Konami was good too tho, in fact she got Syuri on the verge of losing at one point, as her kicks seemed too much to handle for Syuri. Ultimately, Syuri came back and overpowered Konami, I mean they just kicked the shit out of each other at the end. However, there wasn't really any suspense, given that Syuri had a big match upcoming with Utami, there was really no way that she would lose here."
[8.0] "These two going into UWF Rules was pretty sweet while they've managed pretty well the points system. Konami put Syuri in jeopardy with some pretty stiff kicks, but also displayed some good technical sequences to make the champ lose points. They went all out on striking as well. The finish came a bit abruptly, and not in the strongest way, but otherwise, the bout itself was crazy. Clearly my very sweet type of wrestling."
[10.0] "I just LOVE UWF matches. This one is probably the best I've seen. Of course, Sabre and Shibata are great, but 5 minutes is not 13. Excellent striking technique from both, cool exchanges, knockout from Syuri - murder. ****3/4"

Making this match a UWF Rules made total sense, since their previous matches were all about technical skills and intense strikes that nearly killed each other. Not only that, but we also got plenty of good storytelling, which just makes this match even better! Simply great shit, man. ****"
[7.0] "I'm contemporarily accustomed to these rules as ROH's Pure Title gimmick has been at the forefront of their federation for almost the past two years. So once the chain, slow jackoff, was over these women built the match well culminating into a very good strike exchange. It ended a minute past its peak, but not too egregious. 3 1/3 - 3/8"

UWF rules match as suppose to be realistic and more like a MMA contest, so I'm fan of putting wrestling moves like sharpshooters, dragon screw, etc in it. Also I didn't like the no sell, and the storytelling in it. It was not bad but it could be better, knowing we have Konami and Syuri in the ring, the best grappler vs the best striker in Stardom. 2, 75*"
[7.0] "This was something a little different and I appreciate that since this was my first time watching a UWF match. I wouldn't want to see them regularly but there was an absorbing quality to it as they blended shoot/MMA style with the drama of pro wrestling. I give it a 7 because I wasn't blown away but I certainly enjoyed myself and was invested throughout."
[5.0] "Love Konami. Love Syuri. I did not love this match but it was ok. In general, I don't like UWFi/blood sport matches as I usually don't tend to enjoy them for whatever reason. It had its ups and downs where it was getting better at the end. 2 3/4 stars."
[7.0] "I was a bit skeptical that I would enjoy a UWF rules match as I generally do not love this style. The first half was a little slow as Syuri and Konami traded holds, but the second half was very good and won me over. Konami looked strong while not making Syuri look weak, Instead, she came across as a resilient champion and legit challenger for the World of Stardom title."
[7.0] "This UWF Rules match between Syuri and Konami was a really good one, but the finishing stretch was not well booked at all to me. Konami dominated Syuri here and it was a good surprise, she made her lose points in an intelligent way, for example with her Triangle Lancer which led to a Rope Break. Some good kicks and great technical action between these two, but the finish was full of no sells before it ended, and it was a weirdly booked to me. ***1/2"
[8.0] "This was the best U-Inter style match I've seen recently. Both wrestlers are obviously suited for this style of match, with Syuri being probably the most qualified in the country. They were able to communicate the drama and splendor of pro-wrestling through a mostly shoot-style match, using the ruleset to create momentum shifts and build tension. ****"
[4.0] "Felt like there is a lack of consequences on this match, things happen and 1 minute after they are an afterthought, time to do some stiff kicks again, its your average syuri match and that isn't something to rave about."
[8.0] "This was an absolute delight. I would have given it 9 or 10 if it didn't fall apart a bit down the stretch after Syuri seemed to dump Konami right on her head/face. That said there were no blown spots, it's just the knockout sequence was considerably less stiff than some of the earlier work and you always want to peak at the climax. Regardless, this was tremendous and reminds me that I really should watch GLEAT more."
[9.0] "Ask Syuri and Konami to kick the hell out of each other, and that's what you get. Syuri obviously was in her element here and Konami's style mix perfectly with the UWF rules, so it ended up being great. The only spot in the match may be Syuri dropping Konami on her neck on a suplex, which basically ended the match for her. The finish is the right one imo, Syuri knocks out Konami so she looks strong and Konami didn't look weak as she pushed a former succesful MMA fighter to the limit an a MMA-type match and didn't tap. ****1/4"
[8.0] "Really good UWF Rules bout, Syuri demostrates her MMA background in this and the MVP of Stardom in this year, I hope she wins the World of Stardom this year"
[4.0] "Oh, I didn't like it. I was afraid to watch this match, because not everyone can show a quality hype match, even Syuri, who is a professional athlete. I think first of all I didn't like the kick fest from Konami, because it looks nonsensical. At first after every hard kick(the sound was harsh) Syuri can barely stay on her feet, and it seemed like it should get worse as the match goes on, but no, on the contrary, Syuri starts eating them more with every kick and it gets to the point where Konami spends three kicks to Syuri face even into the block. Basically, that's still okay. It was frustrating to me that at first the match was going well, in a proper, measured style with no nonsense. I've watched about 10 Jester matches, including some not-so-good ones, but I liked this one the least. Moving on. The worst thing about this match was the pancake when they started hitting each other with middlegame picks, it looked really bad because from that point on it started a complete mix of hype and pro wrestling and hell, it looked terrible because the wrestling section of the last 4 minutes looked really bad. No, I don't mean to say it's a priori bad, bad to use it that way. What I liked about the Maeda and Takada matches was that they mixed it up with wrestling by doing the same German suplex, but it looked pretty damn cool because you felt the impact of those moves throughout. This match looked bad and I didn't like it at all. **1/2"
[2.0] "I did not like this one bit. Slow action with Konami especially in the second half moving in slow motion before Syuri dumped her on her head. The UWF rules completely killed any emotion in the match and this was just too MMA for what is supposed to be a wrestling show. Felt like it went on forever."
[8.0] "I really had a lot of fun watching this match with the UWF. They managed to have some good exchanges and builded some nice tension towards the end. I was really hoping Konami could drop the title from Syuri, but she is unbeatable until her match against Utami. Love the respect at the end."
[8.0] "This was a really well-paced and well-booked UWF rules match, with the first five minutes flying by like a breeze. The match had a Pancrase vibe to it, and won't be a match that everyone will love, but I liked it a lot. The thing is though, due to the briefcase stipulation, the drama wasn't nearly as high as it could have been. The 3-1 comeback was predictable due to that. The final minutes when it was tied and down to the final point were really good with some really stiff strikes, and the finish and aftermath were awesome. Syuri with the short haircut, a throwback to her earlier days and her MMA career were cool. But the match, while really good, could have been amplified so much if it were for the SWA title only and there was even a shred of a possibility of an upset. That's what separates this match from being an 8 and being a 9. Sometimes less is more, and if the briefcase stipulation wasn't a part of this match, it would've elevated the whole thing for me. ***3/4"

As far as UWF rules matches go, this is one of the best ones to take place in the last several years. Both Konami and Syuri wrestle perfect styles for this kind of match. ****"
[9.0] "This right here was PHENOMENAL. One of my favorite women's matches of the year. The stipulation was done to perfection by two of the best in the world at the technical style. The kicks were vicious, the grappling was extremely smooth and the various submissions used were all great and applied in a way that felt like they really hurt. Amazing. Also, Syuri looks great with short hair! ****1/2"
