Also, considering Jason Cross' flashy move set, you'd figure that he would've been a more prominent presence in TNA. It looked like Punk hit his head pretty hard in the beginning, or he was just really good at selling even back then. Good opener to get the crowd warmed up."

Kid Romeo I remember from the dying days of WCW, but it was a shame to see Punk go out so early. But the crowd didn't know any of the guys in the match and it showed."

[8.0] "This was a very good opener. Nice in-ring action and intense competition. All four wrestlers looked good, specially London, Punk and Romeo. Kid Romeo was who impressed me the most, as I haven't seen much of him. He hit some cool moves, such as the slingshot clothsline or a wheelbarrow bulldog, a torture rack slam and his finisher, the Kiss Goodnight. Also he did some character work, a cocky wrestler. Punk hit some cool moves, he has improved a lot since his debut match teaming with Ace Steel, now he has better basics and hit some cool moves, such as the shinning wizard leaping off London, the Devil Lock DDT. London, as usual at this time, made an impressive performance. He hit some cool high flying, like a top rope crossbody or the London Star Press. Also, I loved when Romeo hold Cross on a gory driver, London hit a superkick on Cross and then Romeo hit the move. Pretty cool spot. And that was all, a fast apced and intense match, a great way to start the show."

[7.0] "Good opening match. This was the classic WCW formula of starting out with an X-Division match to get the crowd going and put on something fun. This was during CM Punk's brief run in TNA, and him being an X-Division guy here is funny considering he wasn't known for many high flying moves. Despite that, he did pretty good here for the time given to him. Kid Romeo was good, as was Jason Cross, but Paul London was the one who probably shined the most. London has always been a great talent and when given time, he showed he can have an excellent match. ***1/2"

This was your standard X-Division multiman spotfest, but the chemistry between all 4 guys was surprisingly good and everything went off smoothly. Finish felt a bit abrupt, but I gotta give them props for having the right guy go over."

Funny enough Punk is eliminated first, though not before giving a very strong showing. Jason Cross is really an incredible athlete, on par with anyone in the company, wonder what ever happened to him? Kid Romeo, who is very good as well, eliminates Cross with a top rope Air Raid Crash. Paul London got busted open on the bridge of his nose somewhere along the line, but he still gets the win with a beautiful Shooting Star Press. Fantastic opener, regardless of what the rest of the show will bring."
