[7.0] "Good slugfest match. Lot of good striking and power moves. A few of the moves and sequences looked off to me which I would not expect with these two. Overall still a really good match"
[8.0] "Quite a hoss-fight where Drake can do what he can't in an AEW ring. He was really credible against King. Big slugfest with impactful strikes, lariats and everything who come with it. Both dudes showed great resilience. Big dads giving a tough beating to the other. Cool finish moreover."
[8.0] "A hard hitting slug-fest, a battle of chops and lariats and a test of toughness, endurance and perseverance. This was a clash of tow big behemoths and they certainly delivered. The chests of both these warriors had welts and bruises on them, such was the intensity and impact of the vile and blistering exchanges mainly the chops. The finish was great too with Brody laying JD down for good with two consecutive thunderous lariats. My favorite spot here was Brody flattening JD with him seated on the chair tied with JD throwing him onto the ropes and as he rebounded he meets a nasty looking lariat. Awesome match overall. ****1/4"
[8.0] "A very enjoyable, stiff big man brawl. They just went crazy with the strikes on this, especially stuff like Drake bouncing King from the bottom rope into an elbow while they were on the outside. They went a bit overboard on the nearfalls given the length of the match but it's still a great time. ***3/4"
[6.0] "This was a fine match between two powerhouses that I like, but I could expect better from Brody King and JD Drake here. Some stiff sequences inside and outside of the ring and also a cool finish, but they could do more. ***1/4"
[7.0] "Great battle of the giants that did not establish the roles of face and heel very well but that offered us violence and entertainment, the two applied brutal chops and over time they went from the hard style to something more spoty and agile but staying in the classic style of the Power House. ***1/2"
[7.0] "Brody King had made great strides in the ring lately. He could be hit and miss but working in ROH surrounded by our professionals and helped smooth out most of the rough edges he had. King knew when to strike and when to brawl, and most of all how to escalate all that into a compelling story. I loved the moment in the match where Brody King threw a chair full force into JD Drake's face. The spot isn't fresh but it felt very spontaneous and very much in the moment unlike most times that happens. JD Drake was somewhat along for the story but he was solid as an opponent, throwing in some good spots himself. JD Drake hit his impressive moonsault to a great nearfall but, like a heavyweight clash should, this ended with Brody King hitting a short arm lariat for the three. ***1/4"
[8.0] "Another very cool undercard match between Drake and King here in what was one of the most anticipated matches on the card as I love both wrestlers and was sure that seeing these two guys at work would result in something really interesting, glad to see that my hunch was right because these twelve minutes were of very good quality from start to finish. If you come to this match with the idea of seeing these two guys beat the crap out of each other in front of a PWG crowd on absolute fire for everything they do... well, that's what you'll see. They simply delivered the match I expected from them and I could watch them kick the shit out of each other's upper bodies for an hour and I wouldn't get tired of it. The format was cool because they had time to do what they wanted, and it was just a lot of fun overall."
