[4.0] "All these four points are just because it is a great moment in the history of this company and the Lulu Pencil storyline, I have no familiarity with Choco Pro or Lulu Pencil, Chris Brookes I already follow DDT and I like his work, however In this match he carried dead weight and did an ok job of selling the moves and the moment, 90% of the moves in this match have no impact whatsoever and I felt like I was watching my cousins and I play wrestling as children, but the final sequence and some moves are minimally interesting (**)"

[10.0] "Most promotions only wish they could have a long term story the likes of Lulu Pencil and Chris Brookes. This match has heart, emotion, action... everything one could want in wrestling. Lulu is the ultimate underdog, surviving on pure heart and belief in herself. Chris is one of the best heels in wrestling, showing utter contempt and disgust to Lulu throughout. Easily one of the best matches in ChocoPro history."

They decided to drag that across 30 minutes, which wasn't my favorite but ok, I get it. I guess I just didn't find the execution so amazing I guess. I don't like the little room they wrestle in, though they did at least make creative use. The end result for me is decent."

[10.0] "Anybody watching this should know at least the overview of the storyline this is paying off, because without it I could see it coming off as goofy and melodramatic at the same time. I'm not a big Gatoh Move fan, but the angle capped off by this match is one of the best I've seen in years and it deserves the praise it's getting even if you don't watch the promotion, don't watch joshi, or don't watch Japanese wrestling (commentary and most of what the two of them say during the match is in English). Lulu is fighting not to win, but to prove that she is a pro wrestler at all, which many doubt and Brookes denies given her inability to score a single win in the better part of a year, and the ENTIRE match is a 29.9-minute build to the crowning moment of her short career. She introduces weapons before Chris does, as he believes he can beat her over and over with basic holds, with a callback to their first match together with the chairs as well. From there Lulu's increasing desperation to do any damage to Brookes as he builds a lead is really good, with her fighting out of more pins than she loses to and never submitting. The slaps she gives in the last minutes fucking ruled, and the nearfalls were also all excellent (especially the one where Brookes is too far off the mat for a pin to count). That last-second reversal into the DEEPEST rollup she can muster into her first ever pinfall in the last seconds of the match is one of the most incredible rollups ever in any match. The way that this match gets across a 1-3 loss as a big deal for Lulu is masterful, and the post-match is kind of a tearjerker. This isn't a conventional classic, and it's got some less-than-crisp spots in the first half, but it's a classic nonetheless, and the blowoff to a feud that I don't think will ever be properly replicated. Credit to Brookes for making every match with Lulu feel special and flow so well; he's the one who made us all believe that she can be a pro wrestler. ****1/2+"

[10.0] "A magnificent match and definitely one of the best ever in Choco Pro history. This was my favorite rivalry which was put to rest and ended in fascinating manner with this blockbuster of a match. This match had everything one could wish for, from the top-notch story-telling ability to the powerful and vibrant ring psychology to the very alluring face vs heel dynamic played out and the over-whelming emotion to incorporate a exciting flavor as well as the high drama element too. The ending of this match was phenomenal and post-match was simply iconic. What a way to conclude this heated and explosive rivalry. Despite, Lulu having minimal in-ring skills , the match was booked so brilliantly that even Lulu was able to shine bright. Brookes was built as a mean and savage bully showing no mercy and disrespecting Lulu. It also helped that Brookes had the height and power advantage as he would toy with Lulu son after the bell rang. The match had a well built foundation and strong structuring, everything had a chronological esque sequence. It was sumptuous to witness as everything was done very subtly and delicately in terms of constructing the story of the match. The match itself however was a bad blood feud fueled with hatred and did not start off in a friendly like spirit. Brookes dominated majority of the course of this matchup. Brookes not only beat her to the pulp but also tortured her mentally , an example is breaking pencils infront of her, tearing supporter shoutout cards and ridiculing her fans. This angers and infuriates Lulu who gains a rush of adrenaline and fires all cylinders and in order to gain an advantage targets the knee and arm of Brookes such as closing the shutter on the arm outside as well as injecting a broken pencil onto the knee. Brookes did a good job at selling the injuries sustained. Lulu's comebacks were very emotional thus garnering more viewer engagement and making the match even more exciting and interesting. Brookes had gained three pinfall victories over Lulu in this match and she gave her everything in order to pin Brookes and even buried him under the ring mats but Brookes would kick out despite her hard-work and no quit attitude. She never stayed down, got back up and kept trying. She showed signs of a true warrior through tough will, fighting spirit and lion heart attitude. In the end, after massive hard-work and effort she was able to pin Brookes as she would bridge the pin trapping Brookes for the 3 count. Although, collectively Brookes had won 3 to 1, it felt as if no one had lost the match. Brookes won the match but Lulu won the hearts and approval of the fans. Lulu pinned Brookes and thus showed that she is a pro-wrestler, she might not have the ideal size but she has the heart to make up for it. Her pain tolerance and robust will was vividly displayed here and she came out a better wrestler also earning the respect of her adversary Chris Brookes. Fascinating wrestling content. ****3/4"

[6.0] "After watching this match, I want to see Chris Brookes carry Yoshihiko to a ****+ match because he carried Lulu Pencil, easily one of the worst wrestlers I've seen in a while, to 30-minute match that kept my attention from start to finish, even though it wasn't anything special. Story here was about Pencil's perseverance and determination to find a way to somehow pin Brookes, in the end she did that, but it really didn't matter because she was just a dead weight for 29 minutes of this match. I really enjoyed Brookes' performance here, he literally carried this match on his back."

[10.0] "The 3rd best ChocoPro match this year imo, behind Mei vs Fujita and the Pencil War of episode 110. One of the best storyline of 2021 probably ended with what I consider the perfect ChocoPro match. Funny stuff, but done in a way and with a context that makes it serious and tells a story. Lulu enters her 116th match (yes, I checked), and is still looking to score her first pin or submission. The first minutes are basically Brookes beating up Lulu and scoring 2 falls, and it's great, but it becomes even better after Lulu starts coming back. She brings the action to the outside (that gave us one of the funniest moment in the show's history with Akki whispering but still screaming, poor neighbors... ), gets chairs and slams Brookes on it, and then, when she sees that all of this is useless and that she won't pin Brookes like that, she tries to trap him with fast roll-ups. Brookes takes the first occasion to come back to beat up Lulu on the ground, doing a cutter and pinning her a third time. He still wants more and continue beating Lulu up, until she finally rolls up Brookes for a three count with 8 seconds to go, after Brookes blocked an octopus attempt. Everything in this match was so great, the ChocoPro version of a storytelling masterclass. There were also some big bumps, most of all Lulu hitting her head on the parquet, and the Chocolate Square took some more damage. Seriously, I'll say it again, but why and how is this company so good ? *****"

[8.0] "Perfect example of rich and logical storytelling in a match whose outcome didn't matter (it was assumed that Chris had the upper hand). It mattered - and it was the key point of the whole match - that Lulu Pencil managed to score a pin to prove she was a true pro wrestler. The first part is actually a squash and I must say I appreciated it, although the best part is undoubtedly the second one, more pressing in terms of rhythm and pathos. A creative match, capable of creating a lot of hype with very few elements available."

[8.0] "There was a wide gulf between raw work rate and storytelling here, so I am going to discuss them somewhat separately. First, the work itself: I understand that Lulu's gimmick is that she's not physically strong, and that this was part of the story, but that doesn't diminish the obvious sloppiness in the first half. However, after Lulu got fired up, the rest of the match was pretty crisp in terms of offense and exchanges, albeit still not perfect. The storytelling and psychology: This is one of the five best storytelling matches I've ever seen. So many callbacks, so much emotion, and an incredible, creative finish to cap off one of the best feuds of the year. If you ever question whether wrestling is more of a mental performance than a physical one, go back and watch this match. ****"

[8.0] "This was a really good iron man match, I was not a fan of the beginning but the story told was really good and I was completely invested in the second half. Brookes kicking out of everything Pencil tries was perfect to bring us the only pinfall Pencil scored, just before the end. And Brookes has a very good heelwork here. ***3/4"
