| 5 | 09.03.2026 | SlowUnsteady | 10.0 | Classic. It just kept getting better. Again, at first it started off like a wrestling match and that's what I expected it would be until the very end, but it turned into this crazy brawl. When you look at Fuji and Dynamite Kid, you don't expect a bloody, clean babyface/heel dynamic fight. You expect a scientific clinic. But what these two delivered couldn't have been any better. The psychology was brilliant. If I'm not wrong, this was Fuji's first title defense after he won it and he's already bleeding in his first defence. That's one thing I really miss in wrestling today. They don't bleed anymore and they keep giving the excuse that blood should only be used on special occasions. But that special occasion never seems to come, does it? And here we have junior division wrestlers bleeding in at first title defense. As far as what I had seen of Dynamite Kid before this, I wouldn't say I was super impressed. But this match impressed me. He was an amazing heel here. Their previous singles bout was also good, but this one was on another level. Fuji has such an amazing physique. I don't know what else to say. This was just a classic. |

Both of these guys' conditioning is great here so no question they could do it. Compared to the Fujinami/Keirn title match 4 days prior this blows it away. Dynamite does the Samoa Joe "Nope" spot and I marked out but he also has a serious case of Luger selling, screaming any time he is hit. |

The head-butt violence is both spectacular and terrifying, and the whole thing is very well orchestrated, with a slightly surprising but well-executed finish. I'd have to have more context as both seemed very emotionally involved.8/10 |

Ende kam etwas abrupt, machte aber rein storytechnisch viel Sinn, dennoch hätte ich mir da noch ein bisschen mehr gewünscht(***3/4). |

| 50 | 09.12.2022 | BH62 | 9.0 | I'm reading Bret Hart's autobiography and he talked about Dynamite going to Japan to wrestle Fujinami, so I went to the most rated one, you know. That was surely something to witness. Dynamite Kid was such a jerk as the crowd bought it so well. Fujinami's selling was on point as well, especially that blade job (damn the headbutt he took). I'm just not the biggest fan of the outside sequences, but nevermind, I took it like thhe all bout is a mix of British, American and Japaense styles. The technical sequences were honey, clearly, as well as the striking. A superb compiliation of both men's assets with some good emotion. The final stretch was quite something, didn't saw it coming, even if I know the technique. |

| 55 | 08.08.2022 | arrancar | 6.0 | Quite a good match. The whole match had that great 80s feel where both wrestlers looked to be fighting super methodically, though that was both a blessing and a curse, since it also made sure the match was overly slow at times. I enjoyed how much of a bruiser Dynamite played here, going after Fujinami's bandaged head wound and generally showing a lot of power as he beat Fujinami down, while Fujinami showed nice passion in his resilience to always get back face to face with Dynamite. These two had really strong chemistry, though sadly they didn't produce too many magnificent spots with that chemistry as they could have. My favourite parts of the match were when Dynamite would totally avoid Fujinami's moves, casually moving out of the way of the dropkick and planche, and making Fujinami look a fool while Dynamite didn't look bothered at all. The finish was a bit abrupt, since they had only *just* found that sweet spot of excitement and drama before it ended. While this was quite slow, both men still managed to display very impressive technical work and a few really cool bits of athleticism. Definitely not a great match, but as far as 80s wrestling goes, this was quite good. ***1/4 |
| 56 | 23.07.2022 | TigerDiver | 9.0 | This was an excellent, hard-hitting battle of grits and intensity. Dynamite turned in an incredible dickish heel performance, viciously tearing apart Fujinami's bandaged cut in the nastiest way possible. Fujinami did a sublime job as the gutsy babyface champion fighting from beneath while absorbing one heck of a beatdown. There was one spot where Dynamite avoided an oncoming plancha from Tataumi by casually walking away like Samoa Joe! They went into a terrific closing stretch that culminated in Fujinami wrapping Kid in a splendid clutch pin to retain the title. The sudden finish won't be for everyone, but I personally thought it worked very well here. Highly recommended. [****1/4] |
| 57 | 05.06.2022 | SayamaFan7 | 6.0 | Clearly I'm not in the same boat as the majority of other reviewers because this match just didn't do it for me.... Sure this was very technically sound as you would expect but it just failed to engage me like I hoped. Dynamite dominates Fujinami for most of the run time but I feel like he is a notch below the DK we would see the next year against Tiger Mask. There are a few moments of clear miscommunication at the start which is unsurprising due to the language barrier, that's fine though. Fujinami gets colour as he works from underneath, barely getting a lick of offence. I love Dynamite just walking away from dropkicks and planchas, like Samoa Joe would famously do later... Fujinami is able to win with his signature surprise pin, which gets a great pop from a crowd who are really into him. Overall this was just a fine, well worked match but for me personally it didn't go beyond that. (3*) |

| 64 | 06.10.2021 | Lakhiarfarhad91 | 9.0 | Dynamite Kid did a great heel performance in this match. He played the cocky heel extremely well here. The match started with some fast paced wrestling but what took this match to the next level was when Dynamite Kid busts Fujinami open with the headbutt and he viciously went after it for the whole match. From throwing punches to kicks and delivering a picture perfect diving headbutt on the head of Fujinami. Fujinami did great selling and made good comebacks. One of the things I loved in this match was when Fujinami went for the dive from the top rope to outside but Dynamite Kid just casually walks off. Finish could've been better for this intense match but it was fine. 8.50/10 |
| 65 | 05.06.2021 | Joshxo1ne | 7.0 | Really great pace to this contest. The offence was fast and effortless, especially when executed by Dynamite Kid. Liked both wrestlers aggression. 7/10, this was an easy watch with great entertainment. |

| 68 | 27.12.2020 | MRN | 10.0 | Updated this from a 9 to a 10 on rewatch. What a match! This is the match that made me a Dynamite Kid fan, even more so than the Tiger Mask bouts. The way he carries himself from the moment he walks out to when he walks back to the locker room is top notch. From flipping off the crowd, to throwing away the flowers he's given, to the cocky look on his face after he hits the Diving Headbutt, everything he does makes sense and serves a porpuse. Pair him with another of the greatest of all time and you have a bonafide classic. Dynamite's in control for most of the match but when Fujinami gets offense the crowd explodes, he's an incredibly sympathetic babyface, especially with that big cut on his forehead. No flaws in this match that I can see. ***** |
| 69 | 14.10.2020 | JokerDeSilva | 8.0 | A fantastic match to be sure. These two go all out, and it's a wonder to watch the modern cruiserweight style actively being invented, even if it'll never stop making me uneasy to see anyone - let alone the Dynamite Kid himself - do the top rope headbut. He works with a truly memorable intensity, and Fujinami is exactly the right kind of fiery babyface to stand up to the callous, technically savage gaijin. Not to mention that Fujinami does a magnificent clutch at the end to get the pin that would make Zack Sabre Jr. blush. Pure technical artistry. Watch this match. |

DK brought some very intense offense and Fujinami was really throwing his whole body into what he did, including a sickening dive that DK dodges. Smart finish as well, as DK has expended so much effort on offense that he gets caught. Nicely done. |
