[7.0] "It's like 3 crazy bumps in a trench coat, the first of which is the craziest one. I need someone to make a reaction gif of Davey Richards' thousand yard stare."

[7.0] "A very enjoyable ladder match with a few memorable spots. I felt like the overall pacing was a little slow and the handcuffing section was a negative for me. The bump Steen took at the end was awesome."

[9.0] "This was a fantastic match. It wasn't the war that the first Ladder War was, but it did it's best to be a worthy follow up. There was some great spots here, the biggest ones with El Generico doing a sunset flip power bomb to Davey Richards on the table and El Generico taking a back body drop from Eddie Edwards through a table, both of which was from the top of a ladder. Kevin Steen also took a big fall through a table and a ladder. The one thing that clearly hurt this match was that Eddie Edwards was legit hurt going into the match, which explains why he didn't do much with his right arm. I wonder what spots they had in mind when Eddie wasn't hurt. Outside of that, this was an awesome match, with some big spots and El Generico beating up Shane Hagadorn. ****1/2"

[8.0] "Apparently Eddie Edwards was legitimately injured going into this match, which seemingly hurt this match somewhat. Perhaps it would have been better if they made this match shorter and more explosive because the middle section where Kevin Steen was handcuffed seemed to drag somewhat. Compared to the other Ladder War match I saw before (Steen & Generico vs the Briscoes), this was really nowhere near as good. Not to say this was bad, though! There were definitely some great bumps (especially the big one Steen took, which was pretty crazy). Steen & Generico were great as always and the American Wolves were solid heels (though Edwards was getting cheered because of a sympathetic crowd). Really good, but slightly disappointing compared to the previous Ladder War match that I had seen."

[8.0] "This was a match I respected more than I enjoyed. Eddie Edwards broke his arm the previous night, but decided to wrestle this match anyway, forever earning the respect of the crowd and ROH fans in general. Unfortunately, he's limited in what he can do and (understandably) doesn't take any crazy bumps, which kind of ruins some of the suspense a little. Also, it did mess with the dichotomy of the match. Steen and Generico are supposed to be the sympathetic babyfaces while the Wolves are the vicious heels, but the nature of Edwards' injury made him the sympathetic wrestler everyone was rooting for, so Steen & Generico came off looking villainous for attacking a one-armed man. It's definitely a great match where everyone worked incredibly hard, but it's probably my least favorite of the original three Ladder Wars."

[9.0] "Maybe not the most violent Ladder War in ROH history, but still a very violent brawl. Steen and Generico have to be given a lot of credit for pretty much carrying the match since the Wolves weren't very experienced in weapons matches, plus Eddie Edwards only had one arm working here. I mean Steen and Generico fucking killed themselves to make this match as awesome as it was because the spots they gave and took were absolutely insane. Pure carnage with Steenerico once again losing a big time Ladder War, ****1/2."

[9.0] "You have to give all the credit in the world to Eddie Edwards for even going through with this match after the injury he sustained the night before. That alone added to the story of this match. Another big item was the fact that Steen & Generico displayed their willingness to kill themselves for the World Tag Team Titles. The match was great despite the Eddie Edwards injury, but at the same time the injury hurt the match. Because of that it is probably the worst of the Four Ladder Wars (not saying the match was bad at all). I can only image how much better it could had been had Edwards not been injured."
