They were wasting no time at the beginning with the big spots and using the weapons they had available, there were some nasty spots, one or two, like it always looks kinda horrific when they use these glass boards to me no matter how they are used. However, this caused them to go out of doing interesting stuff pretty early on because all they did with the lighttubes was pretty much what you see in any other match involving lighttubes. The actual wrestling bit they had at the end wasn't very intriguing either, it was pretty much just Kasai hitting big moves on Yamashita with her kicking out of each move. I've seen better. |

On top of this being a death match, it was also an intergender match, and I thus struggled buying into Yamashita's moments of dominance and control over Kasai, even if those moments were kept more rare than not. Their few pure wrestling exchanges were mostly pretty generic too, though Kasai did hit a few pretty cool and somewhat dangerous-looking moves in the 2nd half. This match really just felt too relatively tame to properly appeal to either ardent death-match fans or casuals, though I wouldn't call it bad. It's more just very mediocre. **1/2 |

Rina Yamashita delivers a star-making performance as she endures unfathomable amounts of punishment and goes shot for shot against one of the legends of this match type in Jun Kasai. Yamashita hit some of the best offensive I have seen this year and built the emotion of this encounter to perfection near the end. I reiterate that this is not my typical cup of tea, but this blew me away and was a truly unique experience for me as a wrestling fan. 4 stars, 8 out of 10. What a grueling war. |

Rina looked so good and the blood added so much when she made her comebacks. Her comebacks were great and aside of the weapons, the match was stiff with the lariats and elbow strikes. I really liked how Rina didn't give up at the end after all the huge spots and huge moves that she took from Kasai. The final minutes were so good. (****) |

Sie ist der beste Beweis wie ich meine Meinung über jemanden ändern kann wenn man bei mir einfach wächst. Anfang 2021 noch eher nicht so cool gefunden mauserte sich Yamashita mittlerweile zu einen meiner Favoriten im Genre und Allgemein. Allein wie gekonnt Rina die gesamte Kasai Offensive absorbierte und die Schmerzen einfach auffraß, großartig! **** |

Great wrestling, great story told of Yamashita wanting to prove that she deserved main-event spots in FREEDOMS, and well it's a Kasai match so it's not really surprising, but some very violent spots just to elevate the match even higher. Kasai's reign couldn't have started in a better way, and Yamashita went out way more over than she was before the match. ****1/4 |

This did not have the spectacular top rope dives through boards that other great Kasai matches have. However, this was extra hard-hitting, and a couple of the suplex spots looked nasty as hell. It was basically a 2000s NOAH match with tons of glass. Rina Yamashita may have slightly outworked Kasai here. She is also on a hot streak of great matches, and both she and Kasai are on track for a great year. ****1/4 |
