They personify arrogant heels perfectly, but that arrogance ultimately backfires on them in this match. Seven and Bate are former NXT tag team champs but have never held the UK belts, so if they win Bate will become the first NXT UK triple crown holder. It's a hard fought match with both teams looking like they could win, but ultimately Howley and Stoker underestimate Moustache Mountain and lose the title. I don't know what's next for Pretty Deadly, but I'd like to see them on a larger stage at some point. One of the best NXT UK matches of the year. |

Trent Seven finally captures an NXT UK Championship, Moustache Mountain becomes the first tag team to win both the NXT US & NXT UK Tag Team Championship, and the great Tyler Bate becomes the first ever NXT UK Triple Crown Champion. It's the right call for me to have made this title change now and the fact that they lost to Howley & Stoker a few months ago was a good idea too as it makes their moment even more magical. The match was full of interesting elements with some excellent tag team action, Pretty Deadly's heel tactics combined with Moustache Mountain's incredible babyface-work could only make magic and I was never bored. They had a lot of time (almost twenty minutes) and it was clearly worth it as it was the best match of the whole week, so happy for MM who are one of the best teams on this goddamn planet and just look at Seven's emotion after the match. |
