performance from Anjo especially."

[8.0] "Maybe not a great match strictly in terms of in-ring work but the UPWI vs NJPW angle is cool and the crowd was hot. That's not to say there's any deficiency of in-ring ability but the match is pretty simple and brief. The atmosphere and the personas are what shine here."

[6.0] "This was somewhat good. Anjo kicked Chono in the head before the match started and Chono was rightfully pissed. The bout lasted only like eight minutes and the action was fine. Anjo won with a leglock."
