[6.0] "This wasn't as bad as the rating would lead you to believe. It was mostly fine brawling. The LOD continue down the path of being a shell of their former selves. Remember when they just ran into the ring and decimated mother fuckers? That's no longer the case."
"[5.5] Decent opening match. LoD received a huge pop, especially after Hawk finally got the tag. Each member of the Nation got to showcase a little in this match."
[6.0] "*** (6/10) The only match on the card (aside from the main event) that was above mediocrity, though, there are observers who would place it in a low-star range. I gave it three, which may be being generous, but I didn't hate it as much as the many marks that trash a fight because it isn't what they want."
[6.0] "I'm not big on handicap matches, but I thought they did a good job with this match to be honest given it was changed on the fly. LOD wasn't at their peak at that point but the crowd was really invested in them and they got a strong showing here in defeat. Nation are refreshing to watch without Faarooq there with The Rock in his first PPV match since joining as well as Kama and D'Lo really getting to shine and they look like a well oiled machine with the way they dominate Animal for so long and and use the numbers fully to their advantage. You could see some strong character work in The Rock's performance as well. Crowd are well into it when Hawk gets the hot tag and almost gets the upset until Faarooq interferes."
[7.0] "I really liked it, mostly because of Nation of Domination's fantastic heel work and the chemistry between all three guys. Rocky was the main star of the whole bout and you could see him really coming out of the shell for the first time. He worked the crowd fantastically and his body language alongside facial expressions were great. The crowd was into it and the final minutes got huge pops with Legion of Doom making their comeback. Underrated match that served its purpose and nicely put NoD and The Rock over."
[4.0] "A fine opener, with the Legion of Doom still popular, but that also served to put the Nation over as despicable heels as they eventually used their numbers advantage to win. There is not a lot more to say about it, a pretty standard PPV curtain jerker. Inoffensive, but not spectacular."
[4.0] "In Rocky's first PPV match since turning heel and joining the Nation, Maivia is looking much more at home riling up the fans than he was when he was desperately trying to portray a white meat babyface. Ken Shamrock was meant to team with LOD, but he's out injured because of Faarooq, so this is now a handicap match. Animal hits a dropkick here and Hawk even busts out an enziguri, but the rare bit of flashy offense from LOD isn't enough to make the match stick out from their other outings from around this time period. The fans still go crazy from them and Animal even make a pitiful attempt at selling as the Nation work over him during the hot tag segment. The LOD finally get their hands on Rocky and just as they have him set up for the Doomsday Device, Faarooq appears and Rocky is able to hit the still unnamed Rock Bottom to win."
[3.0] "Shamrock was supposed to team with LOD but a spine buster from Faarooq had him spitting up blood so he's out. Rocky Maivia has been part of the nation for a few months now and is really starting to find his niche. Hawk no sells a few moves and Animal plays face in peril. LOD go for the doomsday device but Faarooq runs distraction and Rocky gets the ppv debut of the Rock Bottom on Hawk and the pin. Didn't care for it."
[5.0] "Better than a lot of matches involving the LOD at this point, not least because they're fighting against three people - four when Farrooq joins in - so their style makes a bit more sense. There's also a less terrible Nation team than usual, although neither Rocky or Kama Mustafa were in the gimmicks they'd be most known for. Solid but not great."
[5.0] "It was a decent match with some good moments, especially when LOD was on fire and the crowd was going crazy, but my favorite part of this match was at the ending where the crowd went from red hot to dead silent when LOD lost, I thought it was pretty funny."
