Dragon Lee vs. Eli Isom

[6.0] "It's good, but not for me. I feel like Dragon Lee is a mexican born new japan wrestler. He would be a perfect fit for them as a regular. I wish Dragon didn't insist on the no-sell german suplex in every match he is in but otherwise Isom more than held up his end. Even cut a firey babyface promo beforehand"

[7.0] "Great match between two of the more exciting talents in ROH. Isom still needs a bit more seasoning but he has a lot of baby face potential that was very evident here. Lee looked great here as usual."

[8.0] "I wasn't watching much wrestling the past couple years so these pandemic-era empty arena shows/matches are still a little weird to me. That said, I can tell that if a crowd was in the building they would've gone insane for this. This is the first Eli Isom match I've ever seen and he really looked like a million bucks here; while there were a LOT of "adrenaline-fueled no-sell" spots in this match, he had a good amount of intensity for it and the moves he did during these spots looked great (Dragon Lee bumped great for him as well). More importantly, Eli was able to get across the "post-adrenaline rush crash" aspect that those kinds of spots need to work properly and looked DEAD when Lee got him good on a few key moves. Dragon Lee came across as a champion ready for anything but Eli came out of this looking like a future star. Really impressive stuff. I'd also like to say that commentary for this was great; not only going insane for nearfalls in the absence of a crowd, but there were bits where they called nearfalls like it was the finish which I think is a good touch. ***3/4, possibly **** once I get over the circumstance of there being no crowd reaction for anything."

[8.0] "Very good match between Dragon Lee and Eli Isom to conclude this episode of Ring Of Honor, something that is not surprising given that all of Dragon Lee's matches are must-see and even more so his title defenses for the ROH World Television Championship, this was his first singles match since he defeated Tony Deppen at Best In The World to regain his title and he delivered as usual. Excellent performance from him with everything you like to see from a Dragon Lee match, he gave Eli Isom the best match of his young career and it was an excellent competitive bout. Isom was very good, a true fighting challenger who believes in his dreams and fights to the end. Both clicked and gave us a very enjoyable main event with some nearfalls and great things."

[7.0] "A good title match, one that Eli Isom was never likely to win, but it was more about his personal growth, and he put in the best display of his ROH career so far against Dragon Lee. Isom is definitely one for ROH's future."

[7.0] "The match is very good to watch, a more than decent title defense for Dragon Lee. Good one, let's move on."

[7.0] "As said in the previous match, I wasn't quite on the mood, but even then this match was pretty good and I will rewatch. ROH is big on Eli Isom, and I understand, however, I still think he needs some work, with opponents who aren't that good his weakness show up, some moves look bad, some transitions are done sloppy, but Dragon Lee is a great wrestler, who pushed Isom hard, not only hid his weakness but highlighted his strengths. The future can be bright for Isom and this is a glimpse at what we can expect from him in the future."

[9.0] "WHAT A MATCH. The way these two worked together. They had so many awesome high spots that made everyone get off their seats. They had great back and forth action that really kept me invested. This was such a great match, and it was honestly PPV worthy."
