[4.0] "A hoss match, but not a very good one. Brian Cage is a better performer, but AEW seems dedicated to Hobbs and Starks, so they get the win. Team Tazz interferes on behalf of Hobbs, ruining any good will in the match and then they just leave. Match wasn't all that great."
[4.0] "This was supposed to be two behemoths slugging it out aggressively rather it was just a transitional set-up for Cage/Starks II. Cage lifting Hobbs up for the top rope suplex and the F10 were the highlights that come out of the content deficient match-up. **1/4"
[10.0] "Uh. Is there something I'm missing here? Why the low rating? I thought this was actually great given how green Hobbs is. Cage is so athletic for his size and Hobbs has so much potential, this was a big hoss match and these two guys can absolutely go with each other. I'm seeing a lot of natural chemistry, all in all this was almost a perfect short match IMO. Can't wait to see more from this feud"
[5.0] "Something missed and hurted the match. I was maybe expecting a big powerhouse brawl and that feel empty. Maybe Cage and Hobbs just sadly dont't click. Ending was well done, the heat on Team Taz is good. Hope they have a rematch, proving they can do way more better."
[6.0] "Once the crowd started to get into it, which was around the time of the dead lift suplex from Cage to Powerhouse, it started becoming more enjoyable. Right guy won, I think."
[5.0] "This never really got out of second gear, but two big meaty men slapping meat is always going to be a fun spectacle. Hobbs has a cool finisher and nice clotheslines, even if the majority of his control segments felt a little lethargic. The finish was really well executed though, and makes me excited to see Cage vs. Ricky Starks further down the line."
[5.0] "Did not feel like a real "Hoss Fight". Should have been a back & forth war. Brian Cage got beat up way too long. Typical "Babyface takes a long beating" match that you always see in North American Mainstream wrestling. Boring match at points. Shenanigans at the end did not help either. Rating for this match **3/4"
[10.0] "I'm genuinely shocked at this rating, this was my favorite match of the night and I had a fantastic time watching it. Two heavy powerhouses duking it out is sometimes exactly what I want to see in pro-wrestling and I thought they did a killer job. Hobbs was slow, I guess? Did you expect him to sprint around like a Young Buck? The timing on the finish was incredible, Starks cracked Cage perfectly with that belt and got a great sound out of it."
[5.0] "It was fine. I don't think either mans' skills was fully shown here tough, I think with more time and with less interference these two could have a much better match."
[6.0] "One of my favourite teams in wrestling but their implosion has been truly underwhelming in the ring. Hobbs' slow beatdown wasn't what this needed, and the bigger meat men moves were too few and far between."
[4.0] "Another truly boring match on this show between Cage and Hobbs, it was a tiny bit better than the match that preceded it but it was hard to do worse so it's not really a huge thing. I don't even know why this match is happening, I don't even know why Brian Cage became a babyface and I don't even know why Cage is still in a rivalry with what's left of Team Taz. Ever since Starks beat him to win the FTW Championship, this feud has been anti-climactic based on pointless vignettes and this match was just as bland. They had a good match last year in the opener of a Dynamite but here it was uninteresting, sloppy and the crowd didn't care at all. Plus the overbooking at the end was so pointless. Cage's booking is mediocre, and Hobbs is not good."
[5.0] "Brian Cage is one of the most incredible athletes in professional wrestling history. The corner offense was absolutely ridiculous from a man his size and his move set always manages to impress. Powerhouse Hobbs is obviously still pretty green, but he has the potential to be a really special talent. This one had its dry moments, but I think that was by design. Two powerhouses throwing haymakers at one another. Another decent match on a solid episode of Dynamite."
[5.0] "Decent match from the AEW Dynamite quality match standards. Happy to see Hobbs gate the victory. A 15min match between those two can really be good."
[5.0] "It was a bit disapointing. I really think they can both go harder, do a better and more entertaining match. Maybe thay didn't have enough time to do what they wanted, but it felted poor. The ending was well done. I can't wait for Cage to beat Starks up."
[3.0] "Standard big men fight that doesn't do anything for either men, except to paraphrase the "I'm big, fear me" trope when this could have tore the place down easily, but is a filler, nothing more."
