On the other side, you a have the bland entrance of two guys without an ounce of aura, which is quite amusing. You get these two annoying little shits taking on the most over thing in WWE and it made for a nice dynamic. Both played their roles very well and made for a fun tag team affair. *** 3/4"
[10.0] "Outstanding tag team match up, Ted Dibiase Junior and Cody rhodes were brilliant, really well scouted D-Generation-X and were able to counter a lot. Shawn's first since Undertaker at Mania 25 but he showed no signs of ring rust whatsoever and was able to put a great performance on"
[7.0] "I was a bit worried going into this one, especially with Hunter and Michaels goofing around during their entrance - it felt like it could easily slip into one of their self-indulgent comedy routines. But credit where it's due, they actually made sure Legacy came out looking strong. Great heel work from both young guys, who were clearly out to impress and bumped like crazy without messing anything up. Cody and Shawn surprisingly had some solid chemistry, and the match wrapped up with a nicely done finish that got a big pop."
[6.0] "How frugal we have become in the meantime. The perceived 50 individual titles of HBK and HHH are thrown into a pot here with the young newcomers and the result is for a longer time a lot of boredom at eye level. The consequence of this match is fine though, as DiBiase and Rhodes, who I really like here in his interaction with HBK, have at least arrived in the upper midcard now. What Orton, unlike Trips with him at Evolution, couldn't do in the Legacy stable, the DX is trying to get the young stars over. Everything is solid here, but there is also a lack of splendid highlights. As the DX also burns more black powder at the Entrance than a medium-sized town on New Year's Eve, it is unlikely that the self-congratulatory old stars will lose from the start on."
[6.0] "A good match but outside of the DX reunion I didn't really think that it felt very special. It was cool to see Legacy get so much offense in and Cody in particular looked really good. DX getting the win on the big stage made sense and definitely popped the crowd huge. 3 stars."
[5.0] "If you take the nostalgia glasses off, this match was truly nothing special. The only really nice thing about it was that DX gave Legacy a LOT of this match. They made them look great, and like a serious threat to the legends. No doubt that even though Legacy lost, their stock looked better after this bout ended. Unfortunately, that's really where the praise ends. Because, although Legacy dominated, their offense was elementary. The match is just about as basic a tag match as you can muster together, and just goes on way to long for that kind of material. If this EXACT match was Legacy against any random tag team, I can promise you the score of this match would be lower. The star power and returning Michaels gives it a pass. It almost seems like this match was a gentle trial run for Shawn's return. To give him an easy match back to get him back into the swing of things. Nothing wrong with this match, and it serves a nostalgic purpose, but it was just too long and too basic for me."
[7.0] "I wasn't expecting to enjoy this match as much as I did, but I like the dynamic of the young, arrogant Legacy disrespecting D-Generation X and really holding their own throughout the match. The in-ring work was good; Michaels is always amazing to watch, Triple H is on point, Cody Rhodes before he would really reach that next level shows promise in this match, and even DiBiase shines. The finish was pretty cool too. 7/10."
[7.0] "*EXACT RATING: 7.5* This is during the second revival of D-Generation X, and after the 2006 run, there was no hope that anyone in this company was interested in what made that group so popular in the late 90s. They had become a comedy act, an utterly strange and unfunny PG-level raunchy vaudeville team in promos, but they could still go in the ring. Against a pre-bleach Cody Rhodes and a pre-wire fraud Ted DiBiase Jr, they put on the first match of the night that felt worthy of people paying money to see. [HIGH SPOT: Cody Rhodes' leaping elbow drop, as good as Kairi Sane's]"
[8.0] "Rusev did the tank better. Anyways onto the match. God this is underrated, Legacy aren't the greatest team of all time or anything but their heel work here is great. Loved Cody showing disrespect and slapping Shawn twice only for Shawn to tag in and do the same to him. Loved the two taking turns to stomp mudholes in HHH for what felt like a a full minute. Loved DiBiase ruining the kip up spot, the fans didn't like that one. Smart finisher protection for the cross rhodes with HHH having to break up the pin, which leads to a thrilling ending with Rhodes being hit with the pedigree and Michaels being hit with the dream street with the other two taking it outside as Rhodes and Michaels slowly make it to their feet just as Michaels hits a desperation sweet chin music and gets the pin. 2009 DX was cringe af but at least we got a killer match out of it. ****"
[8.0] "Entertaining and very well structured match. Legacy showed they were the threat to DX in this bout and it was necessary to do so, considering DX's star power and Legacy's experience."
[7.0] "The action of the match went to a very low pace to a very interesting interaction between the teams, and at the end a solid Tag Team match. The most interestent exchanges of the match were between Cody Rhodes and Shawn, great agil and speedy wrestlers. Almost a match to remember. Also a very nice entrance for Dx. [***3/4]"
[8.0] "DX vs Legacy hier mit Cody und Ted damals war schon eine unterhaltsame Fehde. Ein absolutes Highlight war damals der Entrance der DX mit dem Panzer (***1/2)."
[8.0] "First, it's great to see HHH beating Cody Rhodes, we all know why. DX entrance was great, reminded me on time when Triple H and DX invaded Nitro with tank. Legacy were dominant, being one step ahead all time. HHH deserves praise because he made Rhodes and DiBiase look like legitimate threats, especially if we know that HHH sometimes is not so cooperative. Match really looked like some typical tag team match until last 10 minutes that were very exciting. Legacy constantly preventing Triple H to make tag made me think that Legacy is going to win. Superkick out from nowhere was really great ending for match. Pretty good tag team match, better than HIAC one."
[8.0] "Das war ein gutes Aufeinandertreffen der alten und der jungen Garde, welches wie ein traditionelles NWA Tag Team Match aus den 80ern/90er wirkte mit den Tag Team Dynamiken wie Isolation und auch der Arbeit miteinander und untereinander. Vor Allem das Timing war hier gut und hat für starke Momente gesorgt in verbunden auch mit gelungenem Selling wenn zum Beispiel Mitglieder beider Teams völlig fertig in die Ecke zum Tag krabbeln und nur einer ihn bekommt und es so zum Tag kommt. Ein wirklich gutes Match, welches in meinen Augen 8 Punkte verdient."
[6.0] "A solid tag match, though to be honest most of the action seemed rather basic and not a whole lot stood out to me. I liked Cody's attitude a lot and there were some strategic elements for the heels, but overall I didn't think it was all that good, just alright."
[6.0] "DX punktete bei mir mit einem richtig coolen Entrance. Das Match an sich war größtenteils TagTeamRohkost und solides Wrestling. Zum Ende hin wurde es dann aber richtig spannend. Eine richtig heiße Finishphase machen für mich diese Auseinandersetzung Matchguidewürdig."
[6.0] "Durchschnittliches Match in dem die beiden Jungspunde gut mit den alten Recken mithalten dürfen bzw. können. Eigentlich machen alle Beteiligte so ziemlich alles richtig. Die beiden Alten zeigen ihre Signatures und die beiden Jungen können durch gutes Teamwork überzeugen. Aber irgendwie war ich nie so richtig dabei. Meist plätscherte das Match so vor sich hin. Da man das alles schon tausendmal gesehen hat und es auch keine wirklich Highlights gab (mal abgesehen vom Entrance von DX). Das Finish war dann gut gebookt. Insgesamt ein ordentliches Match, aber meilenweit entfernt von einem Klassiker."
[7.0] "Eines vorweg, der Entrance der D-X war ja mal sehr cool. Der Beginn des Matches baut sehr gut auf die Vorgeschichte auf. HBK, der Ringrost angesetzt hat, die Legacy, die keinen Respekt kennt und einen Triple H, der versucht, die jungen Wilden eines besseren zu belehren. Dann zwei mal die klassische Phase als der Face isoliert wird, zunächst HBK dann HHH. Ich muss schon sagen, dass die Legacy das recht gut anstellt. Nur das Finish ist etwas aus dem nichts heraus. Insgesamt 7/10, da es gut war, aber nichts besonderes."
[7.0] "Netter wrestlerischer Einstieg in diese Tag Team Fehde. Legacy durfte gut mithalten und die DX konnte hier durch die Rückkerszenarien zumindest noch etwas von dem Charme versprühen, den sie nun nach einigen Monaten wirklich nicht mehr im Ansatz aufweisen können. Die weiteren Matches zeigten dann jedoch, dass in dieser Paarung noch einiges mehr steckte, weshalb das Ganze als Einstieg sicher ok, aber dann auch wieder nicht das Hammermatch schlechthin war."
[7.0] "Die 4 boten hier das drittbeste Match des Abends! Der Mittelteil war an wenigen Stellen etwas langatmig aber dafür war die Endphase sehr ansprechend. Aufgrund der Vorgeschichte wäre ein Sieg von Legacy einfach unglaubwürdig und daher geht das Matchende in Ordnung, zumal beide Teams gleichwertig dargestellt wurden. ***1/2 geht völlig in Ordnung."
[8.0] "Ein sehr schönes Tag Team, welches sich vom Anfang bis zum Ende kontinuierlich steigerte und dem man auch die nötige Zeit gab, sich zu entwickeln. Legacy wurden hier gleichwertig dargestellt, sodass die Niederlage am Ende auf keinem Fall schadet. Vielmehr hat ihnen dieses Match sogar noch geholfen sich als ernstzunehmende Wrestler zu etablieren. Gutes Match und den Einlauf der DX sollte man auf jeden Fall mal gesehen haben."
[6.0] "Der etwas lange Entrance war zunächst mal vielleicht etwas übertrieben und sehr WWE-like, gefiel mir aber ganz gut und kam in der Halle auch an. Das Match überraschte positiv, da die Legacy (vielleicht doch etwas zu plötzlich) stark dargestellt wurde, was wohl die Wenigsten erwartet hatten. Trotzdem wars sicher nichts weltbewegendes und die Spannung fehlte leider auch völlig. Man kann einfach nicht davon ausgehen, dass die DX Bei ihrer Rückkehr und nachdem mehr Pyro verballert wurde, als beim ganzen Rest der Show, tatsächlich gegen ein Team verliert, das vor kurzem noch von Non-Wrestlern abgefertigt wurde. Von daher nur Durchschnitt."
"Es bringt nichts beide Parteien einigermaßen auf Augenhöhe zu booken, Rhodes und DiBiasie aber nur Tritte, Schläge, Standardmoves und ihre Finisher zeigen dürfen. Sie wirken dadurch immernoch austauschbar. Wünsche mir für das nächste Aufeinandertreffen mehr Signature Moves (die nicht gekontert werden) von Legacy."
[7.0] "Meine Erwartungen an das Match waren recht hoch, da ich eigentlich von Rhodes und Dibiase viel halte und nicht mit einem DX-Squash-Match bei der großen Ankündigung rechnete. Für Shawns Rückkehr wars auch wirklich in Ordnung. Die Zeit hat dabei auch gepasst. Insgesamt wars ok."
[8.0] "Vielleicht das beste Match von Rhodes & diBiase als Team bisher, DX ist gewohnt gut mit schöner Entrance. Die Legacy wird nicht kastriert und das Match wird lange offen gehalten. Das die DX gewinnt war klar, trotzdem ein schönes Match!"
[8.0] "Das Match hat mich positiv überrascht. Ich hab ja mit einem 3 Minutensquash gerechnet. Aber es hat mir sehr gut gefallen, wie stark DiBiase und Rhodes dargestellt wurden. Der Sieger stand aber leider schon von vornherein fest. Hoffentlich braut sich da eine schöne Fehde zusammen, in der DiBiase und Rhodes auch mal gewinnen dürfen. *hoff*"
[7.0] "Absolut perfekte unterhaltung. Ein gutes Wrestling Match bei dem die DX nicht übertrieben dominiert hat was ich positiv zu bewerten habe. ***1/2"
[7.0] "Positive Überraschung einerseits, andererseits auch schon wieder bezeichnend, dass manch ein Fan schon allein deshalb hin und weg ist, weil die DX hier Rhodes und DiBiase nicht verspritsquadet, sondern auf Augenhöhe mit ihnen agieren. Blendet man den Faktor aus, bleibt ein sehr ordentliches Match, aber sicher nichts, was in der ersten Liga des Tag Team Wrestling spielt oder gar eine "performance for the ages" war, wie es Herr Cole in seinem Überhype-Wahn ausgedrückt hat."
[8.0] "Der Aufbau des Matches war eigentlich (wie von Aquifel angesprochen) eine Frechheit, umso mehr war ich dann überrascht, dass das Match recht ausgeglichen geführt wurde und ordentlich Zeit bekam. So konnte doch noch Spannung aufgebaut werden und Shawn Michaels seinen Pin zur Rückkehr bekommen..."
[5.0] "Also ich fand, das Vorspiel des Entrances der DX einfahc nur lächerlich. Auch dass die ganze Chose um die 7, 8 Minuten gedauert hat.... bin seit je her riesiger HBK Fan und auch der DX (den Reunions schon) nicht abgeneigt, aber das war zuviel. Anyway, das Match war recht zäh, aber besser, als zu befürchten war, vor allem, da Rhodes und DiBiasi endlich mal als Gegner und nicht als 08/15 Lakaien dargestellt wurden. Ändert aber nichts daran, dass das Match nur durchschnittlich war. Da hilft es auch herzlich wenig, dass die Storyline, weshalb Triple H aufeinmal HBKs Hilfe brauchte, beknackt war. Ganz im Ernst, Shane McMahon vermöbelt Orton und Legacy. Triple H tut das oft genug. Batista tut es ebenfalls. Und urplötzlich kann Triple H das nicht mehr? Was hat sich in den letzten Tagen Wochen verändert, ausser dass man HBK ein (vom Match her unwürdiges) Comeback geben wollte? Das gibt dem ganzen nochmal einen weiteren, faden Beigeschmack. Insgesamt also nur 5 Punkte."
[10.0] "Ich weiß nicht was es ist, aber irgendetwas reizt mich nach wie vor an diesem Match. Meiner Meinung nach ein sehr gutes Tag Team Match, bei dem ich jedes Mal ausgemarkt bin, wenn Shawn eingetagt wurde :). ****"
[9.0] "Viel besser als ich es befürchtet hatte, weil Cody Rhodes und Ted DiBiase anders als die Spirit Squad vor drei Jahren (und anders als in den Monaten zuvor) als ebenbürtig dargestellt wurden. Am Ende war es die Erfahrung und die Schnelligkeit des Veteranen Shawn Michaels, was den Unterschied ausmachte, aber Legacy haben mit dieser Vorstellung eine Menge Boden gut gemacht. Hut ab für Michaels und auch Triple H, die trotz des Sieges ihre Gegner nicht bloßstellten (was man ja zumindest hatte befürchten können), sondern den Kampf wirklich als solchen verkauften."
