[7.0] "A solid final, it hurts that this match was clipped as it hurts it importance which is key to a Champions Carnival Final. Still, was good based upon what I saw of the match."
[8.0] "Don't know if the full version of this exists somewhere, the one I saw was clipped. The stuff that's here though is pretty good. Tenryu sells like crazy for Kea and does a good job of putting over his offense. I always like the little things where a wrestler actually uses their brain, and there's a good one here where Kea goes to put on a figure 4 only for Tenryu to just punch him square in the face."
[6.0] "Kea's underdog journey concludes with a rematch against one of the guys he couldn't beat the first time around in the shape of Genichiro Tenryu: Kea's been protected hard in this tourney, only losing to Kawada and drawing with Tenryu, so there's actual suspense in if he can actually get the job done. This is ever so slightly clipped (about 2 minutes or so is missing) but outside of that, the whole thing is intact. Tenryu tries his usual bullying stuff but Kea catches him with a few good kicks that stun him hard: the selling by him is tremendous as he tries to get up again and ends up falling over. Kea uses this moment of opportunity to get a piledriver in and uses a Muto-este style to get Tenryu down and into a figure four, which weakens him even more, which gives him control until Tenryu gets some punches in and almost gets a lariat before getting put down again. Kea uses multiple DDT's to work over Tenryu's head. Kea gets some great fire when powering out of the opponent's lariats and chops, and a near pin with a double lariat attempt gets the crowd surprisingly hot for him. Ultimately Tenryu's experience is too much for him to handle, and he falls after a brainbuster and a final lariat attempt. The crowd wasn't actually too hot for him winning and Kea was clearly the more fan favourite, which is natural considering his build up to this match. Not great. It's weird having Kea dominate the match so much just for Tenryu to cover the same distance with so few moves and the leg work gets completely abandoned after the second figure four attempt is reversed. Tenryu wasn't really going at 100% and it felt like this was just his usual autopilot style of hitting 90% strikes with a brainbuster or two here and there, not much nuance through he does sell well at points. Kea actually did better in terms of all-round offence and looked great with his kicks and comeback spots, the crowd responded very positively. I'm not gonna speculate but honestly...... Kea deserved this more than Tenryu, who was already well established as a legend by this point. Decent bout but the Triple Crown bout they had before was better."
