[6.0] "Not really a match, but it is a very enjoyable segment minus the bad Marlena storyline. It was hilarious when they was doing the fake wrestling stuff when Sgt. Slaughter forces them to wrestle when Pillman is rumbled with not really breaking his arm. This does actually turn into a fight when Marlena hits Owen with a loaded purse, but unfortunately it doesn't really go on long enough with Goldust causes Owen to win by DQ. Then the Owen hard fought match winning speech was really funny when Austin attacks him and breaks the restraining order which leads to one of the most iconic Raw moments ever."

[6.0] "The match is more interesting from a storyline standpoint. Pillman, accompanied by Marlena, was forced to confront his good friend after failing to fake an injury and forfeit. At the time, Pillman was no longer the same amazing athlete he used to be, but he was an incredibly charismatic character capable of telling a story. At one point heat really started to appear between the wrestlers, but it ended with Goldust wanting revenge on Pillman and Owen winning by disqualification before being attacked by Steve Austin. Far from a masterpiece as a wrestling match, but this match nonetheless advanced several storylines at once, including even the Austin/McMahon feud gaining momentum, which was its usefulness."

[7.0] "The low rating for this is absurd. The story of this being the two faction members aka the two friends does not want to wrestle each other, however they are forced due to Sgt. Slaughter. They start fighting each other for real once Marlena hits Owen Hart in the back of the head with her purse. It's not a masterpiece of a match, but it's also not a pay-per-view bloodfeud match. This is a RAW story match. Not sure what anyone expected."

How awkward they are wrestling against each other, and when Bret comes out to stop them and bring them together, its so great how this is something in most cases would be praised, family getting back together after, but the crowd is booing because its all in spite of them. Lovely."

[2.0] "Seeing as both men are stablemates, they don't want to fight each other and Pillman tries to fake an injury to forfeit the bout. Sgt. Slaughter sees right through this and forces him to fight Owen. They don't want to fight, so they instead take the piss and pretend to have a match by doing slow-motion exchanges. They have an incident with Marlena and they actually start fighting. The sad thing about this is that their half-speed fake fighting segment didn't all feel that different when they actually start locking up. Goldust runs down and ends this trainwreck. Pillman was a hell of a character that would have fit right in with the Attitude Era as evident by the pre-match with antics, but his body is ruined and it makes you wonder how the rest of his career would play out if he didn't pass away so soon."

[2.0] "For all intents and purposes, Pillman versus Owen Hart should have been a great match. These two were two of the finest athletes WWF had to offer at the time. However, most of the match was them pretending to fight until a few real shots were taken and then Goldust came out to cause the DQ finish."

They fight half-heartedly until Goldust runs in for the DQ finish resulting in Owen taking the win. As instantly forgettable a match as you'll find since this is immediately followed by Austin's first stunner to Vince."
