This was also my first CHIKARA experience & I was amazed by the product here. I came to see what a young Orange Cassidy, Drew Gulak, & Chuck Taylor looked like just trying to make a name for themselves. I never expected to adore The Colony gimmick as much as I did at the end of it all. They played into it with absolute perfection. Everything from their chemistry, to their moveset, to their animations was so ridiculously superb. Feels like a crime that I had went 15 years as wrestling fan without having any knowledge about this tag team. This match in particular is paced beautifully. All participants really do a wonderful job at working the crowd throughout the entirety of the bout. They had them eating out of the palm of their hands from bell to bell. They really knock things into full gear once the Remsburg bump takes place. That was immediately followed up by one of my personal favorite spots in this match...That nasty looking awful waffle that Chuckie T gives Soldier Ant through the table off the ring apron was straight up bonkers. It genuinely looks like Taylor really hurts himself here. If so, then it had to of been a tailbone injury & I have no earthly idea how he gets up to go another 20 minutes. If he was completely fine then that's even crazier. I've never been sold on injuries like that. Hats off to The Kentucky Gentleman! Anyways, this was a whirlwind of emotions from the onset. The whole thing was capped off by a standing ovation which nearly brought me to tears. These guys love each other with their whole hearts & they seem to all share a quite beautiful moment after the pinfall. To have that taking place while the entire building is showering them with love had to be an all time moment for these warriors. Excellent match. 10/10 |

I dont know why, it's my first time seeing the colony and I fucking love the gimmick. they both wrestled with such charisma here. chuck Taylor and icarus played well off them. I dont know the members of both groups that weren't in the match but still had a hand in it but they were great too. normally I dont like outside distractions but the story telling here was superb. great chemistry with great spots and everything looked smooth and fluid. really can't go wrong with calling this one of the greatest tag bouts out there. I also think the hair shaving segment after really had some charm to it |

But I think no clash was more climactic than this one. FIST had recently injured the original Worker Ant, putting him out of the business, and things escalated to see both teams put themselves a line in an all out confrontation. This was just as great as I remember it being from watching it years ago, a quintessential Chikara bout. Things start to get extremely wild when Bryce gets bumped and Chuck hits one of the craziest moves I have seen, an Awful Waffle piledriver off the top down through a table on the floor, which sends Soldier Ant to the back. Fire Ant is left alone to protect the Colony's masks, and with Gran Akuma interceding from outside all seems lost, with the newly debuted Green Ant able to do little to help thanks to his inexperience. The crowd is living and dying on every exchange and damn near explodes when Soldier Ant stumbles his way back to the ring, an old trope but a great one with perfect execution. The action escalates to a wild finish, with the first appearance of Carpenter Ant finally eliminating the threat of Gran Akuma and the Colony scratching and clawing their way to a victory in front of an adoring crowd. Definitely one of the best in company history. |

Das Match nimmt an Dramatik zu nach dem Omega Driver vom Seil durch den Tisch nach draußen gegen Soldier Ant. Der 2:1 Beat Down, ein erstes heißes Comeback, erneuter Beatdown, erneutes Comeback und die Rückkehr von Soldier Ant. Kling einfach, war auch so aber die Ausführung im Ring und die Reaktionen waren absolut stark. Da wir hier bei CHIKARA sind, werden die Stips sofort umgesetzt wobei die Rudos ihr Schicksal einfach hinnehmen, was ich klasse fand. |
