[8.0] "Fantastic showcase for Swerve Strickland here for his debut in the company that signed him only a few weeks earlier, he had received a nice pop at Revolution so we knew he was going to be over with the All Elite Wrestling audience and we got the confirmation in this match. Not a great match by any means but I'm assuming that Swerve couldn't have asked for anything better for his debut, he was able to directly show the full extent of his talent in front of a crowd that was interested to see him there and getting to know him. Seeing him main event an episode of Rampage for his debut is cool, but let's also give credit to Tony Nese. Nese is so underrated, he's a fantastic worker who always delivers when put in that kind of spot and he was perfect as Strickland's first opponent. Both were able to shine, gave us some quality sequences and some really nice moves. The crowd was into it and so was I, very recommended."

Strong and some flippy moves, that was really cool, even though they haven't the best chemistry of all. Felt clumsy at some moments, but that delivered a lot at the end of it. Superb showcase for both dudes."

Strickland is someone who's a blue-chip signing for AEW and he could do wonders for the promotion if let loose a bit. The same goes with Nese too but a bit of character work is needed for him. For the fans who're unaware of Strickland, this match is more than enough to let them know about his swag and wrestling style. 3.75 out of 5 stars!"

Strickland can really do anything in the ring and this did a good job of showing this off and letting fans who do not know him yet get a glimpse of what he can do. Nese plays they heel pretty well and came at Strickland hard with some great strikes. Their history helped this match as well adding an extra layer to it. ****"
[7.0] "Not seen any of Swerve before his AEW debut and it was an impressive showing but not much of note happened. Nese is a good wrestler but I just can't get behind him, perhaps having a bigger heel would have been more ideal in this case."

These two have had a few matches together on NXT and 205 Live, and have good chemistry, with both of them looking like they had a chance to win. Nese is a great wrestler but a little anonymous, but even if he just ends up putting on matches like this to make others look good, he's good at the job."
[5.0] "Man, that producer probably feels like shit, cut to a different shot to protect the finish and exposed it worse. Swerve did not look great there. Very generic moveset and sloppy execution. It wasn't bad but I expected more. Nese outshined him."
[8.0] "I really liked this 205 Live offer match. Some may complain that Tony Nese got too much offense in, but it was the main event of the episode, so it needed SW3RVE to put work in to defeat him. A credible loss for Nese, and Strickland is on the board in AEW."
