[10.0] "absolutely banger technical hard hittting match. This is the best match ive seen from either of these guys. It sucks that it wasnt shown on big time national tv but theres dude didnt care they put in a CLINIC. Super happy i found this hidden gym. 5 stars"
[5.0] "Part of the magic of a 60 minute match is knowing that it could end at any moment, but having it run so long because both guys can't find a way to win. Yet, both Yuta and Wheeler get 40 minutes into the match and both guys look completely tired, and uninterested in actually winning the match. It's written on the face that the match isn't going have a winner, so how am I supposed to stay invested? I'm not denying that the majority of the holds, grappling, and technical work in this match are excellent, and the effort certainly wasn't lacking, but my god it's largely uninteresting. There's at least 20 minutes of bloat, 40 at worst, and despite the drama boiling over near the end, it was nonexistent the first 50 minutes of the match. Make no mistake, Garcia and Yuga are talented, and it seems the consensus is that they pulled it off, but to me, this was a waste of time. 2.75 Stars."
"I really enjoyed this match. I appreciated the story it was telling in Yuta being a cocky champion who underestimated his challenger and ran away when first in the ring. He was a classic cowardly heel here to Garcias fan favorite face. Im a sucker for any draw, though. This was a slugfest with not many over the top spots but 60 seconds of pure wrestling. Brawling, fighting, grappling, throwing, and so on. Garcias piledriver right out the window was something to behold as well. I rate this match 8 stars. It told a great story with good selling and not too many high spots but still did manage to lull a little towards 45 minutes."
[10.0] "A phenomenal 60 minute match, so intelligent structuring and while Yuta might fit as a endearing babyface rather than a dastardly heel and his technical maneuvers lack intensity, regardless he is still a tremendous and high skill athlete. It was interesting to see Garcia as the beloved babyface and vice versa for YUTA. The first 20 to 25 minutes was pristine and masterful technique and showcased true dedication to the often overlooked craft of technical wrestling. Yuta's confidence in the beginning thus promotes his heel figure and this smirk and stride of confidence would disappear after Garcia goes right to the hunt rocking Yuta with a pile-driver in the initial moments and a shook Yuta then realizes and then amends his foolish game-plan fueled by pride. Garcia dominates the first quarter but Yuta shifts momentum in his favor by targeting and focusing the offense towards the arm of Garcia who does a incredible job at selling the injury and pain. Garcia struggles to land chops as he would at 100% but still keeps on fighting in spite of the pain clearly expressed by him. The match starts to pick up pace and intensity as it progresses, from a mat based masterpiece to a intense hard-hitting brawl. They land nasty shots on each other, especially Garcia who snaps twice during this match due to the insolent behavior of Yuta towards him and so respect is beaten into him by Red Death. Such physicality between these two highly talented young prospects. The crowd is lit and the atmospheric vigor in unpalpable, injecting energetic vibes. The ending stretch is just as commendable with the peaking drama having me at the edge of my seat. Garcia technically won but Yuta tapped after the bell. The ring psychology is second to none too. This was super special content here and my best indie match of the year. The pacing was brilliant, not a second where I felt bored. Had Garcia won, this would have been a complete 5 star match. Nevertheless, this was still a classic and I will settle with a ****3/4"
[6.0] "Even though there were some good parts, but these two guys are still too young for a 60 minutes match. The pace of this match was very slow, and it was full of repetitive plots and meaningless moves. This match was sleepy and boring for most part of it, and both young competitors are still immature in competition skills and pace control. 60 minutes time limit draw always sounds cool, but not everyone can do it. YUTA and Garcia are good wrestler at this age, but they still have a lot to learn."
[9.0] "Great match overall, very hard hitting, very technical, and plenty smart at times. I think I would have liked it just as much or more if it was 30 minutes instead, but still a great match, super strong showing from both."
[7.0] "It's an hour-long match between two green 20-year-olds, so there are obviously a lot of problems. I mean time-wasting, problems with selling from Garcia, problems with targeting logic from Yuta, who didn't even use damaged parts of his opponent in the end. But there were some good parts as well. I really liked the beginning and ending, even though the latter could have been better. I also think Garcia has a lot of potential."
[6.0] "This was a 'high-profile' match because it was announced so many times before the bell that PWI recognizes IWTV Independent Wrestling World Title as a World Championship, which was a good way of learning that PWI still exists. Beginning of the match was good, at around ~15-minute mark they blatantly started taking turns, and by the 25-minute mark they kinda run out of ideas so I guess they were learning how to call a match on the fly at that point. Judging by crowd reactions, this style of a match is what the crowd wanted, and the stage that is big enough for a match like this is there. Hopefully IWTV will keep gaining momentum in a post-COVID world because the best is yet to come."
[10.0] "Absolutely fantastic, this match was a technical classic and I highly recommend it. The fact that both guys are under the age of 25 is astounding and they both have incredibly bright futures ahead of them. The match going to a one hour time limit draw didn't detract from it at all unlike some other very long matches. It never felt like spots were happening just for the sake of happening, everything contributed to the overall story of the match."
[10.0] "This was a masterpiece, an epic match from both of the most rising stars in the indies and in the sport. both of those guys are such talented technical wrestlers and they show everything they can do in this match. It lasted an hour but I never feel like I was getting bored or the match have useless spots or moments. Such an epic match that goes to the distance and it was filled by amazing limbwork, great selling and a lot of hard strikes. My ***** to this match"
[8.0] "This match was very good, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler YUTA have a great chemistry and technically they are two of the bests we can find in the US independent scene. YUTA is a fantastic heel, his facial expressions are just excellent and he has a presence that almost no one has. At the beginning, Garcia countering YUTA to place a Piledriver was a very intelligent spot, he reminds to YUTA that he is very dangerous and that he can see YUTA's errors to take the title away from him, even very early in the match. And that's the story they wanted to tell us, because Garcia is always gonna be very agressive, and every time Garcia speeds up the rythm, YUTA is here to control him, especially in the last quarter of the match, where Garcia is more dangerous than ever. YUTA always controls the match, for example when he does a German Suplex on Garcia and Garcia kicks out, he wins some seconds on the mat because he knows that a time limit draw give him the right to stay the champion. Garcia was always great in his returns, and he played very well the babyface role in this match. It was not a classic by any means, but this is clearly another excellent match for YUTA this year. It's not at the level of his 52 minutes match with Lee Moriarty but he shows once again that he can be relevant in such a long match, and Garcia was relevant too, obviously. ****"
[8.0] "Credit to both of these guys for working such a long marathon of a match. While this wasn't quite as amazing as I thought it would be, this was certainly well worth the watch. I'm looking forward to seeing more from both guys in the future!"
[8.0] "An incredible effort overall. I think at times they struggled to fill in space and so, there are moments of drag. Not everyone can be a Tanahashi or Danielson in that regard but I'd say YUTA and Garcia were certainly better at it than guys like Omega and Reigns. Garcia's selling of the arm is superb if a little too much and YUTA's good too; it's a little wierd that he stopped going after said arm in the second half when it was pretty clear he had done some serious damage to it. So yeah, great match but I feel that they have a ****1/2+ 30 minute match in 'em. ****"
[10.0] "This was the first time I seen Daniel Garcia be a face however he did a great job selling his arm throughout this fight. This was ballsy to have these two go this long when I don't believe Garcia has had a match at nearly this length before and YUTA had the one match with Moriarty when he won the title. These guys went really slow for a while which is understandable to attempt to pace themselves however the story in the ring being told of why the crowd hated Yuta while Garcia showing he had the heart of a champion was able to keep me engaged. I believe the finish was masterful as Garcia put YUTA in a hold that he will know be able to use for the rest of his career in a big match and should be able to make someone either tap or go to sleep however he was just a second late in this one. *****"
[10.0] "The only significant downside of this match was the 8 minute period at the 40 minute mark or so, where Garcia and Yuta slowed down and the match dragged. But they got the crowd back eventually, and everyone was on their feet screaming for Garcia to win by the end. Garcia's submission skills and viscous mat wrestling have to put him in the conversation for best technical wrestler this year. He channeled Kiyoshi Tamura at the end, shouting in desperation while trying to make Wheeler tap out. Wheeler Yuta was a very good heel and wrestled really well, but Garcia was just on another level with his attention to detail, selling, grappling, and emotion. ****3/4"
[3.0] "Time limit draws are not something I enjoy is wrestling. Time limit draws in sweltering heat are even worse. That ultimately doesn't detract from either wrestlers talent, but once it became clear this match was going to the time limit my interest dropped off a cliff. Nothing had any stakes until the last 5 minutes or so. Omega and Okada doing long matches planted seeds which are starting to grow, and I don't think I am going to enjoy the fruits of those seeds."
[10.0] "Wheeler YUTA is 24 years old, Daniel Garcia is 22 years old. They have no right to have this great a match, this epic a match, so young. And to do it in unbearable heat in a sweatbox for ONE HOUR. The big bombs were early, Garcia with a piledriver in the first few minutes and then taking control for the first quarter, then YUTA with a Saito Suplex that turned the tide. YUTA with the stalling tactics while controlling offense, and then Garcia coming back and taking the fans with him. This was an intelligent 60 minutes with two guys who are going to be massive, all it needs is AEW to give them the same platform and they'll be megastars."
[9.0] "Both these guys are great wrestlers, and they told a hell of a story in this match (the arm! ). But my goodness was it really long. Just too many stretches in this match where I was less engaged, yet they always pulled me back in which is impressive in of itself. By the end of the match, especially the last 5 minutes I was on the edge of my seat. Great match, but long."
[10.0] "Incredible one-hour match between Wheeler YUTA and Daniel Garcia here, if you want to see what these two incredible talents are capable of because you just discovered them in All Elite Wrestling after their recent appearances, I could not name you a better match to watch than this one to be introduced to them. Let's be honest, this is a very difficult match to rate because it's not everyone's cup of tea to watch a one-hour technical match that ends in a time-limit draw, but personally being a huge fan of both I found it to be a breath of fresh air. So obviously it was very long, not everyone likes this style of wrestling so maybe some will find it boring to watch but I can't put anything else than 10 because they put so much effort into it and especially because it was SO DAMN GOOD. It was a match worked to perfection with fire sequences, good rhythm (for sixty long minutes), body targetting, selling, all with a perfect execution and a crowd that was behind them all along the match. This was one of the most anticipated matches of the year on the independent scene and it's clearly a MOTYC for the indies. My biggest dream would be to see them in an Iron-Man match to close out this rivalry by putting on another long and excellent match of pure wrestling just like this one."
