The Rock vs. X-Pac

[7.0] "Jim Ross is just so good with the way he puts X-Pac over. They have a decent amount of chemistry together and in-ring it's pretty good, but this match was about what was going on with the McMahon's and new commissioner Shawn Michaels at ringside where Michaels ends up betraying DX in yet another big swerve."

[6.0] "This was a solid main event. With Shawn Michaels as the new Commissioner, things seemed pretty even, with all members of DX and the Corporation banned from ringside. This was a good back and forth, with the crowd very much behind X-Pac. But to pull a swerve on us, it turned out that Shawn Michaels was colluding with Mr. McMahon all along, allowing The Rock to win after Shawn hit X-Pac in the head with a chair. For the time that it got, this was a good match. ***"

[8.0] "This was a good match by Raw from 1998 standards, as they were given enough time to actually tell a story and X-Pac looked good until it was time to get pinned. Rock made X-Pac look like a genuine contender here and the crowd was into the action, so it was a solid way to close the show as now you want to see D-X rebound and get vengeance on Shawn and The Corporation"

[6.0] "This was an okay match, not a ton of exciting stuff going on inside the ring, but enough outside factors to keep the interest levels up. Nice little heel finish with the help of Shawn and didn't run super long, something that matches suffered from a lot during this time I feel (long and overbooked)"

[6.0] "It was going so well up until the ending, although the ending did get me somewhat invested, could have been better."

[7.0] "A lot of fun to watch, but definitely too short. X-Pac has been damn solid ever since his return, and it's crazy to see his high intensity action and seeing how he seemingly never gets too winded from it. Could easily have gone longer, and we don't get a clean ending, but the ending just brings the match rating up. HBK looks like he's about to stop The Rock from hitting X-Pac with a chair, only to himself hit him with it! ? HBK aligns with Mr. McMahon? WHAT! ?"

[8.0] "A cool match. They certainly have chemistry. But what surprised me more was not that they have chemistry. And what Sean Michaels did. He betrayed his friends and sold himself to the management. It's gorgeous. That's cool. There are no words. For the match, I will put * * * stars, but for the rest, a strong 8."
