10 | 10.04.2025 | Keithnelson18 | 7.0 | I thought the match was solid, I didn't watch the entire Hangman story arc, but I can tell already that this was a perfect conclusion to his story. The match at times was good, but there were also moments where it felt dull and nothing happened for like a couple of minutes. I really wanted to like this a lot, but for me, this was just a solid match and nothing more. |

13 | 01.04.2025 | MeMyselfandKai | 10.0 | One of my favorite matches of all time. The conclusion to the Hangman's Tale. With every coming full circle from Hangman/Kenny vs The Bucks at Revolution but also from the very start of AEW. |
14 | 30.03.2025 | Bongo | 10.0 | If you had to pick one story, one match, one moment to signify the peak of AEW throughout its entire history, it would be this. The culmination of a nearly 3 year long journey executed to perfection. To this day, Hangman's Tale is still AEW's magnum opus. The story of a man who lost everything, including himself, rising to the top and finally being accepted by people who love him. The Elite pulled off something truly special with this story. All the praise for the storytelling should in no way take away from the amazing match either. This match was a classic, and I don't doubt that Kenny and Hangman are proud to call it the finale of their incredible feud. Kenny competing like this with the amount of injuries he had is unbelievable. The strikes were stiff, the moves were crisp, and there was purpose behind every little thing they did. Kenny's limp body literally being held up by Hangman's at one point was a perfect visual, symbolising the dynamic of Hangman always being the one to bring success to their team in big matches. Towards the end of the match, the Bucks come out, two people who are as integral to this story as Kenny and Hangman. Maybe as a result of Hangman's remorse from a few days before, or maybe for another reason, instead of trying to stop their former friend, they just watch. Matt gives a nod of approval, and Hangman hits the Buckshot Lariat on Kenny to become AEW World Champion. After all this time, the Bucks finally second Hangman. The new champion celebrates, and when the Dark Order offers him a beer, he throws it to the side and embraces them instead, having found what he really needed all along. One of the most beautiful stories I've ever experienced, in wrestling or otherwise. *****+ |

56 | 15.10.2024 | celticinvader | 10.0 | The match that cemented Hangman Adam Page as perhaps the greatest homegrown talent AEW ever had. Such a triumphant feeling moment, Page getting the green light from the Bucks to finally put away the egotistical bad guy. Match went 30 minutes and felt like 15. Absolutely wonderful sequences, counters and kick outs with that 2.99 Omega kick out ranking among the best ever. Also love that not once did Page use any heelish tactics to win here. Thats true cowboy shit. |

66 | 11.09.2024 | thedr7q | 9.0 | The saga of Hangman vs Omega is a 10/10 classic, but this match wasn't. It was spectacular, and considering the pain we now know Omega was in throughout his title reign, I'm amazed it was this good. One of the things talked about online that I hoped would happen in the match, was that Hangman should have been the 2nd person ever to kick out of the One Winged Angel. |
67 | 10.09.2024 | 12psi | 9.0 | A really fantastic match from two top-notch wrestlers, with Omega showing up battered for a pretty brutal context chock full of wild spots, tough bumps, and just phenomenal narrative work to help advance a fantastic feud, though I do think the match could've been somewhat better paced. |
68 | 10.09.2024 | Joe907 | 10.0 | This was a very good match. The in-ring action was great. The storytelling was very good. They had great in-ring chemistry. This was one of the biggest storylines in AEW history. They had an excellent match. |

73 | 03.09.2024 | bookbag5 | 9.0 | Very good match despite a Kenny Omega being held together by duct tape. The story is certainly there with a good, though rushed, final sequence. This could've been better and actually might have benefitted with a longer runtime but I understand why they wouldn't want to do that with the state Kenny was in. Nice end to Kenny's title reign, a deserved win for Hangman. [****3/4] |

90 | 14.07.2024 | Bayesian | 9.0 | It's a phenomenal match, and as good an end to Kenny Omega's title reign as we could get with his injuries at the time (he had hernia and knee surgery in the 9 months between this match and his next). It's not a 10 for me because it's only 25 minutes between two guys who have the potential to give a much longer match (when not injured, of course), and I think the ending could have been a little more dramatic. I didn't see the pin coming after the second buckshot lariat; I thought there would be more build and another pinning attempt by Omega before the eventual Hangman win. |

97 | 25.06.2024 | justabag | 8.0 | after my first watch, i thought this match was buns. completely overhyped with a very predictable finish, coming back to rewatch it i definitely feel as if it is still somewhat overrated but not as much as i thought before. the finish is predictable but welcomed. i liked the stuff with the young bucks at the end, although it left me longing for more. felt like due to kenny's injuries at the time this match just couldn't hit the fifth gear it so desperately needed. a feel good moment after a pretty decent match. 8.5/10 |
