MIRAI vs. Utami Hayashishita

[6.0] "I think they pretty much just put this match on the card as a filler, it feels like both kinda only go through the motions, especially Utami sadly (my heart broke), they pretty much just did the bare minimum in order to please the crowd. The action they showed was nice but it felt a bit lifeless. I'm suprised that MIRAI didn't pick up the win, I expected them to set her up for another title match, but hey I won't complain about Utami winning either"

[8.0] "I really enjoyed this, I thought they went out there and had a good mat based technical match, I would've preferred more bombs but this still had my interest."

[7.0] "A good demonstration of technical skill from both of them, mixed with a few good counters and impact moves. The end was good, cuz it kept Mirai strong given how long she was locked in that sleeper hold trying to get out. Both had good showings here."

[8.0] "I really enjoyed the more grounded style of this one. It wasn't flashy or complicated, but what was there was very well executed."

[9.0] "I've got an affinity for 10-15 minute matches that feature grappling and a few high impact moves and this really hit that sweet spot. This felt like a struggle between two wrestlers and it really drew me in."

[4.0] "Okay, this match was nothing as I expected. Utami is a big match player, and usually she can't find something in matches with the less experienced wrestlers like Mirai. And Mirai. I've seen only one her great perfomance in DDT (Kawasaki Strong), but in Stardom she's just terrible. And in this match nothing could save her from the failure, even opponent."

[5.0] "This was a fine way to give Utami a rub after her big-stage loss to Saya the previous night. The match was gritty & by making it ground-based, seemingly to MIRAI's advantage, Utami emerging victorious gives her some solemn credibility. I particularly appreciated Utami's inability to bridge after a Germany due to all-the-work M had done to U's neck. M still needs to improve on comprehending that pro-wrestling is an entertainment. Her manner too-often feels like pre-Total Eclipse Jake Lee accepting an audience's plaudits after doing practically nothing during a match. She obviously did more-than-nothing here, in a singles match, but as others have alluded-to, there was little emotion in play. 2 2/3"

[6.0] "Decent match. It started slow as if it would have gone close to 20 mins which was weird but I always liked seeing the slow, methodical Utami. These two have similar build and they are both power wrestlers with similar movesets. In the end, experience played a factor and the more experienced wrestler won. The match was short with a slow start and they kind of rushed the finish. These two cam certainly have a better match. ***1/4"

[7.0] "Yo Utami, this match is 11 minutes... we don't need you to do your epic match moves for the first 3 minutes of the match. It ain't going 30. MIRAI once again looking real solid, and her shoving away Mai after the match makes me think she isn't long for DDM. ***1/2"

[7.0] "Utami's neck is still wounded from her title match the previous night so MIRAI zones in on the injury. MIRAI pulling out a Yurikamome shows how deep her grappling arsenal is. Utami's neck didn't allow her to bridge her German suplex so she had to dig in her drawer for another finish. Great back and forth struggle between two power fighters with judo backgrounds. ***1/2"

[3.0] "This match is completely devoid of life and there is no point in it. No outstanding storytelling, no attempts to sell motivation. They fought and ran away. Mirai continues to be the most disappointing performer of the promotion (*1/2)."

[6.0] "Solid match with expected result. Preferred Iida vs MIRAI a lot more though. Still decent stuff here."

[7.0] "This is where the show picked up. I liked how both superstars looked, and the submission aspect was really good. MIRAI is a solid wrestler and Utami is just Utami. Really fun match, good watch. [*** 1/2]"

[6.0] "This wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be, as they only went 10 minutes and made it more of about Utami dominating a less experienced opponent. There was still some really good grappling here, but not too much else. ***"

[7.0] "This match was pretty good even though it felt like they were holding back a little. MIRAI is awesome and a future champion. Don't know what Utami's direction is after this but we shall find out in the coming weeks. ***1/4"

[5.0] "Both girls had better matches yesterday. In this bout they didn't really showed much and it lasted a bit longer, than it maybe should have. 8 hours of wrestling in two days doesn't help matches like this to flash out. **1/2"

[7.0] "A good match that got okay time, wasn't too long like a lot of Mirai's matches in Stardom, and had the expected result."

[6.0] "Didn't expect much from this match, since it was just the third match on the card, but it still rocked. I'm pretty sure they can deliver a better performance with the right time and build. MIRAI and Utami Hayashishita trying to murder each other with their insane throws/slams and strikes was dope, and Utami making MIRAI tap out to the Sleeper Hold was the best way to finish this match. ***1/2"
