Del Rio locking Cena out of the cage and then beating Punk with the pipe was great heel work. The aftermath with Miz and Truth felt a bit over the top and then the "whole roster" as well as the "police" trying to get into the cell was hilarious, why it took so long to get someone with bolt cutters is beyond me but the absurdity somehow worked."

Punk really added a fun dynamic, especially by bumping into the cage, which cut up his back a little. Because it was triple threat, it was never really dull on spots. I also really enjoyed the finish with Ricardo, except Cena trying to get in the cage was a bit comical.."

Cannot express how well I thought this match did narratively, with the in-ring (or cell) action, even doing a great job centering Del Rio's role amid a feud between two of the promotion's top stars. Just falls short of an 8 in my own subjective grading scale."

[6.0] "A good match for what it was, with a VERY creative finish, but unfortunately, this match falls into the two most generic cliches of their individual match type. First, the three men almost never interact together. After the starting sequence, it's always just the generic triple threat 'one vs. one' match while someone sells outside. And the Cell is also rarely used in the match besides one or two sports, which is how most modern generic Cell matches are. So you have the worst of both matches, but they manage to do the best they could within those cliches. This bout probably should have been a little better, but it's still enjoyable enough for a re-watch every now and then if you can overcome all the cliches in it."

"Definitely not a bad match, a decent one as the three worked well together, but it had quite a few things I dislike. I wish Punk was a bit more importantly involved in the match, especially if you're gonna make him not win and get pinned by Del Rio(very wrong choice btw). It definitely didn't feel like HELL, which is probably due to WWE making HIAC an annual PPV for some dumb reason, however I liked Cena being locked out of the cell, really cool. Aftermath of the match felt too overbooked, especially since the PPV the month before had a main event full of overbooked ass."

[1.0] "Hot damn what a complete bore this was. Easily one of the most dull Hell In A Cell matches there have been. Most of the match falls into the 3-way trope of 2 guys fighting while 1 rests outside; now that said trope CAN work very well, but here it just annoyed me. Just didn't fit the HIAC gimmick at all or the wrestlers involved. It created for some extremely basic & forgettable exchanges, but then again, even in those rare times when all of them were going at it, it wasn't really interesting. If I had to name the most memorable things about this, I guess I would go for Punk kicking Cena when he went for the You Can't See Me taunt -- always love Punk not letting that happen, and then there was the bit where Del Rio slapped a CHINLOCK on him. Felt pretty baffling to see such thing inside the Cell, but hey, at least it was somewhat memorable in all of its absurdness. Bad match."

[9.0] "The match was pretty good on its own but the post match made it a little better. lots of brawling. all three were going after each other. All three looked good when they were in control. Del Rio hit a back suplex onto Cena through a chair which was cool. Earlier on he pushed Punk into the cell which cut open Punk which was nice as it showed the damage the cell can do to one of them. A spot I liked was when Del Rio was trying to get Cena in a cross armbreaker and Punk broke it up with a rolling senton from the apron. Del Rio really looks dominant throughout the match. after CM punk and John Cena have some back and forth action, CM punk goes to the top rope where Del Rio would push his off and through the table. Del Rio had good strategy where by having Ricardo Rodriguez help him to get John Cena out of the cell which he stays locked out for the rest of the match. Punk and Del Rio fight inside the cage while Cena watches from the side and Del Rio wins after hitting Punk with the steel pipe. The post match is pretty wild as The Miz and R-truth come and attack the match participants and the entire locker room comes out to try to open the cage. Miz and truth get arrested then beaten after by Triple H when they are defenseless. It was all very Chaotic."

John Cena showed very little, and Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk gave all the best wonderfully well. Ricardo Rodriguez's intervention, turned the triple threat in standard one on one with the subsequent fall after blows an iron pipe spoiled a match. My rating: ***3/4."

[8.0] "Once again, if I were to grade this as Hell in a Cell match, this wasn't very good as the cell was barely used and only came into play psychologically with the finish of having Cena locked out. Still though, these three worked their tails off to deliver a quality main event and this wound up being an excellent triple threat match in and of itself with a few nifty spots thrown in. I'll be generous because this was flat out fun while it lasted, and go with ***3/4"
