Probably made sense that the current Ring of Honor World Champion would be the 16 Carat Gold winner this year, only adds to Gresham's accomplishments. A bigger story emerged after the match with Dreissker attacking Gresham and then attacking Director of Sports Francis Kaspin, who had to retire from wrestling young due to a severe back injury - this is likely to lead to Dreissker being fired from his role as the head coach at the wXw Wrestling Academy, and maybe becoming the monster heel of the company, interesting given another heel in Tristan Archer is the champion."
