[7.0] "Since Makabe was the champion during that time, the match consisted of Makabe attacking throughout and Tanahashi countering. Makabe's attacks, such as the Prison Lock, were surprisingly good."
[8.0] "The only other match besides the main event that I would consider great on this card. Tanashi gave a great performance here, and Makabe was able to match him quite well. I enjoyed Makabe working the legs of Tanashi. Tanahashi manages to get the win and then Masato Tanaka comes out to beat the shit out of Makabe."
[7.0] "Another good tournament match that served its purpose. Makabe put Tanahashi in a lot of trouble by working over his legs with different submission holds, but Tanahashi found a way to pin Makabe's shoulders to the canvas for the 3-count. And then Masato Tanaka decided to beat the shit out of Makabe too, which led to a title match a month later."
