2 | 18.02.2025 | FelipeTalksGraps | 9.0 | [4.25*] Man, this match was just phenomenal. It looked like a Bloodsport Match, but with more different attributes on the game, being more complete. It had some great MMA influences, specially on the mat-wrestling, the work on the ground was wonderful. It had also the right dose of brutality, with all the blood and stiff attacks by both men. I loved both parts of the match, without a single boring second on it: The interactions on the ringside were also very good, specially the suplex on the concrete. The ending stretch was very dramatic with some fucking cool nearfalls and a holy shit moment when Lawlor kicked out of the Death Rider. This is the DEFY 2nd highest rated matched ever here (1st from Dave) and it absolutely deserves it. Impressive indy bloody fight, combining a great technical wrestling with a beautiful pure violence. |

10 | 08.04.2024 | Horatio | 9.0 | A 5-star match that maybe doesn't deliver everything you want to see in a MOTY (which I give to Liv/Bayzler), but delivers something differently entirely base'd on the characters involve'd. These two are both charismatic and even kind of resemble eachother, but their differences are even greater. Moxley wants to work smaller venues, but Lawlor wants to wear spandex-denim in smaller venues. The blood spills but it's not too much, just enough to make this a 5-star rarity--the blood actual matters in this. You don't have to like either of these two guys to appreciate what kind of fight happen'd this night in Defy. Lawlor's the better, more well-round'd wrestler, but was he prepare'd for the counters and reversals that Moxley had up his sleeve? The story isn't really there the whole time, but it matters by the time it's done. Unbelievable. |

It was a literal bloodbath, These two went to war, and had the crowd on the edge of their seats. They had that place in the palm of their hands, and this match earned DEFY a healthy amount of exposure. If you haven't seen it, seek it out. |

33 | 28.08.2022 | doesntmatter | 8.0 | Nasty, nasty stuff here. Big strikes the entire match, exactly what you would expect from these two. Watching the blood fly from their faces after exchanging strikes was gnarly. Lawlor bled like crazy in this one and showed up huge. Moxley continues to deliver big matches in 2022 and tells yet another great story in this one too. |

42 | 09.07.2022 | arrancar | 7.0 | A match between two guys with similarly grimy and aggressive styles and characters. As a result, Lawlor was the appropriate opponent to force Moxley into a big fight and push him close to his limit. Their grappling exchanges, tests of strength/endurance, and strike trades were all decent. The 50/50 structure of all their early interactions was quite bland, but I liked how they always maintained a good sene of real-fight grittiness behind all of them, making for an engaging story as Moxley struggled to survive Lawlor's striking and grappling mastery. Lawlor always looked good with how comfortable he was in control, and Moxley showed good energy in his fire-ups and comebacks. Their exchanges and spots became a bit more creative and much harder-hitting in the 2nd half, with both men showing a lot more heart and determination to put each other away. Their excessive bleeding made for a cool visual as they went back and forth with their strikes and submissions, reflecting just how far both had to take each other in pursuit of the win. There still weren't as many explosive or intense interactions as I was hoping for, but they at least had a decent number of them to ensure that the match became quite exciting. ***1/4 |
43 | 03.07.2022 | Dragon Fighter | 9.0 | An excellent match overall. This felt like a true battle. Both men worked so hard and gave everything they did into this match. This was dramatic, energetic and got great reaction from the fans. Mox was clearly loved here and Lawlor did pretty great job as well. The blading was pretty overused for Mox's matches but it was still effective enough to make me invest in this match. |
44 | 02.07.2022 | Mizzle Assault Ant | 10.0 | A bloody, gritty fight that was right up my alley, I love to see Moxley going out and having these kinds of battles with awesome talents like Lawlor. |
45 | 27.06.2022 | BH62 | 9.0 | A slap in the face as this bout was completely that. Lawlor tried to outcome Mox with his MMA background as the later showed superb resilence to submissions and tried to go on as well. As for Mox, he was here to show the real definition of filthy. He fucked up Lawlor in pieces, on and outside the ring. Blood added something as well as the crowd energy. They were so red hot for this fucking brawl. A street fight for sure. It maybe went down a bit at some moments, but the final minutes were completly breathless. BANGER. |

51 | 01.06.2022 | Augustus Sawyer | 9.0 | This match is my match of the year as of 5/22/22. The combination of the venue ambience, the lighting, the videography and the match itself makes for an almost perfect presentation. Being a big fan of the brawling, violent style of pro wrestling, Moxley and Lawlor are two of my favorites and two guys I? ve been wanting to see mix it up for a while. I? m unable to rate any matches on here yet, but I would give this a 9.5. |

Mox shows that this is his year, he is still a candidate for the title of wrestler of the year for me and I am very impressed with his work. In NJPW, Tom Lawlor does not please me so much, but here he just shone with new colors, it was clear from him how he gets high from such a battle. Thank you to the fans for such an active and kind reception of guests! |

86 | 06.05.2022 | boisecombatclub | 10.0 | Absolutely excellent. Two big personalities and a red-hot crowd tilted firmly in favor of Moxley. Both guys bleed and exchange heavy blows and have just a great violent fight against each other. In particular they have fantastic instincts for when each man should be on offense, managing the crowd perfectly so that all of Moxley's moves get massive pops without diminishing returns. |

93 | 06.05.2022 | Pertinax | 9.0 | A really good technical bloody brawl. I almost feel like this is what Moxley vs Danielson at AEW Revolution should have been. As good as that match was, this one told the same story but much better - and a finish that didn't flatten everything they spent the last 20 minutes building up. Perhaps Tom should ditch Team Filthy and come on over to the BCC now that he has bled with Mox? |

95 | 06.05.2022 | NoSell | 9.0 | Awesome display of violence from Mox and Lawlor. Blood really added to it, when they slapped each other you saw it splatter it was a super visual. Great striking and great grappling. I think they missed the peak by like 1-2 minutes but thats a minor nitpick. ****1/4 |
96 | 05.05.2022 | TheLegitBoss | 10.0 | Absolute masterclass of a match between Jon Moxley and Tom Lawlor which was a true showcase of violence between two guys who master this type of shoot fight perfectly, it was everything I expected from a match between these two incredible performers who completely lived up to my expectations. It had everything I was looking for with intensity, blood, a great atmosphere and a phenomenal sense of urgency. If you like big fights of this style where everything feels more like a war than a professional wrestling match, this match is definitely one to see and also to add to Moxley's catalogue of outstanding matches this year. |
97 | 05.05.2022 | TwentyTwoBuckaroo89 | 9.0 | An awesome and bloody fight with some great strikes and gross visuals throughout the whole match. Lawlor put out a great performance in this, maybe his career best so far. Moxley brought his usual fire to the match with his always fun brawling that he's perfected at this stage in his career. Overall, a great watch is you enjoy violent and hard-hitting wrestling. - [****3/4] |
98 | 05.05.2022 | mattiafico | 9.0 | Great match, hard striking, similar to Moxley vs Wheeler Yuta, it would be great to see Lawlor in the BCC |
