[3.0] "Didn't care about this feud I feel like it made me lose interest in Cole pretty fast that he was having matches with this comedy guy. A lights out match no less, I see this feud as a turning point for me being excited about Adam Cole in AEW"
[6.0] "OC's only victory out-of six over Cole was in an eight man tag in-which he was not the winning player; OC has also been pinned by Cole at-least twice out-of the five remaining matches. So thank goodness he got some credibility back after defeating the previously undefeated AC in a match the heel asked for. It nicely tied-up the story and hopefully both guys, who don't share great chemistry, can move-on. A little slow and silly for my tastes but the booking makes this recommendable. 3 1/6"
[4.0] "Lackluster match between Cole and Cassidy here which I hated back then and still hate to see again now, my opinion hasn't changed even though I was hoping it might with a rewatch but in reality it was just as flat as I remembered and I find that regrettable. I don't say that with pleasure as Adam Cole is my favourite wrestler, I love all his matches and rivalries in general simply because it's always good but here it just wasn't the case, he and Cassidy never matched up. They have no chemistry, no inspiration and it just didn't click, it's not a big deal it can happen but we already saw it in their first match so I thought it was pointless to prolong the rivalry. It's a watchable match, which some people will probably like because there are plenty of spots and Danhausen's debut but the thing as a whole is not to be recommended at all in my opinion. Nothing stood out to me, everything is forgettable and Cassidy beating Cole is an extremely stupid thing even if it's not considered in the rankings."
[3.0] "This was a pretty bad match, but somehow not as bad as I expected it to be. It's a generic plunder brawl with very little wrestling. The same weapon spots you've seen a hundred times over. Cole's been in a ton of these as well. There was a sliver of psychology with Cole attacking Cassidy's arm. Although Cole's control segment was dreadful I thought Cassidy consistently sold the pain of his hand very well. Cassidy had some good babyface comebacks, and this is probably the most I've ever liked him in a match. I thought he outshined Cole here because Cole offered nothing interesting with his offense or heel work. What brought this match down further for me was the comedy spots. You have Cassidy finally looking serious and they're still doing comedy spots and the match ends on one. **"
[8.0] "Very fun match, Cassidy and Cole delivered the expected. And also good that Cassidy won the match, unexpected and a great way to give Adam's first loss in AEW. *** 3/4"
[8.0] "The culmination of a feud that existed only for Adam Cole and the Elite to have something to do. Still, not bad. Not much comedy wrestling from Orange in this match (not that I mind it). Surprised to see Cassidy get the victory with a brutal maneuver off the ramp. Solid overall match from two workers that do very little wrong and certainly nothing offensive here"
[7.0] "Danhausen, damn it, this is what it looks like: () Orange Cassidy showed himself as a smart guy today, he really thought through all the meannesses of Adam and was able to beat him. It seems to me that their enmity will not end there. Of course, everything was nice here, and Tony Khan was seen and walked around the ring, and an exchange of crown blows was arranged in the ring - everything was in the best traditions."
[7.0] "That was great fun. Danhausen popped outta nowhere, got a hell of a pop as Cassidy and Cole showed their chemistry. This was funny and chaotic as the spots were pretty cool. The matchup was well-done. The final spot was crazy. They depicted well all their hate as well."
[8.0] "Enjoyed this a lot. Whether or not it deserved the Lights Out stipulation, it was a fun match that had the feeling of an Attitude Era main event. For example, there was an excellent use of space, with a brawl into the go position and Tony Khan in the background. I loved the use of slightly rarer foreign objects like the stage light and the ring bell too. Great finish too. The only things that let it down for me was a slow portion around the ad break, and a poor crowd (possibly a combination of the breathtaking ladder match earlier in the night, and this feud being a little tepid). I appreciate giving OC the big win here too. He's a phenomenal wrestler, and I don't thnik this hurts Adam Cole one bit. Oh, and the Danhausen cameo was beautifully bizarre. What a delightful weirdo."
[7.0] "Enjoyed this despite the pacing being a little slow and none of the stunts quite matching what Sammy pulled off earlier in the night. I enjoyed the finishing bump but I did think it was a little awkward the way they just seemed to fall off the side of the staging. Still, good fun and the crowd were into it. ***3/4"
[4.0] "This shouldn't have been a Lights Out match but a No Holds Barred or Falls Count anywhere as it didn't get anywhere close to being an Unsanctioned Lights Out match. It was a relatively safe match and although I am not a huge fan of gory hardcore match, the match should complement the stipulation. Also, I found the pacing way too slow and it dragged quite a lot; And the finish was a little dull. The best thing here was Dan Hausen's small cameo. **1/4"
[4.0] "Make adam Cole have a lose, even if it doesn't count officaly in the ratings of AEW, is stupid, especially if he is supposed to fight Adam Page Quickly. The match without being awfull isn't especially good."
[9.0] "Even if I didn't understand all that kind of "Lights out" stipulation match (it looked the same as a NO DQ match, Unsactioned match, or a Extreme Rules match, even a Falls Count Anywhere match) It was very good to end the event. Cassidy and Cole are some of the wrestlers with more hype from the crowd, and that eventually made the match better. They also had some great spots. [****1/2]"
[8.0] "This was a good match between Orange Cassidy and Adam Cole. You could feel the tension as they fought throughout this match. I was truly shocked when Danhausen appeared from under the ring. The ending fall through the floor had me worried about Adam Cole's health. That was a nicefeel-good ending with the Best Friends carrying out Orange Cassidy."
[9.0] "Far and away the best Adam Cole singles match I've ever seen. The lion's share of the credit goes to Cassidy and the way the match was structured, but I'll give Cole credit, I don't usually care for him but he did well enough here. The fight in the Gorilla Position was particularly memorable, as was Cassidy's bloody hand, and the finish was very satisfying."
[5.0] "Pretty clueless brawl around the arena and backstage areas. I guess it was nice seeing OC have some serious fire, but this match also suffered from lack of Psychology, and was just about hitting eachother with objects increasing in size. Thought OC revealing his groin protection was unnecessary, as he just casually threw it away, wouldn't it make more sense to put it back, how would you know this was the only time in the match where you could get low blowwed. Finish was totally stupid, AC being totally subdued by a hug from a skinny guy and leaped off with him like a poor attempt at New Jack & Vic Grimes. Why not low blow him, he didn't have his codpiece anymore. *** Not the type of match to end a long built-up storyline."
[8.0] "A little flimsy with Adam's first loss being in a Lights Out match (so he hasn't lost a ranked singles match yet), but the match was awesome. Very nice, very evil, indeed"
[8.0] "this was not exactly the blast i was expecting, the crowd also ooked a bit disappointed in some moments; nevertheless great action with insane spots as expected by these two. maybe I would have protected Adam Cole for a bit longer maybe until a feud with the hangman, but also it was abou time that orange cassidy got what he deserved in terms of actual wrestling beside hise great gimmick and character impersonation."
[7.0] "Great brawl to end this entertaining feud. The pacing might vary the taste of other fans but I felt that this was a slow, constructed brawl that had cool spots and interferences kept apt. The ending was pulled off in a cool way while the winner choice is something that might have issues with others. But, considering that this stipulated match will not affect the track record, Cassidy winning as a crowd pleaser makes sense in my opinion. And, DANHAUSEN is All Elite who is another crowd pleaser. 3.5 out of 5 stars!"
[7.0] "Cole losing to OC is kinda dumb but I guess it won't count on his official record. This match was solid enough. Didn't need to be lights out, but a few solid chair and table spots did the trick. Danhausen debutbhad me dying laughing, and the ending spot is very sick. All in all pretty good way to hopefully end the feud."
[5.0] "I really was disappointed by this match. Both of these guys are too good to be limited to plunder matches that have no transition or psychology between spots, particularly Adam Cole. And unlike the ladder match earlier in the night, these two did not come up with anything I have not seen before. They could have had a great traditional match instead of a tired, overdone plunder match. They still executed their spots well, which is the only reason I am not rating it lower."
[5.0] "It was ok but pretty disappointing considering the stip and length of the feud. I enjoyed the surprise Danhausen debut and the run-in spot, but otherwise it wasn't that notable. The finish was also kinda weird and awkward."
[10.0] "This was one of the most entertaining matches on Dynamite in a while for me. The Danhausen thing made me so happy, but this match ramped up after it, not because of it. I thought what they did in the match leading up to the finish was deft, and their build towards the end made me really want OC to win. The feeling in my house when he got the three count was triumph, and I went into the match fairly lukewarm on the feud itself."
[7.0] "While the Lights Out stipulation is kinda dumb, I still felt this was a pretty good match. Danhausen's debut was weird but cool to finally see. I liked that the finish, while being a great spot, also included elements of Cassidy's comedic nature. Hopefully, this is the end of this feud because I'm getting a bit tired of seeing Elite/Best Friends matches every week."
[5.0] "This match in some ways reminded me of the parking lot fight between Santana and Ortiz and Best Friends. In that match, they fought to settle a blood feud but it was all decided with a comedy spot when Orange Cassidy emerged from the boot of a car. It was a tonal shift which betrayed the match. The same thing happened here, both with the Danhausen spot and Cassidy hugging Cole while Cole hugged his balls. Cole took a pretty nasty looking fall off of the stage, even if there was padding down there, but it was made to feel light and inconsequential by unnecessary comedy elements. Cassidy was fired up, serious, and bloody and still ended it with a comedy spot."
[6.0] "This shouldn't have been booked as a lights out match. Nothing warranted it and this didn't even go much beyond what you usually see every other week on Dynamite aside from the ending which was really cheesy."
[6.0] "Fine match but it didn't really need the billing of a lights-out match and could've just been called no DQ as it wasn't that brutal. The best thing about the whole match was Cole targeting Cassidy's arm, Cassidy sold it really well. I could have done with all interferences from the YB it just feels overplayed. Not sure if this being Coles first loss is the right decision but it's whatever.***1/4"
[5.0] "This match is fine in a vacuum, but it's hard not to compare it to the other Lights Out matches where it comes up short. Entertaining enough as an end to the TV show but not something I'd ever seek out again."
[8.0] "I was expecting something more insane, in the tradition of the AEW's lights out matches of the past, dut it was more entertaining that OMG. Still pretty good tho, and huge pop for Danhausen."
[7.0] "I marked out when Orange Cassidy broke his own sunglasses and popped again when Adam Cole stepped on them nonetheless. This feud has been brewing for weeks on end, with Cassidy showing us a side of himself that we had yet to see. Cole, meanwhile, is about as snarky a heel as one can find, which made this potential grudge match one that needed to be seen. Some of the best spots and moments were admittedly stuck in the commercial break, including the insane Backstabber aided by the steel chain. In saying that, I watched the picture and picture intently and thus cannot fault the wrestlers, even if the company somewhat let them down. Orange Cassidy did an incredible job of selling his right hand, including when he threw caution to the wind for the Orange Punch that did damn near as much damage to himself as it did to Cole. I also loved the Michinoku Driver across the steel chairs, which even made my wife cringe. All in all, this was a more than enjoyable main event between two guys who I am sure would produce an even better match on a Pay-Per-View. 3.75 stars, 7.5 out of 10."
[3.0] "A good wrestling match. Orange Cassidy looked good. Though as a lights out match, this was disappointing. Overbooked, and did nothing to put Cole over in AEW. Cassidy's a talented wrestler, though he shouldn't be mixing with the likes of Cole. Cole's been poorly managed so far in AEW, and it's a shame."
[8.0] "Good battle with some nasty spots like the finish, I really thought Adam Cole was injured because he landed neck first and did not move after the match finished. The match made sense, with Orange Cassidy being smarter than Cole to beat him. The in-ring psicology was great and the storytelling was nice. Maybe some fans dont like the fact that Cole lost, but Im okay with it."
[5.0] "For a lights out match, this seemed rather tame and more focused on the comedic elements of Orange Cassidy. In my opinion, this is the worst Lights Out match to date. I don't agree with Cole taking the loss, despite this not 'affecting his record', even though records don't matter in wrestling. The debut of Danhausen is something to note here, and personally, I don't think having a comedy wrestler debut in your serious main event is a great idea. Nothing against Danhausen, just not where I'd have him come into the fold."
[8.0] "What a great fight and what a way to close the show with that tremendous blow outside the Ring, the truth is that I did not know if it would surprise me so much but this Main Event has been quite good and not bad at all."
[7.0] "Pretty good Lights Out match, even though it's not the kind of match that I'm much into, I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of cool spots and storytelling moments, and I'm very surprised that Orange Cassidy actually won.. ***3/4"
[8.0] "As a match this was very good, but when you see the LIGHTS OUT stipulation, I think you expect, weapons, nasty bumps, blood even. This was extremely tame and the only dangerous spot was the finish. Good match, bad use of the stipulation. ***3/4"
[6.0] "This was a fine, and refreshingly tame main event. There were some fun weapon spots and I liked Cole targetting Cassidy's hand throughout the match. My main issue with the match was the finish. Adam Cole looked like a moron not being able to escape a hug, and Cassidy handing Adam Cole his first AEW loss, even if it technically isn't "official", just doesn't feel right. I also could have done without all of the faction members coming out but it's routine at this point. Decent but a horrid finish lowers the rating. [***]"
[8.0] "Good match, great spot to close the show on. I was hoping they'd be done with this feud so Cole can move on to Page, but this was enjoyable and had the fun danhausen debut"
[6.0] "The match was good, as expected. But everything else is bad. The how the defeat came, who the first defeat came against in aew for Cole. Cole needing others to win against ORANGE CASSIDY and then not even winning. I don't know, they're not working well with Cole, but if people are happy, that's fine."
[9.0] "The expected great match between two stars here, with an amazing cameohausen. I'm enjoying Cassidy slowly becoming more engaged in the big matches, showing that there's far more to him than just the slacker character. It was the right result too, highlighting Cole's arrogance in underestimating OC while not technically having a loss on his record due to the unsanctioned nature of the match."
