No matter how hard anyone worked, the fun was sucked out of everything and it was just so lifeless. The environment with minimal cheering and no heat for anything makes you question your fandom. This wasn't the worst of wrestling during that era, but I don't think this was great either. Did this match need to go 25? No. While the wrestling here was great there was no narrative to build upon. Sure the lack of crowd investment plays a role but WALTER moving from working on the arm to Noir's leg made no sense. It sucks even more when the control segments weren't half-bad. Slapping Noir's sole is a spot I've never seen before. So simple yet innovative. I wasn't a fan of most of Noir's work. Whether it's Riddle with his legit credentials, or Noir here, leg kicks without pads don't work. The finish didn't help either. They were building it along quite nicely but ending it as soon as WALTER got an opening. I get the sense of urgency but it fell flat for me. |

Cara Noir is a pure diamond to be polished who made so much bangers on the european independent scene for two years now and who has surely delivered one of the best performances of his career here which I hope will put even more light on him as I feel he's a talent who's still too much underrated compared to his true worth. Both delivered perfectly and it doesn't surprise me because this poster was destined to succeed, it was obvious that the brutality of WALTER mixed with the fighting spirit of Cara Noir would give rise to some magical moments. Great action, hot crowd, insane atmosphere, two elite performers who simply deliver excellent pro wrestling. |

It seems he's been frequenting the gym since losing the NXT UK Championship. Here he faces the current PROGRESS Champion Cara Noir in a first-ever meeting. I'm surprised this match hasn't gotten more hype considering the important ramifications behind it. Both guys put in a great effort, and Noir's ability to lock in the Sleeper at any moment from any position adds a ton of excitement to his matches. I appreciated the clean win here as I feared POGRESS could have an issue with their champion losing clean, but Noir put in such a fighting effort that he comes off looking good in defeat. |
