[10.0] "4.75 Stars - This match fucking rocked, there chemistry was unbelievable and probably the best Ospreay match since the return from the injury. Ospreay goes out of his way to make scotty look like this amazing at only 21 years old. hands down the best European match with Davis taking big beating and Ospreay understanding of working big time main events is 2nd to none and it shows in a match like this. The crowd also made this with despite the small size, sounded thunderous"
[5.0] "Typical Ospreay big match. I'll try to quickly explain to you why Ospreay is a terrible heel. Even as a face, he works better, though you could argue where he's more annoying. I mean, the main idea behind the heal is to make the face look like a star, but Ospreay has done nothing but steal attention on himself the entire match, destroying Davis morally. Honestly, I never understood what Davis' thing was, because he didn't stand out in any way. I don't want to offend anyone, these are my impressions from one match. The guys worked each other's bodies for a considerable amount of time, but it made very little sense. It's strange to see such disrespect for the selves from two British wrestlers. What happens in the match is that the wrestlers forget the basics along the way. That is, at first they do something, some basics they remember, but then it's like they get into the spotfest craze at its worst and you get this match. One of the final sequences is definitely one of their worst things about this match, because that very "deadly" Ospreay elbow became nothing! They just had a feast of reversals a minute after Scotty was just about knocked out cold. And this whole series went on for a very long time, about two minutes, and it was non-stop. Men, I'm embarrassed to see that after watching Bill Robinson matches. The only thing I wondered was, had he had enough! This is an odd match even by the standards of a popcorn match that you will watch and forget in a minute. ***"
[6.0] "Not the worst match with good in-ring work, but with very mediocre storytelling and psychology. They wanted to show Davis strong, but everything was limited to a constant exchange of movements without selling for 25 minutes, so I was completely not involved in what was happening"
[10.0] "Quite possibly the best European match of the year. Ospreay once again proves he's one of the best pro wrestlers to ever step foot on a ring, Scotty Davis has no right to be that good at 21 years old. The Package Piledriver spot was incredible."
[7.0] "I guess this match was about trying to portray Davis as someone who's really good and gonna be at the top one day, but Ospreay is just the best atm. Crowd chanted for Davis after the match, so I guess he got over in defeat as they wanted. At the same time, they really tried to get that crowd going which is why this match was a little all over the place in the middle, and they were loud, but OTT crowd is different now, it looked small even on camera."
[9.0] "This match was great. Ospreay for how much of a knob he can be, is still one of my favorite people to watch in the ring. That Scotty Davis kid (he's younger than me fuckin hell) is going places, he was phenomenal here. ****1/2"
"Great match. Package piledriver from Will Ospreay was so good. That match open Scotty for me, young and realy talented wrestler, and Will is incredible like always ****3/4"
[8.0] "I have to say, it's fantastic to see OTT back with a thunderous crowd, and I'm really digging Ospreay's heel persona. He's more aggressive in the ring, and the big spots are usually spaced-out a little more so they have maximum impact. One small thing I didn't understand here was the countout spot where Ospreay narrowly gets counted out. This is a spot that should be reserved for the babyface challenger because it doesn't work when the heel Champion does it. It doesn't make sense that Davis would want to win via countout when he can't win the title that way; he should have broken up the count. Also, the fans should be rooting for the wrestler to make it into the ring to break the count, so by putting Ospreay in that position, you are making it so that the fans are now rooting for the heel."
[10.0] "Fantastic Match between Billy and Scotty Davis. I haven't seen that much of Davis but he always impresses me and he will grow over time to one of the best UK Wrestlers in the world. Ospreay looked the best in a very long time here. (**** 1/2)"
[9.0] "Could you believe Scotty was born in December 2000 and he is still under the age of 21' When you realize how young he is, you would be more shocked by his performance. Of course he isn't as good as Ospreay, but he is the future of European Wrestling. As for Ospreay, this is the best match he had since he came back from the injury, but considering how incredible he is, this isn't so impressive for him. I hope there will be a full recovered Ospreay in Wrestle Kingdom."
[10.0] "In my review of his match against Rocky Romero from last month, I said that Ospreay was becoming too over the top and cartoonish in his demeanor while wrestling outside New Japan. Well, he made me eat crow with this match. Here, he was dead serious and straight up brutal the whole way through, laying in nasty kicks on the smaller Scotty Davis. Although he is nowhere near Ospreay's level (to be fair, practically no one is) Davis did well for himself and fired up at the perfect moments. Fantastic match. ****3/4"
[9.0] "Phenomenal match between Ospreay and Davis in what was a real treat for me to see Scotty Davis back between the ropes, he who had been completely forgotten about due to this pandemic and only just made his return a few weeks ago along with OTT. Quite surprised to see his look from now on because before he was someone with hair always well cut and his famous moustache, he kept the latter and let his hair grow and I think it makes him much more charismatic than before. Before this pandemic he was seen as an Irish talent who was going to follow in the footsteps of Finn Bálor and Jordan Devlin but the fact that he's gone during more than a year has made everyone forget about him so I hope it doesn't damage his career but after all he's still very young. He obviously had the best singles match of his young career here, he really shone and Ospreay was amazing in this heel role too. A fantastic match with great wrestling and two guys playing their characters perfectly, this was great."
