[8.0] "Really good, Naruse was great here, showing a mix of confidence and flashy stuff and Volk was Volk just an absolute wizard on the mat. Really nice finish too."

[6.0] "This match overcomes most of the issues I had with their previous ones where Han completely outclasses Naruse on the mat and while he sort of does in the early goings, they do enough to make Naruse surviving look realistic. Naruse even gets his own extended armbar that Han uses as a trademark and a standing version he forward flips out of which I'm not sure would actually work but it looked neat. He pushes Han on the mat enough to not make it look entirely ridiculous but Naruse's advantages are in the standing game as well as getting thrown over the top rope to give Han a yellow card. The submission Han wins with looks insane too, match definitely had it's ups and downs but filled with cool looking shit."

[7.0] "Naruse looked pretty good against Volk, got some nice strikes in and even some flashier moves you dont see that often in RINGS. Volk was on fire tho, and Naruse just couldn't match his submission game. Solid match, nothing amazing, but worth a watch"

[8.0] "Volk Han is on fire in late 1996, and he delivers another fantastic match here with Masayuki Naruse. Naruse looks very confident himself and comes out immediately looking to prove his worth against Volk Han. Han was the much more dominant wrestler in their previous encounters, but Naruse looks more polished here and Han quickly finds out as Naruse knocks him down a few times in the match and gets him to his last down. Han throws some sick suplexes/reversals in this match, and Naruse pulls out some slick tricks of his own, finding ways out of Han's standing armbar attempts several times. This felt like a pro-style match at times, but that didn't bother me as the action was very fluid and still maintained credibility. Han pulls out another sick finish at the end. Fun match. ****1/2"
