523.09.2024TokyoHeights7.0Eddie Guerrero as a newly established vicious heel takes on his former best friend trying to beat some sense into him. Eddie starts off the match with a low blow trying to finish the match as soon as possible before shifting his strategy to leg work, trying to ground Benoit. Some great struggle in this section as Benoit displays his technical ability with preceding his escape attempts with small details such as moving Eddie's leg into position where Benoit can roll to the ropes. However, i found Benoit's screaming between moves a bit comical. The match kicks up a notch in intensity with the two chopping the shit out of each other and Benoit busting himself hardway with some headbutts. You can feel the struggle here with Benoit giving it his all with the diving headbutt and crossface and Eddie just barely escaping each time. Could've knocked into a higher gear afterwards, but Eddie walks away leaving this to be just a good match between the two. [7.3/10]

720.01.2024Ruthless Attitude8.0Despite the fact this match ends on a count out, I still thought this was still a damn good match to watch and is highly intense. Guerrero is a completely different animal with this particular heel character and the way he focuses much more on leg locks and submission moves made me realise how much I didn't really appreciate how good his mat work really was as he is like a machine going ater Benoit's leg with Benoit really selling it well. I loved how Eddie's major character changed also translated whenever he wrestle as he just feels so unpredictable to watch it's pretty unsettling to watch. Benoit still brings the fight to him and I have to say watching him bust himself open by using his own head as a bartering ram and it is really hard to watch, especially nowadays.
823.08.2023arrancar6.0They've obviously had better, but for the time given (about 14 minutes that made tape) and the story they had to play to, this was quite good. Although it wasn't necessarily the most creative or consistently exciting performance, both guys were still very much on-point with everything they did, showing strong intensity, physicality, and technique the whole way. Eddie kicked the match off by blindsiding Benoit and initiating a nicely aggressive beatdown, with Benoit then incrementally responding with some aggressive and stiff attacks of his own. Even their slower and more technical exchanges were still quite good because of how intensely they both applied their holds and sold for the other's holds, They maybe stayed with those technical trades a slight bit too long, but luckily they followed that up with some good power moves and also a few cool top-rope moves to ensure that the tone and pacing of the match picked up. Big props to Benoit for selling so energetically and emotively after each big spot, really helping to make this feel like a hard-fought fight. Eddie simply walking away from the ring to earn the count-out loss was definitely quite disappointing, but at least Mysterio jump-attacking him on the ramp produced a small bit of excitement to cap it all off. ***1/4
