Kennedy does a fine job being the leader of this tag team, but Garett & Wes lack the charisma required to play cut-throat, mean heels for you to get emotionally invested against in any way. The more Wes I watch, the more I kind of don't want to see him in this A&8 role. I was ((( amazed ))) to learn that to this day, Wes is an active freelancer; his stuff here (& throughout A&8 in general) is so blase. There's nothing wrong with this on paper, but it's just kind of a bad look to be having a match that belongs on TV at best on a card that people would have been paying what, $39.99? to watch? Back then? The way that Joe explodes with energy towards the conclusion is a thing of beauty. Guy deserves all the 10's he gets. |
