[8.0] "That was a physical match and a lot of fun to watch with the right guy getting the win. Another great match on this show. It seems like every Danielson match gets around four stars or higher as long as he gets a certain amount of time. The story worked with Miro using the power spots, he kept fighting out of Bryan's submissions and then Bryan managed to find a way to win with the DDT off the ropes leading to the tight headlock for the submission win."
[7.0] "Not my type of match, honestly. It was fine for what they were going for, but the whole "mat wrestling" thing is just so dull in today's world. And I've never been much of a Rusev fan anyways."
[8.0] "Bryan's just a really good wrestler. There were some things that could have been cleaner, but this was a good solid number one contenders match, right guy won, used the story of Miro's weak neck. My only argument is that I wanted to see even more Bryan submission offense, as that was the most compelling part of the match for me, but all in all it was a good solid PPV match, though nothing ultimately that ultra spectacular."
[8.0] "That Danielson fella ain't bad is he? Told a very simple but effective David vs Goliath story, executed to near perfection by the best technical wrestler in the world and a very underrated big man in Miro. Stiff and slow, but with a grit and brutality to it that made every chop feel electric and have everything making sense. I adored the finish, too, It's very rare you see a ref's decision finish that works, but they pulled it off."
[8.0] "(Grade:B+) An very ejoyable powerhouse vs. technician match, Miro overpowering Danielson, having Danielson try to out strike and use his speed in a match between two solid performers!"
[7.0] "Just an alright, hard-hitting match that never reached a crazy level. Danielson performed very well technically, as usual. A standard heel-vs-face bout that focused more on the pacing and dynamic rather than lots of cool moves. [3.5]"
[9.0] "You got Miro the powerhouse and then youve got Danielson the techniker, they both delivered ! I think its one of the best Miros performances I had to see, he did his best to weaken and put Bryan away, he dominated a big part of this fight! Danielson would overcome him with a big tornado DDT off the top knocking Miro out !"
[8.0] "This wasn't as good as Danielson vs. Suzuki or Danielson vs. Kingston but it was still a great hard-hitting match: Miro looked very good as he traded strikes with one of the best strikes in the buisness and in general his offense looked great and he had some great dispalys of strenght. Danielson delivered another great perfomance, he had a great comeback and made hif opponent look very good. The action was good with some great counters here and there and a fantastic ending with the top rope ddt/guillotine choke combo. 8/10 - 4*/5*"
[8.0] "I thought this was a really great match. Miro and Danielson worked incredibly well together and though I didn't care for the finish the first time I watched it, I like it a lot more now. ****"
[6.0] "Good match but not as good as Danielsons other matches in Aew, was one of the slower matches of the night and went a tad long, Miro looked great for his size and came off like a monster"
[9.0] "Great match between Danielson and Miro here which once again exceeded my expectations to an unimaginable degree as although for me Bryan Danielson is one of the greatest in history if not the greatest and was on absolute fire during the start of his AEW run, I absolutely did not expect him to pull off such an incredible match from Miro. Only he could pull off something so special with Miro, that's how much better he is than anyone in this business because it was seriously awesome. Rusev/Miro can have good matches when he wants to, he's had them with Styles, Reigns, Allin and Guevara before this one but it never got past the 'good match' stage. Here it was much more than that, I remember live I didn't like it too much but watching it again in more detail my opinion totally changes. The twenty minutes are well paced, the action is fluid, what is told between the ropes is interesting with Miro attacking the arm and Danielson the leg. Miro's raw edge mixed with Danielson's fighting spirit is a perfect match. Again, it had no reason to be so phenomenal so kudos to them."
[7.0] "This is by far the weakest Danielson match so far in his AEW run, which isn't to say it was bad, it was just 'meh'. Pretty forgettable, but nothing bad by any means."
[7.0] "Personally I thought it was one of Bryan Danielson's weakest fights in AEW, however Miro didn't show off enough either, it already seemed weird to see the two of them fight in a ring because of the difference in styles they have, but hey, at least it was something pretty decent even if it wasn't what I expected."
[6.0] "This began really well with Miro being established as the stronger man, brushing of Bryan? s strikes with not much trouble but as the match settled in a rhythm, it simmered down in quality. Miro? s character work and selling was rock solid and Bryan doesn? t put much foot wrong in execution but there was something sluggish and plodding about this. Perhaps an off night? This felt like an old Ring of Honor Bryan performance where he does everything well but there is something lacking. What? I dunno. This had a great finish though (ddt off the second rope into a guillotine choke). Bryan faces Page or Omega! ***"
[8.0] "At the time of Full Gear, I genuinely thought Miro was going to win. But now, I'm glad Danielson won. We got to have Danielson vs Hangman which was just an amazing feud. The match was good too."
[4.0] "Danielson has been on the run of a lifetime in AEW and Miro was revitalized with the Destroyer gimmick. Both of them encountered each other with a weirdly boring and slow match that seemed to take forever to really get into the next gear, and then it just ended. Even the crowd seemed a little soft for this although they did perk up near the end. In hindsight, it's clear that this match was this way due to Miro's injury which is unfortunate but still, not a great match."
[7.0] "It felt like it was going to be a very good match between Miro and Danielson, but I think it ended too suddenly which is a shame since their styles meshed so well. (***3/4)"
[8.0] "This was as hard-hitting and brutal as you would expect with these two competitors involved. Miro's power and Danielson's technical ability meshed well. And when you take in consideration that Miro's taped leg was actually hurt, they skillfully wrestled around it."
[9.0] "A damn good match, a great David vs Goliath kind of fight. Miro looked so impressive here, just dominating Danielson toward the start, but the longer the match went on the more it favored Danielson, who's endurance is without comparison. Miro was an amazing heel here, his brutality and arrogance coupled with Bryan's incredible underdog fire served to make this a very compelling match. The ending seemed a bit off, it looked like it occurred far too early given that Miro was only locked in the guillotine for a second or two before the ref called for the bell, but even so this was a great match. ****1/4"
[6.0] "Grossly overrated. The 7.53 cagematch rating is high but the 4.5* stars from Davey M is just ridiculous, not even close in my opinion. A decent to good match but nothing more than that. The Miro character just isn't doing anything for me, he didn't come off as this imposing, dominating wrestler. Then the pace of the match was just too slow and was even boring at times. ***1/4"
[8.0] "Simple story with Danielson trying to chop down the larger man using his technique and Miro making him pay dearly for it. Wicked strikes, fiery comebacks, and believable offense. My only gripe is that a went a tad too long for what they were going for. ***3/4"
[8.0] "Smartly worked wrestling match between the big powerhouse and the technical wrestler. The finish wasn't good in my opinion, but the action that came before it was really good, with some great psychology to boot. [****]"
[8.0] "I feel like Miro and Danielson could have a more fast-paced match. I liked the methodical style of it but there were so many breaks that went on a bit too long. I liked the ending although it could have been executed better. ***3/4"
[9.0] "As a fan of shoot-style and technical wrestlnig, I saw two men taking their time and put some impactful strikes to the other. Maybe some sequences lacked of big intensity but men they went to war. Miro being dominant was a good part of the storytelling as Danielson had to pute some big hits to stay in the flow. That was an alpha contest as I liked every second of it."
[9.0] "This match had amazing storytelling, and Bryan is amazing at selling and getting over the "small guy" dynamic. He made Miro look amazing. My personal favorite Miro/Rusev match."
[7.0] "I expected something like Eddie vs Danielson match, but it was kinda mediocre. Result was obvious for me, I don't know what Miro will do next several months. I'm so excited about Bryan vs Adam match, it can become an all-time classic."
[8.0] "Expected this to be contender for motn, and it was barely top 5. More of a testament to the other matches that this. Good hard hitting battle. Ending wasn't as smooth as it should have been, but it made sense. Shocked Bryan won tbh, Miro deserves better. ****"
[5.0] "This is a weird match, their style don't mesh well with one another , which was surprising. This was kinda plodding, and also dragging at times. Easily Bryan worst match in quite some time. **3/4"
[6.0] "Maybe I just had way too high expectations for this considering how great Danielson has been and how great Miro's character has evolved, but this fell really flat, and the crowd didn't seem into it for a good portion. I think they could both do much better."
[10.0] "Best match in Miro's career. Last few minutes had a twist on storytelling that isn't very common in pro-wrestling, but I really, really liked it."
[10.0] "Fantastic bout, two of my favorite guys in AEW and they delivered something great here, I cannot complain about it whatsoever, really well done match."
[7.0] "This was a good, hard-hitting affair between two great talents. The first half was really plodding with Miro's work on top being uninteresting, but it picked up a ton in the second half, with some great submission exchanges. The finish was kind of a surprise, and Danielson winning is questionable booking in my opinion. Putting your most over babyface, and the new champion in Adam Page against another top babyface in Bryan isn't a great way to go for Page's first feud. That aside, I enjoyed this but felt maybe it would have been better as like a 10-12 minute sprint. [***1/2]"
[7.0] "Pretty good match. I was kind not into the match in the first half, becuause it felt slow. But, they made up for it in the later half. Miro was looking like a monster and Bryan still runs strong on his hot winning streak."
[7.0] "Two of the best wrestlers in AEW, if not the world. And while it was not the classic some were hoping it would be, it certainly established why this should not be the end. Bryan Danielson is one of the kings of underdog wrestling and Miro has really come into his own as a character. That created some fantastic striking sequences from Danielson and the type of character work by Miro that helps tie a story together. Really hoping we see this again. 3.5 stars, 7 out of 10."
[7.0] "This match started REALLY slowly, but when it finally got going it became a hell of a fight. These two could have had an amazing 10 minute match, but at 20 it was just a bit padded."
[7.0] "I think these two could have done a better match but obviously this wasn't the original build, and Bryan has been working long matches non stop lately so its inevitable that the matches will feel less special."
[7.0] "Decent match, though not so memorable compared to the rest of the show. Still, Miro looks like a star, and Danielson is absolutely incredible in the ring."
[8.0] "Great match that had a glaring problem: The length. Miro excells in 10-15 minute matches, he doesn't have the moveset or the sense of match building and escalation to go this long, even with someone like Bryan. He's still great doing those 12 minute Dynamite matches as I said, just don't have him go 20 minutes on a PPV because chances are it won't be as good as those Dynamite main events. Danielson is incredible and I can't wait for him vs Hangman. ****"
[5.0] "Unfortunatelly I wasn't at all into this match. The end itself is pretty out of nowhere. I think it's a satisfactory match with not a perfect booking."
[7.0] "This match really didn't meet my expectations for it going in. I am just not sure they had the chemistry and probably the weakest big match of Danielsons tenure in AEW ***1/2"
[6.0] "One of Danielson's lesser matches since his return. This match looked interesting on paper because Danielson is exceptional when going against someone bigger than him but this was underwhelming. Miro was a decent powerhouse but his work on top just wasn't very interesting. There was no real hook to any of it. Danielson definitely kept the match together with his typically good striking and technical counters. Miro had a taped up leg but Danielson didn't target it once so I'm assuming it's a legit injury. The final minutes were pretty exciting with the submission drama and I do love the story of Danielson winning all of his matches in a different way. Although this time around his top rope DDT was clunky and the guillotine win didn't feel earned. So a bit awkward there and the crowd seemed out of it several times. Overall it was a solid/good match but felt basic and like a match you'd see in WWE. ***1/4"
