[4.0] "A match drowning in ideas but without a follow through on any of them. There are a few remarkable spots here, but nothing to tie them together. I'll never understand why spotfest wrestlers add leg work to their matches. It's never sold and never leads to anything. **"
[7.0] "Very good selling and high flying by El Hijo del Vikingo. Flamita gave a solid performance. They did a good job incorporating the spectacular moves into the match without it overtaking the overall in-ring story they were telling."
[7.0] "This match is the perfect example of why I don't like pure spotfests that give superficial attention towards also presenting a limb-based story, since those two concepts are guaranteed to clash and thus both end up underwhelming. The high-flying exchanges between these two were naturally very smooth and spectacular, with both men having perfect chemistry with everything they did. The decision to tell a story of Vikingo having his leg worked over simply didn't work, though. His selling was incredibly inconsistent, since one moment he was hobbling around on it and the next minute he was running around and flipping off of it with apparent ease, only to then suddenly break back into "oh wowwww that's right I'm actually really sore! Ahhh oh boy that hurts, for real! " after his big spectacular spot was over with, and then he'd repeat that formula. Flamita's leg-targeting was initially pretty interesting with the way he utilised his high-flying offence, but then the match moved to pure spotfest mode and he totally abandoned his approach of targeting the leg at all, which was very irrational and clearly just done to allow both men to instead show off all their spots. It never truly felt like Flamita had a real chance to put Vikingo away by going after the leg, and it never felt like Vikingo had to either dig deep or intelligently implement new strategies to overcome the pain and physical limitations of his damaged leg. Why bother telling any story at all with Vikingo's leg if they weren't going to even attempt to flesh it out and instead just resorted to their bread-and-butter mindless spotfest action? It's a good thing these 2 were still so athletic with all those spots, since that meant I could still enjoy this match a good amount, but I also think it was an embarrassing effort to try tell a limb-based story. ***1/4"
[9.0] "An injured Hijo del Vikingo> your favorite wrestler. This match was a proof of what a great pro wrestlers they both are, and all what they can do in just 12 minutes."
[8.0] "Story of this match was all about El Hijo del Vikingo's leg injury and how he fought through it (which made pretty much every high-spot in this match awesome), and Flamita was a great opponent to make this match work."
[7.0] "This is a VERY different match than what you would expect from a Vikingo match. While there were spectacular spots that you were guarenteed to get from Vikingo, it was his selling here that really elevated him from a spectacular high flyer to someone who understands how to build psychology. His career can definitely reach incredible heights if he manages to keep his body together."
[8.0] "Crazy spotfest between Vikingo and Flamita here as expected with these two excellent luchadors who have two complementary characters and who are two tremendous workers who always manage to innovate, Flamita is great in his role and I really liked his heel-work on Vikingo's leg. He's such a natural heel and I really like that demonic gimmick. That said, the real star of this match was the champion and the best talent in this company, El Hijo del Vikingo. This guy is one of a kind, he impresses me every time I see him because he does such crazy things with such ease, I wonder how it's possible to have such athletic abilities. I guess nature has spoiled him and he works hard to always introduce some new things into his arsenal, but I just think he's a gifted athlete. Lots of great sequences between the two with once again a good work from Flamita on his opponent's leg, the result was the right call."
