Some absolutely insane spots here, but also a lot of waiting around and wrestlers disappearing for a while while others are getting their shit in."

It feels really solid in places, but not always natural or flowing. I'm also a little disappointed, because the personnel is of relatively high quality, although the individual strengths are hardly taken into account, as it's obviously only about the highlights. On the other hand, I agree with the winner, which is courageous and not undeserved."

Everyone had their moments, truthfully, including Ricky Starks with that absurd Spear between the ladder. A damn good match. 3.5 stars, 7 out of 10."

[4.0] "This was a big waste of potential. I was so excited when they announced Keith Lee v Hobbs v Wardlow. 3 big dudes that I enjoy watching, then they added Orange Cassidy. There's nothing wrong if you're a fan of his, but I am not. I don't want to watch a silly guy in a match with 3 monsters. But the match in itself was just confusing to follow. Ricky Starks had a lot of shine in this match which is great! Christian didn't feel like he added anything. But Wardlow was the obvious right choice for the W."

And I think everyone involved are very good wrestlers, and this was pretty good for what it was, but I think I expected more. Impressive spots by Cassidy when he flips himself over the ladder, I think this match was a good showing for him. ***"

[7.0] "This multi-man ladder match had an intriguing layout, with half of the field being three goliaths and the other half being three ordinary-sized participants. Wardlow, Hobbs, and Lee all had impressive showing here (including the three-way hoss fight! ), while Christian was the glue holding everything together. I've soured on Orange Cassidy for years now, but even I have to admit he easily had the best spots of the entire match, like when he skinned the cat to reach the prize while having his head trapped in a ladder (àla Terry Funk), and when he tried climbing over Lee and Hobbs to get to the top. After a needless cameo from Danhausen that nearly ruined the whole match, Wardlow powerbombed Starks on the ladder to finally obtain the giant donut. That's gotta sucked for Ricky since he had a neck injury at one point. This was a fun-filled car crash loaded with creative spots and a correct winner. [***3/4]"
[3.0] "To be honest I am having a hard time remembering what happened in this match but I will try my best. I will start by saying that Orange Cassidy's presence made it impossible to take this match seriously. Wardlow, Keith Lee , and Powerhouse Hobbs being in this match is booking malpractice. The reason being that this takes the uniqueness of them being the monsters of AEW especially when you put in front of each other and Lee would kind of dwarf the other two monsters. Of course a lot fans were looking forward to it anyway because just like "The Booker of the Year" they are dumb marks. The spots in this match were very very very obviously choreographed. Danhausen appeared and did nothing as usual. This was a trainwreck that went on too long but the correct guy won."

[7.0] "The stipulation is beyond tiresome but, no doubt thanks to Christian, this slowed down a little and had actual thought put into it so it wasn? t just a random ladder match that everyone forgets within the hour. Orange Cassidy links into this as well. I? ve grown bored of his gimmick but he was excellent in the match and had some terrific spots like him doing the Terry Funk spot into skinning the cat and almost reaching the sonic ring. This had plenty of moments crafted around the bigger men which I probably would? ve enjoyed more if they weren? t preceded by the awful ? take the moment in? spot. You? re not in WWE, so just wrestle! But I still enjoyed Hobbs absolutely wrecking himself on a running tackle to Keith Lee, missing and splating on the floor. And the table spot that took Keith Lee and Hobbs out of the match was cool. Naturally the worst part of the match was Danhausen? s run in which was made redundant immediately as Ricky Starks, who Danhausen prevented winning, climbed back up right after to complete the finish with Wardlow. Utterly pointless. Speaking of the finish, Starks, who has history with neck injury landing on his neck from a powerbomb. Ouch! ***1/2"
[8.0] "Such a great and refreshing ladder match. It's definatally a plus to have an unusual set of wrestlers included in a match normally designed for smaller wrestlers. Spots were fun, Orange Cassidy just WOWed me with that ladder stand. There were some sloppy moments there too, like Wardlow almost botching powerbombing Starks (god i feel bad for his neck) or some ladder shots looking really weak. Overall, I enjoyed this a lot and happy for the winner. Don't think Wardlow is going to win the TNT title, but a tleast it ties nicely with his feud with Maxwell."

[3.0] "Orange Cassidy's ironic gimmick is ridiculous. This match relied too much on them trying to be creative with the ladders. The moves they were trying to go for were half of the time sloppy. The table spot near the announce table took too long to set up and lost effectiveness because of it. Jim Ross was reading my mind when he said: "Is this train wreck almost over? " just before the finish."

The big bosses like Wardlow, Hobbes and Lee got plenty of time to do their power moves and get over, although the smaller ones like Christian perhaps could've done a bit more. Overall, this was an enjoyable match."
[8.0] "Felt like the match got to a point where it had done a bit too much (when Wardlow had cleared the ring, then decided to leave it to go after the rest of the big guys up the ramp), but still was a really fun watch. Wardlow was over huge and this felt like the perfect way of starting what should be his big push. Cassidy was the MVP of the match, though."

Having 3 powerhouse wrestlers in the match was interesting in theory, but in execution it just didn't work and Keith Lee was horrendous and unsafe. There were definitely some good spots though, my favourite being Orange Cassidy lifting himself up to the top of the horizontal ladder as Hobbs and Lee held it, that was great, but overall there just wasn't enough in this, for me."

All men were prominent and none was weak or disjointed here but have to be worried about Starks for the nasty bump he took. Wardlow, Lee & Hobbs were fantastic as giants while Cassidy brought the comedic aspect in a great way and Starks & Christian thriving here as great combatants. 4.25 out of 5 stars!"

First of all, I want to express my empathy about the situation with Ricky Starks, I hope everything is fine with him, I'm very worried. That's who made me laugh heartily is Orange Cassidy, all the spots with him made me smile, especially the pyramid of giants. Three giants in the person of Keith Lee, Hobbs & Wardlow gave their all, they were in the mate to the maximum and that's cool, because giants in such matches should be served in this way. Wardlow has established himself for me as a top fighter who can and should get opportunities, the audience supported him and he did not let me down. As a result, we saw an exorbitant number of different uses of stairs, even tables and human bodies :) I was completely satisfied. Christian Cage looked organic and dignified as a veteran."

A few dumb moments as pure usual, though, especially with Christian setting up ladder bridges against a ladder below the golden ring while everyone else was down and out, but a few decent spots made this worthwhile."

Starks could've been thrown around a little bit more so it wasn't always Cassidy but still stupid fun anyway. Wardlow winning just made all the sense, and I really want to see where we go with Team Taz and Keith Lee, there's so much potential watching these big guys go at it here was great as they just swatted the little guys away. Shooting a fight on the outside for 3 mins while half the competitors are (presumably) in the ring is insanely bad. AEW really needs to improve the way they film ladder and multi man matches. Happy to see Wardlow win to go along with his babyface later in the night. Nowhere near the best ladder matches we have seen recently: no signature spot(s), no real story told."
[7.0] "Another solid match here but the weakest of the night so far and it confirms my take that WWE books their multi-man Ladder matches a hundred times better than AEW and this since the beginning, the men's MITB matches are always cited among the best matches of the year in the company while AEW's are often underwhelming in my humble opinion even if I know that some will think the opposite and it's all to their credit. I liked the one a few months ago on Dynamite where Hangman came back by being in the Joker's position and winning his ticket to face Kenny at Full Gear, but this one was a bit less qualitative even if it was still pretty fun. It wasn't a waste of time or anything because I honestly had a good time watching it, there were some cool spots and everyone performed well but there are also some dull moments as well as some botches (like Wardlow's botched Powerbomb on Starks on the Ladder) so that's why it's a bit of a mixed bag for me. But overall it was a cool Ladder match that had its moments with the right call with Wardlow's victory, it's just that I'll have forgotten about it in a couple of hours and nothing really big happened."

The only spot involving the smaller participant that I remember was Starks taking that powerbomb on a ladder bridge, it looked ugly. Wardlow winning was another right call on the PPV. His stock rises, he's getting more over every day and I actually would like to see him become the TNT Champion."

Wardlow is busy with his story with MJF, and either a push for Starks or Keith Lee winning to show he's a Big Deal would have worked better. It also seemed to end rather suddenly, and without many of the participants being involved. Still good fun, but it could have been better."

Offered nothing new or stand-out when it comes to multi-man ladder matches, but that's kind of the starting-expectation anyways going into these things. It didn't overstay its welcome & it was designed brilliantly to put over Wardlow, so it certainly wasn't bad."

Ich finde das Match kommt hier defintiv zu schlecht weg, weil ich mich nicht an ein Leitermatch von anderen Ligen erinnere welches so viele Neuheiten mitgebracht hat. Mal ganz davon abgesehen kann man hier bei 3 Big Men im Match sicherlich auch nicht erwarten das man eine Highflying Aktion nach der anderen sehen kann. Es war halt eine andere Art von Leitermatch welche mir aber sehr gut gefallen hat."

For the most part this was offensively boring for a ladder match, and poor Keith Lee looked like shit here. The right man won, but do yourself a favour and just watch the last 2 minutes of this, or skip over it completely,"

That Starks bump was scary though. This was a pretty decent ladder match, though I feel that it's a weird place to put Wardlow's big ascension at."

There was also high-quality wrestling. Wardlaw, as I expected, won. I really hope for his push and subsequent promotion. Because he is growing before our eyes. As for the match, there were spots with ladders, spots on the ramp, and so on. That was cool. ***1/2"
[9.0] "This match was pretty insane. Not everything they set out to do worked but nothing was botched too bad either. Several moments I'd never seen in these kinds of matches before, and everyone looked great."
[9.0] "At this point myself and many others thought the multi-man ladder match was played out and there wasn't much left to do in them that hasn't been done, but this match did at least half a dozen things I've never seen before or at least haven't seen more than once and not for a long time. Everybody brought their A-game to this and made every spot work as well as it could; everybody came out of this match looking like more of a star than they were when they went into it. The three big men were a huge highlight, staring each other down and having some huge meat clashes as well as impressive shows of power, but OC's attempts at getting the ring without a ladder and Starks occasionally doing an insane spot were standouts too. Christian had a more muted presence but you can feel that he was there to help pace the match and his work was noticed and appreciated in the match too. This put Wardlow over big at just the right time when he's his most over which is really nice. ****1/4"
"A decent ladder match with some clever spots. Good group of wrestlers with no clear front runner, so it was pretty much anyone's guess who was gonna win. That being said i really think that victory went to the right man considering how amazing the whole storyline has been so far, and this win for Wardlow really adds to it perfectly. Now i tend to rate matches considering multiple factors (eg. match itself, storytelling, character development etc.) and not just rate the match as if it was in a vacuum, and all those factors taken into account this was a 10/10 for me. Definitely not the best ladder match per se but at this time, this event it was one of the highlights for me."

There were definitely some things that didn't go smoothly but they tried so much new stuff in here that I was blown away for most of the match. AEW has never done these matches well and here they had probably the best ladder match I've seen in forever."

Loved the little handshake between Starks and Hobbs before they rushed up the ladder, showed that it was totally healthy competition between friends instead of an endless array of sabotages and fake alliances. Also thought Wardlow really looked like a star here, delighted to have watched his rise to a borderline main event talent."
[8.0] "Hopefully the people who looked like they died, from Orange Cassidy to Ricky Starks, aren't actually severely injured. Wardlow and Keith Lee looked amazing, and Wardlow winning is the right call. ***3/4"
[9.0] "Another Super fun match on a stacked car, Big hoss fights, dives everywhere, a lot of cretive spots like Starks Spears through the Ladder. Cassidy being a really fun Highlight trying to outsmart everyone. And of course Wardlow getting a deserved victory"
[5.0] "This was a mess. A fun mess at points, but a mess all the same. Ricky Starks and Orange Cassidy almost died, and there were countless botches. There were some cool spots, but nothing that great either. Happy Wardlow won, hope he beats that no selling Sammy Guevara for the belt, but this was not good. [**1/4]"

[7.0] "When it comes to multi-man ladder matches, you are never going to get a ton of psychology in the match. This is all about big spots and memorable moments. Once you can accept that, a bout like this is a ton of fun. AEW did a good job balancing it out so everyone had a few moments to shine, but Wardlow was the standout for a few reasons. He had some of the best spots and had the support of the crowd. It was a good move booking him to win because now he and MJF can work toward their eventual breakup."

Maybe I? m being overly critical, but I found myself having a hard time getting into this."
