Big Daddy V & Mark Henry vs. CM Punk & Kane

[5.0] "3 Legends...and CM Punk. This was fine, a bit boring but not bad. Kane was the highlight of the match, I thought he did well. BDV squashing Punk with a samoan drop was amazing to watch. Rest of the match was average."

[3.0] "A very slow and plodding match meant to put over the two, immobile giants rather than the actual ECW champion. If this served to put Punk over, then I'd be fine with this but alas. We instead wasted PPV time to put over 2007 Mabel and a still not good Mark Henry."

[3.0] "Very dull contest kinda surprised it's rated as high as it is the majority of the match was just Viscera and Mark Henry working on Kane/Punk neither could make a difference due to the size of Viscera/Henry"

[4.0] "You have to give credit to Punk for managing to keep the crowd engaged right through to the end of the match. Frazier and Henry do a decent job of using their size to generate heat, while Kane and Punk sell it well. Please don't get me wrong, this isn't a classic, nor is it an above-average tag team match, but it's somehow more than you'd expect. That's enough."

[4.0] "surprisingly decent match, was expecting a compplete dud but even punk could get something out of Henry and V."

[3.0] "This was an incredibly dull affair. The entire match is essentially Punk bumping around and selling for some of the slowest offense you'll ever see. Nothing at all impressive. Just your basic lumbering punches, clotheslines, and slams. Punk's only purpose in this match was to be the one to generate excitement. Kane was good while he was in, but he wasn't in very much, and one of the times he gets in, he has to sell a near one minute bear hug from a gassed Henry. Punk's comeback at the end was the one really good moment, and the finish was excellent. Punk springboards PERFECTLY onto Visc's shoulders for a quick Samoan Drop. It looked smooth as butter. Besides that ending sequence, this one is hard to stay engaged with. Not a good showing."

[6.0] "Big Daddy V might have been Viscera's best version. His look alone was so original, but his work has also seemed to improve. They milked Punk's eventual hot tag really well, it wasn't boring even when the big heels were in control and the Samoan Drop for the finish looked phenomenal."

[5.0] "It was ok for a match with Big Daddy V and Mark Henry on offence for alot of it but it was pretty slow and laborious throughout despite the best efforts of CM Punk and Kane to make it at least a feasible tag match. Luckily this was Punk and Kane teaming up and not Kane and Big Show lol."

[7.0] "This match was definition of "better than expected" as a match with Kane, Mark Henry and Big Daddy V would not be expected but Punk did an amazing job and it had a great last few minutes"

[8.0] "Wow there was no reason for this tag match to be this good. Punk sold his ass off and BIG DADDY V and Henry's offence was surprisingly very good while Kane's fightback was fire."

[7.0] "The most obvious isolation in a tag match that's ever been done. Joking aside, it was the best it could be. The big guys really earned their money that night as the worked very hard. Punk on the other hand played his part beautifuly."

[6.0] "Surprisingly good for the men here, through mostly because of Punk's work. He's obviously nowhere near the strength of any of these guys and struggles to really do anything with them beyond some kicks and strikes: otherwise he gets thrown around by the pair. Kane functions as Punk's enforcer, able to actually work a equal pace with the big guys. Him and Punk weirdly start doing Muta-like tactics with them honing in on Mark Henry's legs, even having Kane doing a running low dropkick to it. It goes nowhere, of course, but it's a nice touch. Mark works most of the first half, and he's tolerable: not quite the great work he'd be doing later in the 2000's but not incapable of working the big-man style. V has some nice power moves but he noticeably tags in Mark when Kane has to do his big comeback spot and actually, you know, bump. Kane has a good hot tag but ultimately gets overwhelmed by the pair's strength and power. V tries his weird, "I'll flop on top of you and do nothing" spot that he keeps doing to no fanfare. He gets rocked with splashes and lariats until Punk manages to get in and turn the tide. There's a weird botched kick where Punk wiffs V but he no sells it and there's some dead air, but he gets some nice high-flying offence in with a Shining Wizard to boot. Punk tries his best but one too many high-risk moves gets him in trouble, and he loses to a Samoan drop after getting caught mid air. Ultimately, this is a bit plodding: everyone outside of Punk isn't exactly spring-heeled: but if you like big dudes doing big power moves a lot, this is for you. Not actually that bad considering the talent involved but Punk adds good heat and wrestling to make this slightly better than it would be otherwise."
