[7.0] "This was a really entertaining match, with the Russians absolutely beating the hell out of Robert Gibson for most of it. The finish was a bit abrupt, as Ricky Morton got the hot tag and immediately scored the pin with a rollup, but the deafening pop from the crowd made it all worth it. The post-match beatdown by the Russians was epic and added to the chaos. As usual, there was plenty of blood and mayhem. ***1/2"
[6.0] "A little disappointing for a semi-main-event. After seeing more brutal matches during the evening, I didn't find this tag very impressive. You believe in it, but it's pretty basic from start to finish, and the cage is almost too much. Only the prestige of the title and the support of the audience give it a little something extra. In-ring quality: 0.25/4. Stakes: 1.5/2. Justification: ? /1. Place on the map: 1/1. Suspense: ? /1. Bonus/Malus: none Total: 5.75/10. Match seen on WWE Network."
[7.0] "3.5 stars a vicious just vicious tag team match on a steel cage which really they shouldn't have been taging in the first because since this is a steel cage match there is no disqualification thus the tags are pointless anyways this is the most ruthless I've ever seen the russians both in ring and post match and rickey morton and robert green held themselves well here also really more blood haven't had that enough already can't wait to see how good the main event of halle 2 is."
[7.0] "A fantastic babyface performance from the Rock 'n' Roll Express. They were so good at selling and getting the sympathy from the crowd - here Gibson was the one taking all the beating and whenever there was the slightest hope of a comeback the fans were losing their minds. The Russians on the other hand were solid heels here with some decent cheating tactics and both guys were in a great shape physically. Also a very good finish with one of the loudest pops I've heard."
[6.0] "This was a decent enough match. The match manages to not get boring however it didnt make much sense to have normal tag team rules inside a steel cage. The crowd was really electric and right behind the Rock and Roll Express."
[7.0] "I really enjoyed this match. The pacing was great and it never got boring. Strangely, I would usually dislike Steel Cage Tag Team Matches in which wrestlers just tag in and out like in normal matches but it didnt really bother me here. The Russians did good heel work and the crowd was hot for the faces' comebacks. Not as good as the earlier I Quit Match but definitely worth watching."
[7.0] "Nobody takes a whipping like Ricky Morton. The crowd is all about Ricky and Robert in this match. Ivan and Nikita are dominant heels and Ricky sells his whipping to create maximum heat for the older and younger Koloffs. Fun match ... only complaint I would offer is that it feels like it runs a little longer than needed."
[7.0] "Good tag match elevated by the absolutely molten crowd. The Rock N' Roll are treated as gods by the Greensboro crowd and that takes an already pretty good tag match into another level of excitement. The two teams have an entertaining back and forth to start, with the babyfaces getting the better of the exchanges. Robert Gibson gets cut off and plays babyface in perill for the rest of the match until, after much punishment and a couple of hope spots, he finally manages to tag in Ricky Morton who steals a victory with an O'Connor Roll. Classic tag team story, and the story the Rock N' Roll Express were masters at telling through their exciting offense and fantastic selling. The Koloffs are a good tag team and do an adequate job here, but they're not as dynamic as other famous RNR Express opponents and the heat portion of the match is a bit too much 'punch and kick' for my taste"
[6.0] "This was a solid match for the World Tag Titles. This had the right ending by the Rock 'N Roll Express winning the titles. The big thing that drags this bout down is the confused rules; it's always dumb if a company tries to do normal tag rules in a cage match."
[6.0] "The action was all solid, but I felt confused by the rules. The referee was constantly acting as though he could disqualify the participants, counting the partners out when they would enter the ring and things of that nature. The heels would cheat behind the refs back and everybody more-or-less treated the match as a regular tag. Meanwhile, on commentary they were talking about how it was no disqualifications and how the referee couldn't do anything but encourage the participants to maintain order. Very odd. I also disliked the ref bump and his abrupt recovery for the finish. It's a shame because the action was all pretty good if you ignore these issues. This has the potential to be much better than it was, but there was still enough to like here for it to be an enjoyable match."
[9.0] "Thought this was a great match that told a great story. I enjoy the work of both of these teams and any fans of old school wrestling style who haven't seen this should check it out."
[7.0] "I was looking forward to this match until I realized that this was a cage match that required tags! The heels also try to cheat behind the referee's back despite there being no disqualifications. What is the point of that? ! Once you are able to get over that, this match is rather enjoyable. It's speed versus strength here, with Gibson and Morton bettering the heels during their shine by using a lot of fast-paced maneuvers. The Russians keep things simple and do a good job at cutting off their opponents. Nikita looks like a total star in the making here, with Ivan being the veteran who is here to help out the more inexperienced Nikita. Gibson works the face in peril segment this time around. He does a good job at it. He sells well and takes some nasty bumps into the cage. The crowd absolutely loves the Rock 'n' Roll Express and they erupt when they finally get the win."
[6.0] "This was a pretty bang average match to headline this side of the card. It was no DQ but both teams followed rules so they looked dumb as hell. The must have been some mistiming in post match as Morton basically climbed out the cage as his partner was getting whooped until Ivan helped push him out."
