[7.0] "This is one of the more 'complete' feeling matches in this rivalry thanks to its runtime, however it doesn't quite have the same level as tenacity that were present in the best bouts of the series. It's still a really good, competitive match-up, though, and the two have strong chemistry with each other and the action has a very natural sense of flow throughout. A well wrestled match for sure, but the series ends up feeling like it needs one last match to put everything together and definitively bring the rivalry to a close - but unfortunately that was not to be."

[7.0] "This was a fun match between two underrated workers who could have a good match with their eyes closed. Even though they were in a B Show, they had time and took this opportunity to deliver a quality match-up. Paul London's performance was excellent, he was a great babyface here and connected well with the crowd. His comeback was really good. Akio played his heel role well and I'm sad that he became Jimmy Wang Yang afterwards because he was a very solid wrestler before that, he proved it here. Chavo in commentary was a great touch too, it was definitively something cool."

[4.0] "OK TV match. Good selling by Paul London and cool finish to the match. For Velocity was better than a normal match on the show."

[8.0] "This match was essentially on par with the product of something like Ring of Honor or the Pro Wrestling NOAH's Jr. Heavyweight division at the time. Both men gave 110%, delivered some vicious strikes, and made each other look like absolute stars in the process. There was a scary botch where London landed on his head, but he got back up and finished the match in spectacular fashion. An underrated gem of a match, shame it was on a show like Velocity."
