[9.0] "I thought this was tremendous and am more than content with being the first reviewer to give it a 9. I was invested in the story going in, the match stayed true to that story (post-match didn't, more on that later), and both guys worked their asses off to deliver something that was pretty great overall. Escorpion will get most of the plaudits for leading things but Psycho held his own too (could've sold the low-blow a bit longer though). My main critique has to do with the mutual respect post-match stuff considering how personal this was. We needed some breathing room before the "hug it out" scene. I know Psycho Clown is the kids favorite, but he ain't Mother Teresa."
[8.0] "It's one of those matches that's 100% about feel and story and not that much about technique and thrived on the moto ĞLess is moreğ. Clown didnt need to do squat, the story was over, Rey carried the whole thing and just gave him his spots and the crowd went wild. Not a MOTYC on any sorts but a very enjoyable match and, easily, the best on the entire card (probably tied with the 3-way for the tag titles)."
[8.0] "This had every AAA trick in the book and was all the better for it (unlike the women's match). Just a nonstop escalation of odds for Psycho Clown to overcome and the crowd was with him every step of the way."
[5.0] "The match is a big brawl for a feud that seemed pretty heated. Its solid enough in the ring when they get to it but the Walk a brawl is not my cup of tea"
[8.0] "Hard not to get swept up in a Psycho Clown main event for Triplemania. He is clearly beloved and the most over person on the show by a large margin. This is exactly what you'd expect but it doesn't make it any less satisfying."
[7.0] "It was a very good main event, and a great way to end the feud between Psycho Clown and Rey Escorpion even if I expected a bit better to be honest. Escorpion had a great domination for the first half of the match, he had a good heelwork and Psycho Clown's selling was great. Escorpion even unmasked a little bit Psycho Clown during the match, it was a great spot. Great drama at the end of the match, Psycho Clown kicking out after receiving a Low Blow from her sister was very emotional. However, not a fan of the Sunset Flip ending. ***3/4"
[5.0] "There was a good backstory and build to this match, but it was not particularly special from bell to bell. An extended walk-and-brawl made up the first half of the match, and after that it was mostly a plunder match. Good intensity and a few good spots, but nothing special from an in-ring perspective."
