Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe

[6.0] "This wasn't a bad match, but it was very much these two going through the motions; unsurprisingly, as it was a throwaway match in a tournament rather than part of a feud, though both men were also a long way off from the great matches they were having six years prior."

[9.0] "A really great match between both men as always with really great in ring action and chemistry between them and great technical and submissive wizardry too."

[8.0] "angle and joe are perfect with each other with supposed classics there match at turning point 2006 and lockdown 2008 and I can see they are seen as amazing superb chemistry this match is probably not as good as them it's still great nontheless though joe was a lot more heavier in this then he is at others so that was a problem still didn't stop it from getting 4 stars by me"

[8.0] "Damn good effort by Joe and Angle right here in a simply excellent match, not on the same level as their awesome battles from a few years earlier but the comparison is irrelevant, the match as it is is simply very good and I was perfectly satisfied by what I saw from these two incredible performers who have always had a special connection together. It was hard-hitting, rich in quality and Angle getting out of the Coquina Clutch with an Angle Slam was a crazy moment."

[8.0] "Another classic from these two; has plenty of what you love about them- mat wrestling, reversals, great looking suplexes, and Joe does a leg off the top that looks fantastic. Kind of a flat finish though."

[8.0] "Great technical match here, as both men show great reversals as they constantly attempt to apply submissions on one another."

[7.0] "This was good stuff but never reached peaks you thought it might and felt a bit throw away considering the rivalry these two had over the years in TNA."

[7.0] "Another in the long line of great Joe and Angle matches. Both men fighting to apply their submissions throughout the entire match was a great story."

[8.0] "This was a good match that would have been even better if the commentators put over the rules a little more. I wasn't watching TNA at the time, so forgive me if I have this wrong, but I believe the Bound for Glory Series matches all had 15 minute time limits, and rewarded the victor more points for submissions, right? Well this match almost goes 15 minutes, yet the announcers make no mention of the time limit approaching. I think it would have made the finish a lot more exciting if they focused on the time limit and whether or not Angle could survive being in the Choke for 25 more seconds. It could have made for a heartbreaking ending where Angle tries to make it to the time limit, but falls a few seconds short. Also, it was clear that both guys were going for a submission victory, which makes sense given the stipulation of the BFG Series where submissions are worth more points, but once again the commentators never made mention of it."

[5.0] "This was a solid effort from Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe. Didn't come close to the greatness of their 2006 matches, but it was still a pretty good match. Not bad. **1/2"

[8.0] "Kurt Angle is currently in 4th Place with 20 Points while Samoa Joe is 2nd with 27 Points. While this was not the best match these two have ever had, it was still pretty good... especially when one considers the match's position on the card. Very good match. Joe gets a Submission Victory, thus earning 10 Points."

[7.0] "Another great match. Only, I expected more quality for Joe. However, Joe beat Angle in a PPV."
