Rumble Match 2022

[2.0] "This match was horrible for the first 20+ minutes (and just below average after that). It took forever for eliminations to start, most entrants were not even in the ring. The eliminations until the final few had only a few women in the ring at a time, so not a well booked battle royal. The only thing that makes this from 1/10 to 2/10 were the last few minutes and eliminations."

[3.0] "This was quite a mess, not a fan of the vast majority of battle royals. I understand wanting to get everyone on the big show though"

[6.0] "The second annual Stardom Rumble was a whole lot better then the first one, it kept the fun of the inaugural but the actual wrestling was way better. Probably helped by the fact everyone in the ring were actually active wrestlers and that they relied less on comedy schtick, and the bit they did rely on was genuinely funny. I found myself chuckling along at some bits in this. It wasn't by any means a workrate masterpiece but with how much fun I had with this, I'm giving it a 6 just cuz I was here for the ride."

[6.0] "This was good considering the inexperience of practically everyone involved. Lady C did a really good swing for once and Miyu looked a lot more confident. Also Mei won it which is awesome!"

[4.0] "By the time Mizumori entered with her inflated pineapple float I was begging for this to end. There's comedy & then there's wacky-just-to-be-wacky. If I'm watching Gatoh, that's one-thing, but on a show with a long card I didn't need over 25 minutes of this insignificance. But I guess more Mai in Stardom isn't a bad thing. 2"

[5.0] "Fun but a cluster. They said there would be more entrants...that turned out to be Rina. So sitting their waiting for a surprise only to be let down. Some fun stuff happened but ultimately a let down."

[4.0] "This just wasn't a good match. I get you want it to have comedy and stuff...but it felt like the wrestling aspect completely faded away for how clusterfuck it was until the final four. The wrestling is fine, but it just didn't make sense...confusing as hell. [**]"

[6.0] "Firstly I was once again disappointed with absence of surprises, last years's Cinderella Rumble was far more interesting. But action in this one was actually pretty good, maybe even great for the japanese Rumbles, which are mostly terrible. Happy to see some of my favourite girls from JTO and Marvelous. Mei Suruga is the star and my personal highlight of both nights (I'm not even joking)"

[4.0] "This was a bad match for the most part, but there was some good comedy and occasionally some good sequences. Mei winning was absolutely the correct decision, as she was the best wrestler involved, and it leads to a title match. *3/4 or **"

[6.0] "It's the Rumble so it's basically comedy with some good wrestling and feud building / furthering in between. Mei winning was the right call and I can't wait for her high speed title match vs AZM. I had fun for the most part"

[6.0] "Much to my surprise, I really liked this year's rumble match. Where as the Rumble from last year was pretty bad, this one was pretty fun and ten minutes shorter. It got dramatic down the stretch, had some surprising results and the end result was amazing. Mei won a match in a Stardom PPV, which is awesome."
