309.07.2023TSwifty4.0This was one of the best examples of a generic Japanese main event. The in-ring work was technically solid throughout with several strong strikes and power moves, but it was so boring with no intensity or much escalation. Soulless is the best word to describe this match. There's a clear lack of creativity. Kaito's selling was very strong here so that's one of the high points. I hate to sound like it's a bad match because it's not, it's just a soulless puro match. **1/4
417.08.2022hassan018.0A great main event to close the show and in my opinion, the 2nd best match of the tournament just behind Nakajima/Tanaka. The power-hitter and buster-brawler against the young spirited and highly skilled Kaito Kiyomiya who has all the potential to be the future ace of NOAH. Soya dominates the opening moments and targets the back of Kiyomiya slowing down the pace to his will. Soya's technical soundness is not very apparent in previous encounters but fortunately, here he is provided with the opportunity to showcase it and I found it to be excellent. Kaito fights from under and is pushed to the cliff edge but continues fighting to have his flurry of offense and rushes of adrenaline in order to turn the tide to his favor but is unable to do so however the momentum is building up. They also engage in hard-hitting exchanges with Soya using the forearms while Kaito utilizes a combination of uppercuts and elbow shots. Kaito then indulges and embroils into a battle against adversity and the final phase is centered around him trying to connect with the lethal weapon i.e 'dragon suplex' but Soya smartly avoids danger, which can be described as the red light. There were many suplexes and a super-plex too. Overall, liked it a lot and the booking was right with Kaito going over. The match felt dragged as it could have down better if they trimmed a few minutes off but regardless, it was still a refreshing and enjoyable encounter. Kaito's selling was great too. His drop-kicks are marvelous and is a full package. Soya stepped up to the occasion too proving that he is not some third-wheel in Kongo but rather a capable member of the stable who kicked ass here but against Kaito's rock-solid determination came up a bit short. ****1/4
530.03.2022jboyaquar7.0I far more enjoy watching babyface Kiyomiya fight-against punishing power-based bruisers like Soya than bleeding everywhere against trash competitors like jiggalo Nosawa. I admit that the inclusion of a bloody saga is an entity that should be checked-off for any good-guy, but did Kaito's need to-be against Rongai. No this isn't Shingo/Ishii, but this is a sturdy and believable all-action struggle between two guys who continue to have good matches with each other & one that Kaito can believably win without making me roll-my-eyes. 3 3/10 - 1/3 rounded-up for their chemistry

709.12.2021GonzoAppreciator7.0While this match was pretty good, it felt way too slow and long. It could have been a lot better if they shaved 5-6 minutes off and picked up the pace a little. Though having said that, I still liked a lot of the moves/sequences these guys were pulling off. Also, I liked Kiyomiya's new look, I prefer the old gold hair and green/white trunks but he still looks cool here.

2619.09.2021SpikeWithGlasses7.0A good match, not a huge fan of Kiyomiya's aesthetic change, but he added some moves, things looked more vicious, Soya looked good, but same old Soya, a good match, could've used a 20 minute match instead of 25, but that's fine.
2719.09.2021boymeetsworld8.0Kiyomiya now wrestles in dark long tights and has darker hair, but Soya didn't care about that, he just wanted to beat the shit out of him. He was destroying Kiyomiya for a while in the beginning, but Kiyomiya persevered, made a big comeback, then survived another burst of energy from Soya before putting Soya away with a Tiger Suplex. ****

2919.09.2021pierreMinne7.0It was a really cool match to me but it clearly didn't need to last this long. Soya had some good powerhouse domination, some great strikes and Kiyomiya's selling was always interesting. Logically, Kiyomiya won since it's by beating Soya that he stopped his losing streak. ***1/4

3319.09.2021Milquetoast9.0Match of the tournament at the moment. This was a great match between Soya who is the powerhouse and Kiyomiya who has the youthful energy. Kaito has a new look and gear that I think fit him. There was stiff shots and then the well built comeback and finishing stretch. Good match. 9/10
3419.09.2021segaofmyhouse9.0Great match up here and well worth it's 25 minute time length, they used the time to great effect and built to an excellent finishing stretch. There was some good work early on from Manabu Soya who seemed to have a violent answer to every question Kiyomiya threw at him. Kaito's new gear isn't great and his knee pads seemed to be falling off at times, but I welcome the change from his plain babyface persona. Hopefully as the tournament goes on he can channel more of a dark side and kick Keiji Mutoh's ass.
3519.09.2021CFOS4.0NOAH N-1 Victory 2021 : That match is definitely not my cup of tea. I found this match so long with pretty much nothing in it and it's maybe because i saw Ishii vs Shingo before. That was painful to watch. Nothing put me on the match. Btw Kaito has a changed look. CFØS Ratings: **
3619.09.2021Childofthelost9.0Match of the tournament so far. They told a story as old as wrestling itself, speed and prowess Vs raw power, and it was great. Some stiff shots and power moves from Manabu to shine up Kaito, and some good return fire from Kaito with good counters and strikes for his comeback. Ran 25 minutes but felt like only 10. 9/10
