[8.0] "This was a fun match with the potential to be even better, but the interference from Big Boss Man at the end ended up hurting it. Still, it's a very enjoyable bout between two of the best wrestlers of the '90s. 7.50/10 [***3/4]."

[8.0] "This is a *very* fun match considering it was weekly WWF TV in 1991, where "work rate" wasn't something that was prioritized. Shawn does an absolutely INSANE (by 1991 standards) leap to the outside onto Perfect that shocked the hell out of me. Perfect does an excellent job of selling Shawn's fired-up offense (would you expect anything less? ), and made Shawn look like a powerful force in an era where he was portrayed as an undersized tag team specialist. Also made me smile to see how similar both men's selling is (again, in an era where you didn't see that too often). One of the first major glimpses of Shawn's future singles greatness, and it's a shame we never got a proper feud and PPV match between these two men."

[9.0] "Tremendously fun, and clearly underrated in my book. Michaels does a dive to the floor early on that will make your jaw drop, and of course Perfect's bumping is to die for. Jannetty, Bossman, and the great Bobby Heenan also add their two cents, but it just adds to the excitement rather than muddling it up. There's tons of great action here, this stands easily as one of the best WWF matches of the period."

[7.0] "17/03/91 Prime Time Wrestling WWF. Big Boss Man couldn't keep his big meat head out of it, and let Curt win clean. This may have been just a warm up match with Wrestlemania looming, but they brought mountains of charisma, psychology, ring work, selling and the chemistry they had together was fantastic. They had a bump off and looked like they had a fun time doing it. Mr. Perfect edges the bump off with those two leg sweeps from Michales that nearly sent Curt into the abyss. Fun time match 7*"

Shame it didn't get a bit longer and had the DQ finish otherwise this could have been awesome. Shawn's dive to the outside was amazing, particularly for the time, and Perfect's selling was brilliant as always. The crowd were insanely into this one. ***1/2"

[8.0] "Pretty great match that was on the verge to the next level until the DQ finish. Shawn wasn't on the level he would reach years later yet, but he was still a tremendous talent. Perfect, as usual, never ceases to amaze me. The big spot here was the huge dive from Shawn at the start, in which some of the inmates mentioned already. [***3/4]"

[7.0] "Really fun TV match that, however, was NOT for the IC title (at least nothing was announced). Perfect started off running from Michaels, who kept chasing him and even pulled off a crazy dive to the outside. What came afterwards was great back and forth action between two of the most exciting wrestlers in the company at the time. The non-finish at the end was used as a final selling point for WrestleMania, which was understandable. Very exciting TV matchup. [***1/2]"

[6.0] "This one sees a "Rocker" Michaels up against the then Intercontinental Champion: Mr. Perfect. The lion's share of the offense goes to Perfect, who picks an underdog Michaels' apart for the first half before beating him from pillar to post near the tail end. Perfect doesn't disappoint with the heel-work either, taking a few opportunities throughout the match (ridiculing Michaels' gear, slapping a ringside Jannetty etc. ) to simmer the crowd. The two begin bare-knuckle boxing each other at one point before the brawl escapes to the outside. There's a great offensive "shine" sequence from Michaels' at the close of the match that pops the crowd, but it only gets a two. Perfect hits the Perfect Plex and Boss Man comes in to break it up, chasing him out of the arena . A decent little TV match. ***"
