| 2 | 01.02.2026 | EyeBronze8388 | 8.0 | That was a great match with a lot of violence and both guys were a bloody mess. Triple H put over Batista in a big way to put an end to this rivalry. There was a lot of back and forth in the match in terms of the weapons used like when Hunter introduced the steel chain followed by the barbed wire chair, Batista got his chance to use those as a weapon as well. When Hunter brought the sledgehammer into the match, that escalated the violence further. I thought the match went a few minutes too long. That doesn't mean I was bored by it because it was great to watch. I just think if they shaved off about five minutes of it then it would be an even better match. This was one of Batista's best singles matches ever. No doubt about it. Hunter had better matches. It's also one of the better Hell in a Cell matches ever. |

They beat the tar out of each other and each weapon felt impactful thanks to some amazing selling especially by HHH. The chain was vicious, like when HHH hung Batista from the ropes, then we got the barbered wire chair which was used well and definitely looked painful, the trusty trademark Sledgehammer was used for a superb nearfall and then by Batista for a classic oversell by HHH which I loved. The story had been building to the moment HHH hit the pedigree and it definitely felt like a big deal, so when Batista kicked out of it that made for a classic moment. I like that each only hit 1 finisher and it came in the final minutes instead of a finisher spamfest. The stairs were the final weapon and they made a great sound. I winced when Batista spinebustered HHH onto them, ouch. Post-match selling from Batista looking like he barely survived is much appreciated. Perfect ending to this trilogy. What a war. HHH made Batista look like a million bucks. He sold like a madman for him. Masterclass of a match and one of the best Cell matches. |

It's a typical match in the pop WWE style, but with elements of brutality. There have been better matches under these rules. And I've never understood the hype around Batista. He's not bad, but for me he's just a generic jock with a poppy wrestling style. And if this match is his Magnum Opus, then he's really showing it. |

| 25 | 05.10.2025 | Brye | 10.0 | Kind of funny how both Batista and Cena got their big wins at Wrestlemania but the matches that 'made' them each came a couple months later. This was fantastic and made Batista look like a total monster. Triple H took the beating of the century in the process too. One of those HIAC matches that actually feels like it warranted being in a cell, which has become rarer in the last 15 years. |

| 31 | 26.09.2025 | sdenapoli | 10.0 | An absolute war between these two legends and the perfect way to cap off their feud, as Batista went into Triple H's stipulation, and not only survived, but won. From barbed wire steel chairs, to chains, to steel steps, this match has everything a Hell in a Cell match should. Triple H did more for Batista in this one match than he did for anyone else in any match during his career. |

| 33 | 22.09.2025 | Walker46527 | 3.0 | Well, this was a disappointing match. Batista and Triple H, while having a well-written rivalry, never really seemed to click in the ring, and this bout is no different. The pacing is slow, but instead of feeling like an epic war, it comes off as dull. Neither man nor the match concept is known for a high work rate, but here they barely wrestle, instead plodding around and throwing endless punches to kill time between the "hardcore" sequences. Neither sells the ordeal convincingly. Batista, in particular, puts on a weak performance, often popping back up as if nothing had happened. The spots themselves feel uncreative and melodramatic, and with it being clear from the start that Batista was going home with the belt, there's little drama to hold onto. The finish is also predictable, devolving into a finisher-fest before Batista finally picks up the victory with a Batista Bomb. Another overrated match from this era. (**1/4) |

Both men delivered a violent, intense war that perfectly fit the culmination of their rivalry. The pacing was excellent, with each weapon spot and momentum shift feeling earned rather than forced. The atmosphere was electric, the drama was high, and the finish gave a decisive and satisfying conclusion. One of the best Cell matches of all time. |

On this night, he was every bit the wrestler that so often in this era, he fell a touch short of truly embodying. He is a selfless, versatile force of nature here though, positioning Batista to have not only a career match, but to do as a truly heroic titan. As the babyface, Batista is presented as a triumphant, vengeful warrior, relishing that role with an instinctive, raw performance that captures every strength of his game. He's far from polished at this point, a main event novice in truth, but he feels this deep in his soul, embracing the violence in truly memorable fashion. In the twenty years since this match, so many major outings have chased a "cinematic" conclusion, yet barely a handful have landed like this one. It's a visual that lives long in the memory, the perfect note to conclude a genuine classic that among all-time Cell matches, frankly deserves far more love. ****3/4 |

He always starts slow and usually accelerates near the end or something significant. Batista is honesty not the best in ring wrestler. He nails the look but he lacks a diverse moveset and technique for wrestling, this is why he normally has a lot better gimmick matches than regular ones. Now the liberty and brutality of a hell on the cell allowed them both to set a steady pace with great moments and spots throughout the match. They were able to use their toughness and give a stellar performance. I loved the finish where Triple h was still holding his hammer while batista picked him up for the batista bomb, it kept the unpredictable aspect of the match alive till the end. |

I love the big dudes beating the shit out of each other-style matches, but I will say, this match ran 26 minutes, and I think they could've shaved 7 or so minutes off. Still a good match, one of my favorite Batista matches for sure. |

| 78 | 25.02.2025 | TrailsOfPersona | 7.0 | Batista always seems to rise to the occasion when it comes to Cell matches. He does here and he does against Undertaker in a year or so as well. Triple H really does everything he can to cement Batista with this contest on top of it. This match is magnificent when it comes to the creativity and pacing of the violence involved. The chain, barbed wire chair, and sledgehammer spot to the throat were pretty unique ways to escalate the match. The bout also marches on at a steady pace. Slow enough to allow drama and fit a Hell in a Cell, but fast enough to not drag and get too boring like the Shawn vs. Triple H Cell match. I would have definitely enjoyed some variation to the pace a bit, but you have to respect them finding a tempo and getting it right. The true blow for me is it's about 5 or so minutes too long. You can tell there is a point where they're out of unique things in the match so they go through some standard stuff to pad the length. An absolutely excellent match regardless, but with some of the fat trimmed off and some changes to the pace and storytelling and it could have been a work of art. |

| 80 | 19.02.2025 | RandomWrestlingReview | 7.0 | Maybe this style is simply not for me, it's two big guys hitting big moves but with a minimum of intensity and it's just not to my taste. This was good, just not to the extent that most have rated here. I found JR's commentary to be over dramatic, and the action in the ring trying too hard to get to epic. |
| 81 | 09.02.2025 | V3 | 7.0 | I think this two had a great rivalry, but their matches didn't end to deliver. This is a really fine match, but they were more focus to do all the checks that a good HIAC match should have that actually make an epic battle. However they did a good job making Batista looks like a star, and the final spot with Triple H trying to hit with the sledgehammer but failing for the fatigue is excelent and plays really well with the audience expectations. |

| 84 | 02.02.2025 | Rhasta | 7.0 | Not the best Hell in the Cell match but good enough. At some points it was too slow like the last 5 minutes where they took too long to recover after each spot they took. Barbed wire chair spots were cool enough as well as the final sledgehammer fakeout. |

| 86 | 24.01.2025 | notanothersmark | 10.0 | My favorite Batista match ever, maybe even my favorite Triple H match ever too (it's close between this one, Backlash 2000, and WM 28 vs Taker.) This is how a Hell in a Cell match is supposed to go, the brutality here is something to watch. You feel the intensity right away before the match with Flair embracing HHH, Batista looking shook as he walks down to the ring. You feel it when their faces are grated against the side of the cage, or when they whack each other with the barbed wire weapons. Looked like Batista actually hit HHH with the hammer for real at some points, and HHH did such a great job selling, it's like he's wrestling the whole 2nd half of the match in a daze. Blood in these types of matches always gets extra points for me too. I think the ending here is one of the best in WWE, the pedigree to Batista comes out of nowhere and feels like it's the end, and the touch of Triple H about to swing the sledgehammer as Batista powerbombs him is just perfection. |
