Sting vs. Vampiro

[2.0] "Mediocre brawl to start, improved by Sting doing a few high rope moves. Common WCW theme of too many weapons for little to no reason, starts out with a baseball bat for sting and Vampiro uses a lead pipe for some reason. Vampiro had a great chop, which got much more interest from the crowd than the weapons. Pure brawl, not a single wrestling move outside of an atomic drop and an incredibly awkward top rope powerbomb. Sting does the Stinger splash with the lead pipe and then goes for the scorpion death drop while vampiro thinks he's doing a suplex. No chemistry between the two. Sting has to do another scorpion death drop after to get any response from the fans since Vampiro and him botched the finish pretty badly. Rough match, but shockingly underbooked. 2/10 stars"

[4.0] "Vampiro charges down the aisle and eats ball bat. There are way too many baseball bat props in this show. Into the ring, Sting hits a missile dropkick, and tosses him out, and follows with a plancha. Sting with a DDT on the floor. Back in, Vampiro rallies with a lariat off the top. He finds a lead pipe and beats down Sting. Vamp tries a rana, but gets power bombed on the way down. Two Stinger splashes and two death drops finish it. One of their better outings."

[4.0] "Another match that wasn't billed as a no-DQ match which again made it confusing. Technically a clean finish, which was a rarity, but not much of a match really."

[3.0] "Lots of strikes and weapon shots. Awkward positioning for the first of the Scorpion Death Drops, but other than that, Vampiro was beaten pretty decisively."

[2.0] "A match by standard rules and they hit each other between the legs and foreign objects in front of the referee' Seriously' It immediately caught the eye as complete crap. There are no complaints about the match itself, given its timing, just ordinary nothing more."

[3.0] "Hey two people with face paint, they should fight! Actually these guys never had any chemistry, Sting wasn't really in good shape at this time and Vamp is not the type to carry him. I'll say this, this match is better than their other encounters at least."
